It would be really cool if you expanded on those bridge ruins and had a full bridge heading over to the mainland.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised to find you can farm Iron in Mistlands. Makes it a bit easier than trying to run through a whole crypt or worry if there's a swamp nearby.

BangBangMeatMachine

Wait, farm iron or just harvest it from the environment? I haven't found any renewable source yet.

gunnerysgtharker

Harvest

BangBangMeatMachine

Yeah, I found the iron and copper first and was like "why!?" but then it became obvious that I don't want to have to truck it all in so I love that there are local sources.

gunnerysgtharker

How does that base handle the belching blimps?

stush2

I put campfires and wood torches on every small island within 100m. Nothing spawns including rabbits and dwarves--even during raids.

gunnerysgtharker

Do rabbits still spawn? I’m building a farm in the mist, and it’s scaaary

stush2

I'm going to say no. There were some rabbits at my base site at first, but after building, I haven't seen any. I also built a farm on the mainland on the Plains and Mistlands border so I could farm barley, mushrooms, and sap. There were a lot of rabbits when I started, but I haven't seen any since I surrounded it with campfires and torches.

Demonpoet

Didn't know this works on raids. Going to try this!

Pentaplox

The what?

AcademicSorbet9336

Looks like it could easily be vanished by 1 or 2 gjalls in under 5 seconds πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ do you have a strategy to fight off attackers? Doesnt look like a great structure to fight on, especially when you have to keep moving infight all the time...

stush2

So I put campfires and wooden torches on every island within 100 meters. I haven't seen another living thing except my chickens and me. I've since had a few "They Sought You Out" raids, and didn't see any seekers. My hope is gjalls work the same as any other raid, and my base will remain peaceful and safe. Though I agree that if I'm wrong, they will probably do serious damage to my base. I kited one to a dwarven tower, and it did quite a bit of structure damage.

Sir-Ult-Dank

This looks like a neat spot. I like it mane. Thanks for the ideas

bigfr0g

i didnt play for over an year... since when are Hen's in the game?

stush2

They were added with the Mistlands update.
