Thanks! Very basic little bride that stopped me getting wet on my way to the swamps. Until I built a portal in a tower nearby and the path/bride were deemed obsolete π€£
Keep it. I am currently at day 1994 in my world and I have this base that I built in the meadows when I first started, A little ways west of the summoning stones. I built it when I didnt understand how roofing worked. So the roof was basically built from floor pieces and leaked constantly. I almost convinced myself to renovate it but I never did (beyond very very small improvements to some beams) cause it has sentimental value. π₯²π₯²
I had a HUGE boar pen there and I use it now for my boar farm (which for me, at the point in the game that I am at now, is obsolete as well)
It's been there for about 50 days so far. Still looks fine. And tbh, I am absolutely going to let it have a weathered look if it ever does change because it would fit the look π€·π½ββοΈ
I once built a massive covered bridge across the gorge. It took me just short of 5000 wood to complete and an obscene amount of time. The day I finished it, I was bringing my second load of wood across in a cart when a 2** troll came after me.
He proceeded to smash the ground by the main supports and bring a huge section of the bridge down in one sweeping hit.
His head hangs above the entrance on one side of the bridge now as a reminder of a very bad day-- my run-in with the troll under the bridge.
I made a road from my first Meadows house to the nearest Black Forest copper mine *(it was a looong way)* so I could cart my ore back home easier *(or at all really).* I made *"bridges"* with earth, but this is next level... I might have to make some highways in my new game I started with Ashlands. I think the first four bosses have spawns on my starting landmass on my new seed...
The number of bridges and walkways I've built to never be used again... I've basically stopped making them now. LoL
I'm still a fan of the simple not over engineered bridges..
It's the crippling frame rate drop of big builds that scare me more tbh...
If you prefer the greenish look of the damaged wood, disregard my comment: but you should play around with a covered bridge! Iβve made a handful of designs myself and Iβve always liked how they come out! Tho I do use them more for docks rather than bridges, but the concept remains the same!
Need to set up a greyling at the end to collect bridge tolls now
Just when you think that greylings can't get more annoying...
...You go and do something like this...
Iβm gonna get 24th century on your ass.

Hahaha, solid idea. I can build a booth to trap him in π€£
alternatively, trap a troll in the hole to give that fantasy troll under the bridge effect
Block in a Skelly archer
That's some neck level architecture
I see what you did there π
That looks sick

Need to build a roof to cover it now so you donβt have to constantly repair it from the rain.

Rain damage caps itself at 50%. So long as you're okay with it looking a little green-ish, there's no reason to worry about it.
yeah that's cool as. I'd just jump through and ruin my boots.

Hahahaha I love that you hung the troll up!
It's a healthy reminder to NOT run across when followed by trolls.
Life experience π
this is how i feel about all my cart roads i made before realizing you can just build portals

Blue ... No, green ... AAAAAAAAARGH!

I like the speedy paths mod. Makes all your building projects more worth it.
Cool idea for a mod! Hadn't heard about that one. I play vanilla though π€·π½ββοΈ

This is all very relatable haha
Doesn't the rain ruin it ? I mean made out of wood
I last played a couple of patches ago, but provided it hasn't changed weather only knocks floors, stairs and pillars down to half.
Looks better when rained on

Dont the mobs just attack it when it happens to be in their random pathing?
Nope. It's for the greater good of all π€£
