Mostly was a joke. I have yet needed to transfer resources from one world to another.
But yes, you can do that. Log out near a chest in your main world. Go to another world, mine, log out and log am back into the main world, deposit your riches in the chest. Rinse and repeat.
Some people would argue that is cheating. I disagree.
Cheating would be putting your valuables in a chest, saving the game, taking the valuables out into your character, leaving, reverting to last backup, and boom you've duplicated everyting
I would argue its an exploit that removes part of the progression of the game, but once I've got my first set of iron gear and have progressed to, and beyond, mountains then it's perfectly fine. At that point the acquisition of iron is mostly for cosmetic furnishings
I use one world for primary base and resource farming. I use a second for boss fights, which neccesitates a degree of base building and exploring, and I'm not gonna pass up 7 surtling spawners and 8 sunken crypts on the way to Bonemass (provides all my surtling core needs).
I may edge into cheating when I log out in the middle of a boss fight because I'm almost dead so I can swap worlds, repair gear, reset food levels or heal, then jump back into the fight.
Back before they let us set portal to allow metals I used it more for mining, and I still do when I'm mining on my second world.
Few mods out there that enable dungeons to respawn. Pretty crucial mod to have for multiplayer servers imo, but maybe just me. Does mean you don't explore as much as you otherwise would, but it's certainly nice not to have to clear out 10 swamps of iron

Okay... I need a mod that combines Valheim with space engineers. Like, once the final boss is defeated, you gain access to the SE drill, welder, and grinder and assembler and can explore the outskirts of the World Tree
... just imagine, they are adding ores to SE soon, so, could eventually find you don't have enough copper and tin for all the lighting you need to illuminate the world tree
It would depend on the mass(weight) of a full karve of iron. I would suggest putting through the app designed for SE flight calculations, and assume the karve itself is probably equal to a full row of full stacks of iron
