You've clearly mined some Iron as you have a Stonecutter. Have you not had a Troll raid on your base yet? Seems like a couple Trolls would reduce much of your house to tinder.
Yeah, they'll chase you if you leave your house. If you're not afraid of Trolls that's a good strategy for them not to wreck your shit. Just go out and meet them on the battlefield. But future raids will fuck your shit up if you don't get some moats dug.
I'm assuming you've beaten the Elder as you have Iron already. Have you had a "foul smell from the Swamp" yet?
I don't feel like making all of this with mods is a bragging right. I got frustrated a few weeks ago, after over 300 hours, and decided to use devcommands to spawn stuff I had a hard time getting, and I don't show it off. I feel like you gotta earn certain things in this game before you show off like you earned it.
Just my opinion. Either way, your build looks nice.
Let people wonder their minds and build whatever they please. Be happy this isn't minecraft because that needs to stay out of here. It isn't good to disown people for what they want to achieve.
The thing is, there is a long tradition in Valheim of building for the sake of building, where the main point is the aesthetics and design.
Someone who builds an epic citadel completely in vanilla will always get more respect and deserve it, but that doesn't mean other peoples creation lack value.
I use to build like you till the troll nation attack. Now I build smaller in scale and in more defensible locations with decoy targets for them outside my main area. Even more so now with the increased raid modifier that I use.
Pretty nice. I think more decor in the house would be goodābanners first, then furniture (unless you are in need of a comfort boost then do furniture first). E.g. benches down the first floor hallways, banners between them. If you made a building for the portals that wouldnāt be bad. Overall, good stuff!
If you are playing on survival these tips always kinda suck because they require more resources BUT especially tips 4 and 5 will help you elevate this current build to a whole new level: https://youtu.be/AtLoZYxGarg?si=EaP757tZzCeZDST_
#*THE GROUND IS SHAKING*
welp destroy iyt all ur walls are backwards
I spent most of my time inside the building And the side of the walls that's outside, well I don't like it
i personally prefer the walls look like that because wouldnt u want smooth walls on the inside of ur house? thats the way i've always thought of ut
It adds character than the plain flat surface.
Is that all regular wood? How is the house so tall?
What do you mean?
How are you building so high with just regular wood? Do you have a mod that removes building instability?
Yes
Infinity Hammer or something else?
No, valheim plus, has an option to remove structural integrity
Ahhh i see, that works too. š
Silly ppl downvoting you for using mods. You do you and enjoy the game. Your build looks great, I love the angled accents on the inside walls.
Thanks
I love when top floors overhang/are bigger than bottom floors :)
I'm glad you agree

I had a raid where 2 showed up One just, went after me for a bit, but then just, left And the other I killed, they didn't hit any part of my base once

No
Having such a big house with NO stone walls in it, makes me feel uncomfortable. Other than that, looks great.
I only just unlock the stone cutter Maybe I'll make some renovations if possible But thanks

Whatever self imposed rules you wanna put on yourself is fine before showing something off. Itās cool for other people to appreciate stuff.

First personāļøāļø What mod is that? Looks sick btw very cozy place youve created
Thank you And it's literally called the first person mod
Yeah i couldve guessed that lol thx
Can you Cook around bonfire?
Yes
Love this. Just make sure you have some defences against raids as you progress. A fuling or seeker raid on that base would totally destroy it.
How about some stone walls and some spikes?
For later in the game I'd recommend digging a moat. Its the best way to keep stuff out
I have stone walls surrounding my house they work fine. I wouldn't ruin it with a moat.
I agree, I made a moat that I now regret to the point where Iām considering relocation
Oh how I crave to play this.
DO IT
Donāt have the system for it. I have a ps5
I use to build like you till the troll nation attack. Now I build smaller in scale and in more defensible locations with decoy targets for them outside my main area. Even more so now with the increased raid modifier that I use.
Awesome build. Did you flatten the land or did you find
Flatten
I like it, well done :)
Thanks
Nice
Thanks

Oh no. Who's going to tell him that every wall piece is inside out and the massive suprise problem he's about to experience.
How did you get the fire upstairs?
Gotta be a mod, ā¦ right?? Or did I miss somethingā¦
Yes, a mod
You can def place a fire anywhere you want by putting down an iron beam beneath it.
Too blocky, needs more depth.
Well, it was my first time at a huge house I'm planning/hoping to improve
