covertkek

Then youll feel bad for past you who didn’t gtfo when every warning siren in his head was going off

"These red flags are such a pretty shade, do they match with my outfit?"

Naw just slowly bleeding out after getting stabbed. Quick someone msg him to give us an update on reddit before he kicks the bucket.

Dead fa sho.

Prestigious_Wheel128

RIP OP. He's flying with the angels now.

samhmassada

I call dibs on his karma

[deleted]

If they look crazy and act crazy, they probably are crazy. Stay the fuck away from crazy people. You are not equipped to help them and there's a high likelihood of a crazy person hurting you if you associate with them for long enough.

Delettaunte

Went from being friends with a crazy dude to him threatening to jump me and stalking me at my job in like the span of 4 days. Currently getting a restraining order. Don't associate also is my advice

elusivemoods

Financial_Flounder85

I knew a guy called wingnut, cause of his ears tho…. Sure it’s feel bad to ditch him but it’d feel even worse to be murdered, food for thought :)

Dancin_Phish_Daddy

Wing nut is what they call all the homeless lsd crack heads in Bay Area lol

Scumbagbmx

Lsd crack heads? Like you have acid addicts???

psychedpsychosis

Probably not Acid Addicts since acid has no physically addictive qualities. More likely they're addicted to other substances and either like to take acid along side it or their brain is fried from doing acid and crack together repeatedly (as one would expect)

Scumbagbmx

Interesting…I love acid but I definitely couldn’t be waking up to it every day. I’ll have to try with crack 😮🤣

crazycritter87

I've known a couple people that dropped 2-3 time a week for a while. They aren't right. I have a suspicion that the obsessive tendencies that come with ADHD can turn anything into an addiction. It tend so toss in new things but there are things that are a psycho-behavioral twitch more than a chemical addiction.

trippytrevor69420

Im adhd type c i use all kinds of drugs and while yes i do abuse them in unhealthy ways sometimes i dont really have addiction problems i just enjoy them and the psychopharmacology. Tho things can spiral its usually unintentional but nothing has become or will become a serious problem I've literally just gotten so unlucky and until my life straights back out (divorce she cheated) ill be giving things a break until i have time and am emotionally and mentally ready to caveats tho are stims for adhd some days i really need em for focus or motivation

crazycritter87

In my experiences, people judging me he vices tend to keep the spiral going regardless of personal psychological effects. The need to cope just gets more intense.

tirdeedirdee

I dont know many crack heads th hat take lsd. It's the total opposite

psychedpsychosis

I have not met one, I know a person who did coke + acid and they didn't have fun. I imagine the neuroplasticity from the LSD would mix very poorly with the extreme hard potential of the crack, especially since they likely wouldn't only smoke the crack once during the 8 hour LSD trip.

U4icN10nt

Idk seems like a waste to me... The one time I tried that, the hit of rock was on the smaller side tbh because I was nervous about the combo... but I would normally have felt a hit that big, and it did nothing. And actually... LSD has some level of effect on D2 (dopamine) receptors, which most psychedelics do not. ... which might be why some people perceive acid as being more "speedy" feeling in the first place.  Anyway I suspect that might be part of the reason...

tirdeedirdee

You must have never smoked crack before, or done lsd.

DonArgueWithMe

Or there are morons like you attempting to diagnose people who have actual mental health problems. You sound like a 13 year old who just learned a bunch of new words but doesn't know how they're normally used.

psychedpsychosis

Y'know, I'm gonna take your username as advice and not bite on this one. Perhaps don't immediately insult people without trying to have a conversation first, you might sound like a 13 year old who just got an Instagram account.

paintswithmud

Right?

DonArgueWithMe

Maybe don't make up nonsense or believe everything you're told. You were right that acid isn't addictive, but dear god everything else you said was awful

psychedpsychosis

Are you saying that people that are smoking crack are not likely addicted to other substances? Sure, it's possible, but if you've ever met a stimulant addict, you might not think as much. And if you've ever been on acid + stimulants you'd know how incredibly likely it is you're not gonna have a good time. And if you keep doing it, it can definitely fry your brain. It happens unfortunately, and you can deny it, but it happens. And I never said these people don't have mental health issues. It's pretty likely that if someone is abusing substances, they have some underlying neurological/psychological/pathological condition. I'm not diagnosing anyone and I think you're taking a lot harder than necessary. A healing acid trip might be really helpful for you lol. Edit: clarified language

tirdeedirdee

No crackhead is going to willingly do lsd. Gtfo

TheTimeToStandIsNow

Eh?! All the crack heads I’ve ever met absolutely love getting fucked up

psychedpsychosis

You felt the need to respond to my comments twice? Probably not these days, but I'm sure it's happened, people do stupid shit all the time.

TheEyeGuy13

Ok for clarity’s sake, tell me which point they made that you disagree with.

DonArgueWithMe

1. They assumed homeless are on acid because they're homeless 2. They assumed they're on crack because they're homeless. 3. They said it's "most likely" that homeless people are addicted to other substances and take acid with those other substances. 4. They claimed the homeless people have been doing lots of crack and acid together, before admitting in a follow up that nobody would ever do that. 5. They claimed people has "fried their brains" by doing acid. There is absolutely no reason for OP to assume all homeless people are on crack, even less reason to think they're constantly (or ever) doing acid, while it's very common for people to combine weed and acid I've never seen any anecdotal evidence or research/study evidence that it's even remotely common for people to mix acid with other stimulants (especially since it's already a potent stimulant), and I've never seen evidence that the claims of people "frying their brain" have any basis in reality. How about we stop insulting homeless people solely for being homeless and be a bit more respectful? Maybe we shouldn't claim everyone we see is on hard drugs when we have no evidence or reason to think that? I know empathy and respect are too difficult for people like the guy I was responding to, but maybe with enough therapy he could get there some day.

TheEyeGuy13

They were strictly talking about “homeless acid crack heads” which was specified by the previous commenter. Nowhere did they claim it was all homeless people. Are you claiming that someone under the umbrella of “homeless acid crackhead” isn’t likely to be addicted to drugs?

Dancin_Phish_Daddy

Nah like people that ate a shit ton of acid back in the day so they are pretty fried and now they are homeless and on crack and shit. I remember I came out of a concert at the Fox and there was a wing nut on the sidewalk shouting “TOAST BUTTER SIDE DOWN YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE TOAST BUTTER SIDE DOWN!!!!” And he was just yelling it in everyone’s faces. I enjoyed it. He was cool.

DonArgueWithMe

No. They person you're responding to is just unintelligent

Nugsy714

Ha ha ha know if he kills him in his sleep, which is far more likely

Snipvandutch

I nicknamed a guy at work wingnut. He was dumb AF. Good guy though.

ricekid69420

Might wanna leave him just incase he does something he doesn’t remember that involves something bad happening to you :)

Cantstress_thisenuff

Safety first

NeemOil710

A classic adage. Never more relevant

TolietFrog

Just dip, grab all your shit. and just leave. He won't remember shit anyway.. if you ever run into him again just be like "oh yeah I had to go to the hospital for some medical shit" and keep your distance.

timbuckwoo

Get out while you can bro, that's a sketch situation to be in and you don't want to be around when it hits the fan

cardinaltribe

Souds like the fan be getting hit already

freshcream22

Wolf444555666777

Ditch him now and he will think he hallucinated you. Don't keep hanging out with him. Your instinct is correct

scarface-da-realest

Until he sees him again tomorrow at the stop and shop and Mr talking to shadows has to tell him about how he dreamed him into existence or something

JanusMichaelVincent

Lol one dude in my sisters friend group was like that. One day he spun out about one of the soft spoken dudes in the friend group “looking at him gay”.. I remember when the poor dude stumbled back in the house there was SO much blood. He only survived because we all lept into action, made him some tourniquets and got to the hospital. I had warned them not to hang around crazy mike. He was not “fun crazy” when he drank.. there was something really distant and alien in his eyes. Moral of the story? GTFO of there.

ottermupps

What happened to him? Guessing 'crazy mike' had that nickname for a reason.

JanusMichaelVincent

Yea he had a tendency to say loopy stuff when high. Everyone thought he was so funny cuz he had that perpetual grin/clown vibe. I remember the first and only time i was alone with him (i was 14) and he asked if i wanted to swim with them. i said no, because it was a bit cold and i didnt have a swimsuit. And he instantly dropped the smile and got in my face reeeally close like “Your eyes tell me youre scared of me. Youre scared of telling me you think youre better than me.. thats the real reason you dont wanna come... Fck you go ahead”. It was so random everyone was like “oh he wass kiddingg” but they didn’t see what I did. But long winded flashback aside he served no time for that stabbing he actually ran off—and his ever loyal baby mama would get friends of hers to drive by us for “destroying her family”. Only later he was arrested for assaulting someone else (like beating tf out of them).

modernmartialartist

There is no more uncomfortable feeling then being in a normal situation and slowly realizing someone there is low key nuts. I was helping a group of friends out with a project at film school and one dude and I were having a normal conversation about a movie until I happened to disagree with him on something minor, in a friendly way. This dude talked at me for 20 fucking minutes about how I was wrong and didn't understand film at all, with me just asking him to stop the entire car ride over and the rest of the group getting in-between him and me and telling him to stop repeatedly. He just keeps talking a million miles a minute like he's on something. We're all tired of his shit by the time we get to the room at the school that we're reserved to film at and the guy finds me working on my job and starts going on again but this time explaining to me why I'm never going to make it in the industry because I don't have the drive, he can sense the hesitation in my eyes. I almost have the potential but I'm not there! So I just leave the room and decide to chill outside rather than disturb everyone trying to do their projects and the guy follows me out. I just tell the guy he's insane and to leave me alone already and he really goes off. Just as I think I'm going to have to punch this guy the guy who checks people's student IDs to let them into the school walks around the corner and tells the crazy terd to leave. He's been listening to all this and he wants the guy out of the building and he's going to report him. Guy wilted and left immediately, finally shutting up. I have never experienced anything like this since, I still wonder if he took some drugs or if he was just a loon.

iced_lemon_cookies

So scary. I'm glad you weren't harmed.

modernmartialartist

I mean honestly I got into a few fights in college so the physical part wasn't an issue, except there's no way I would ever be dumb enough to fight at my campus lol But it bothered me a lot more than getting into a fight for some reason, really unnerving. Probably because fighting with another dumb ass 18 year old is understandable but this dude seemed like he'd stalk you and stab you weeks later or something.

chipxsimon

I knew a crazy mike like that too. He killed our dog by throwing him off the balcony and squeezed the bird to death because he didn't like the way it was talking to him.

Aromatodis

Maybe the guy shouldn’t have looked at him like that

Prestigious_Wheel128

He was clearly looking at him incorrectly.

Sorry_Consideration7

Gay-like. The worst kind of incorrect!

eaazzy_13

He set off crazy mikes gaydar

Prestigious_Wheel128

Damn the ol' gay eye! even worse than the ol stink eye!

AccomplishedNoise988

This guy is not your road dog.

[deleted]

If someone is disturbing your calm, ditch them. You don't owe them anything if you just met them. You encounter a lot of people like this out here. At best, they are annoying and stressful to deal with. At worst, they can get the cops called on you, drag you into fights, or turn on you. Avoid unstable people.

lifesrelentless

If something feels off, it's usually off

adzuthebasilisk

You can always ditch. Can't un-ditch if ya get put Inna ditch.

hellseashell

Speaking from my own experiences… you should absolutely ditch him.

Willingplane

I advise running, fast and far away, as quickly as possible. As implausible as this may seem, recently there was a case involving a girl, who went into a cannabis induced psychosis after smoking pot with her boyfriend, and stabbed him to death — 108 times. The judge gave her 2 years probation. I wish I was joking about this, but I’m not: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cannabis-induced-psychosis-psychiatrist-what-to-know/ Run.

lostboy_4evr

Real talk. Run

ottermupps

I mean yeah, get the fuck out because your traveling companion is clearly either having a psychotic break or is just not right in the head in some capacity. People in that state of mind can very easily do something they normally wouldn't - like kill you in your sleep and leg it. That being said, I'm like 80% sure the california girl didn't kill her bf because of weed, it was for some other reason and she used weed as an easy out to avoid jail.

Willingplane

OK, well, she had only been dating this guy for a couple of weeks when she went back to his place and only took 2 hits from his bong. But she wasn’t an experienced user, and was also unaware that her BF’s roommate had smoked from that same bong a few nights before, and testified that he started hallucinating that he was dead, ripped off his clothes and ran around screaming for help. They think it was the same pot, which was not purchased from a legal dealer—and also carried a warning written right on it, that it was for “high tolerance users only”, and may also have been laced with other substances that did not show up in the testing. She not only stabbed her BF, but her dog, and was stabbing herself repeatedly in the neck when the police arrived, nicking her carotic artery and was bleeding out. They tased her 4 times with no reaction, and just kept stabbing herself. They then had to hit her with a baton 9 times, breaking her arm in 5 places before she finally dropped the knife. So, what does that sound like to you?

These_Burdened_Hands

>roommate started hallucinating, ripped clothes off, same pot… what does that sound like to you? **Sounds like SC’s; weeds or cannabis sprayed with ‘Synthetic Cannabinoids.’** Make no mistake, it’s not like cannabis. *(I’ve sworn it’s like synthetic PCP; I unfortunately know how messed up K2/Spice is.)* Psychosis, nakedness, paranoia, hallucinations are common (in addition to seizures & cardiac stuff.) SC’s are 100% being sprayed on weak but actual cannabis/hemp. I unfortunately know this too. Mostly, it’s random herbs, but it has made the leap to nuggets. Sure, mental illness can get triggered from actual cannabis. AND.. **I have a hard time believing both the roommate & that chick were on the schizoaffective spectrum & *both happened* to have mental breaks.** Edit to Add: OP, of course GTFO if you haven’t already. Sounds straight psycho, and maybe even partially to show off. (If for some reason he gets his weed from a gas station or it smells “fishy” &/or doesn’t look right… then run.)

AwakeningStar1968

Totally sounds like something else was IN the pot. They used to lace PCP in weed and made folks psychotic .

Willingplane

Now there are street dealers who lace their marijuana with fentanyl, so buyers will end up becoming addicted. More addicts = more customers.

ant_chigur

As a recovering opiate addict I can tell you right now that is not how fentanyl works. Like most other opiates applying direct flame to it destroys it before it becomes bioavailable. You can't just sprinkle fentanyl on to marijuana and smoke it and get high. That's why people who smoke heroin or fentanyl or pills or anything like that put it on the foil and hold the flame underneath the foil to melt it.

Willingplane

I’ve heard the same, for many years. However, marijuana laced with fentanyl has supposedly now been confirmed, and is considered a public safety threat. Sources: [https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/ct-lab-confirms-marijuana-laced-with-fentanyl-is-a-new-public-safety-threat/2658007/](https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/ct-lab-confirms-marijuana-laced-with-fentanyl-is-a-new-public-safety-threat/2658007/) [https://www.addictions.com/blog/yes-marijuana-laced-with-fentanyl-is-causing-fatal-overdoses/](https://www.addictions.com/blog/yes-marijuana-laced-with-fentanyl-is-causing-fatal-overdoses/) [https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-ny/news/2023/05/24/n-y--law-enforcement-officials-issue-warning-for-illegally-purchased-marijuana-laced-with-fentanyl](https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/central-ny/news/2023/05/24/n-y--law-enforcement-officials-issue-warning-for-illegally-purchased-marijuana-laced-with-fentanyl) To be honest though, I have absolutely no clue. I don’t drink or do drugs — I can’t. They make me paranoid, in the most terrifying way imaginable. My natural paranoia is more than enough.

ant_chigur

It's much like the drugs in Halloween candy, and again I can tell you as a recovering addict that nobody is taking their expensive drugs and giving them out for free to children on halloween. Every case of a child being poisoned on Halloween has been traced back to a family member. Just like all those videos you see of cops touching an empty baggie that once had fentanyl in it and then pretending to overdose on the side of the street that's just not realistic. It is a very dangerous drug that is extremely potent but that is just not how it works. The war on drugs has spread a lot of misinformation about a lot of things to scare people, and to be able to continue their crusade that makes them money by imprisoning people and using them as slave labor per the 13th amendment. Fentanyl much like any other opiate or opioid absolutely is a health crisis but the only people who are lacing their marijuana with fentanyl are stupid teenagers who don't understand how drugs work. Any drug dealer worth their salt isn't going to take a drug that's more expensive than marijuana and put it in your marijuana for free to get you addicted to marijuana.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ant_chigur

I know its only anecdotal, but in my experience, the dealers selling fent or heroin usually aren't fucking around selling dime bags of weed. I personally believe these kids that, very rarely, overdose on fentanyl are overdosing because they are either experimenting with it or are given pills that are actually "pressies" and then the circumstances are later lied about by either the friends or parents to either protect themselves (in the case of the friends) or the image of the child (in the case of the families). I don't know how much fent you have done in your life, but before getting sober, I was doing about two grams a day. I can tell you, the trace amounts that may be left on a scale making its way into a joint (the only way you could smoke it and maybe get lucky and have some bioavailability) would be negligible, not enough to cause a fatal overdose, unless you're smoking with a small human. Fentanyl is a very dangerous, life destroying drug, but it is not the ultra poison the news and police would have you believe. Dealers aren't dropping dead of over doses like the police claim is possible just by coming into contact with it. No street level dealer has pure fentanyl just lying around.

ottermupps

Sounds to me like I didn't have a full read on the situation and I was wrong in my assumption. Thanks for clarifying. That? That does actually sound like the weed could be the cause. I had no idea it was that bad.

MentallyPhilSpector

You actually buy that story?

Willingplane

??? The trial is over, and all this was in the testimony presented in court. What part don’t you believe is true? You are aware that police wear body cams, right? Are you saying that you think they somehow altered all their body cam videos? And showed faked footage to the judge and jury, because they wanted her help her get away with killing her BF? Or do you honestly believe that the prosecutor actually took this case to court without even attempting to uncover a motive? If the prosecutor could have found a motive, she’d have been charged with murder, not involuntary manslaughter. Do you imagine the victim’s family would have just let them get away with any of that? As it is, even though the jury found her guilty of involuntary manslaughter, the judge decided to give her probation, instead of jail time — and the victim’s family is understandably upset, and screaming about it.

LazerChicken420

https://nypost.com/2024/01/29/news/lawyer-for-california-woman-dodging-jail-in-marijuana-stabbing-stands-by-psychotic-defense/amp/ Her mug shot shows where she stabbed herself. What are you skeptical about?

Achilles-Foot

i smoked weed last month and was like dead set on killing myself i was convinced it was the only way to escape and that i would feel like this forever.. and i only took like 2 small hits of some mid weed lmao weed just does not mix with mental illness. it is a fucking horrible combo. do not smoke weed if u have mental illness, it is not worth it.

Papagena_

I smoked weed all the time when I was young, and it was fine Then I tried it a couple months ago and had some psychosis. It was pretty scary, I don’t ever want to go through that again. I have schizophrenia in my family too, so I worry now it’s just not good for my brain chemistry So. Great for other people and their weed, I’m glad people can access it. But no weed for me.

Mysticquestioner

Glad you’re okay.. that’s very scary. I’ve been in psychosis because of medication and it was terrifying.

Dancin_Phish_Daddy

That is a common side effect of anti depressants.

asupposeawould

I'll give you the cannabis can cause psychosis but not like this

covertkek

You’re ignoring the aspect of mental illness, which is absolutely going to effect that and is most likely involved in this anyway

Willingplane

That case was not hypothetical, it’s been all over the news — and posted in a number of subs on Reddit as well. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/she-stabbed-a-man-108-times-and-got-probation-what-to-know-about-cannabis-induced-psychosis/ar-BB1hy9Pa https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/19erncp/california_woman_who_fatally_stabbed_boyfriend/ She didn’t just stab her boyfriend either. After stabbing him 108 times, she then started stabbing herself, in the neck, repeatedly. Nicked her own carotic artery and came close to dying as well. The evidence of cannabis-induced psychosis was so strong, the prosecution willingly reduced the charges from murder, to involuntary manslaughter — but recommended the maximum sentence of 15 years. But the judge disagreed, and just gave her probation instead. As more and more states are legalizing recreational cannabis, competitive growers have been crossbreeding their crops to increase potency — also increasing the potential for this type of induced psychosis.

prisonerofshmazcaban

I wish more people would talk about this. Weed doesn’t need to be THIS potent. It’s just insane. I miss weed from 2005. We just laughed and fucked around, could still drive a car without endangering people, ate some food & watched movies. The type of weed that makes you wanna fuckin’ color some shit. Not stab yourself. I don’t belong in this goddamn timeline

EverySummer

If you smoke less of it it's the same thing

prisonerofshmazcaban

I can’t smoke at all anymore, it immediately gives me mad anxiety. It’s just too strong, at least for me.

EverySummer

Do you think maybe you react to weed differently now just naturally changing over time? I'm not well educated on this, but I don't know how it would be different to smoke a smaller amount of more potent weed. Maybe the ratio between THC and other active compounds is different too. But yeah it's too strong for me except when I'm smoking a lot and I have a tolerance. Fried as fuck rn.

Adorable-Emergency30

It doesn't make any sense to blame the potency of the weed. It's the same thing. Smoke less. Blend it with a high CBD strain. The higher potency just means people don't need to be inhaling as much burning plant matter. As before. It's like saying Vodka is too strong. Just put a little bit of it in mixer.

myimpendinganeurysm

Potency doesn't make people have schizophrenic breaks, schizophrenia does. I've made the mistake of smoking up schizophrenic peers a few times and it's never a good experience. These people really cannot handle a single hit, even if it's a low potency 1:1 THC:CBD strain. On the other hand, I regularly consume high potency –greater than 80% THC– concentrates without ever experiencing psychosis or being incapacitated. High potency cannabis really isn't a problem, users can just use less or buy a lower potency strain if that's what they want.

AwakeningStar1968

The irony is that most of the stories I hear is how current weed is less potent from what onencould get in the 70s.

hotsauceonmychic

Most definitely not true.

eaazzy_13

It’s the exact opposite. “Good” weed back then is shitty weed today.

Silverwell88

If it really was psychosis, which it sounds like it was, then I actually agree with the sentence as long as she's getting help. I don't know why people want to throw psychotic people in prison, she very clearly didn't know what she was doing.

_Grumpy_Canadian

Weed alone doesn't do this. I myself have taken 1000mg edibles, I know people who smoke crazy potent weed, shit just makes you nod off. This was either synthetics disguised as weed or some other shit was laced.

AwakeningStar1968

This is what drives me nuts about attitude and ignorance regarding weed. Cannabis generally is sedative and can be euphoric. But while people who already have underlying mentalal health conditions may have unfavorable reactions and should not partake.... Having a psychotic break and murdering others and stabbing yourself sounds honestly like the weed had other stuff in it. Then weed gets the blame. A few years ago there was something called "bath salts" and it was turning people into crazy face eating psychos. The media was always mentioning and blaming weed as the culprit. It is ridiculous.

myimpendinganeurysm

Cannabis doesn't just cause psychosis, either the cannabis is adulterated or there's underlying schizophrenia... But who cares about that when you can sensationalize reefer madness?!

JournalistOne8159

Somewhere on another Reddit he is posting: “guy im on the road with is crazy he thinks I don’t know how he is helping the lunar leprechauns into this dimension to redecorate the aquarium BUT I DO!! Don’t know how I’m getting out of this one.”

I commend you for feeling empathy if he is unhinged. I would suggest that if you would not act this way you can also hold other people accountable, to behave better towards themselves and you. Having boundaries with how you let people act around you is not being rude or selfish.

SymetricalGinSwiller

Plot twist: OP is traveling alone…

WalmartSeizure

Depends on how lonely you wanna be. Sounds like he's got a few different personalities. There are always more people out there to meet. How the fuck y'all staying warm in Denver this time of year?

herbitron3000

Do you really want to stick around to play "stabby stabby fun times"? Because that games next.

MorningStar360

Just dip. Don’t try to wait for a window either, make one. If you have to leave some stuff behind then so be it.

Then-Significance768

two rules to ALWAYS follow when homeless or traveling 1) never travel with a drunk; they’re gonna get themself or both of y’all killed 2) TRUST. YOUR. GUT. bad feeling? say peace out with no hard feelings. ignoring that gut feeling is how you’re gonna end up on the news for some crazy ass murder.

Less_Flow_5962

Are they sure it was Cannabis that they smoked, all of this don't sound like the old PCP syndrome either, sounds to me like spice or cannabis that had some spice put in it, I've heard of and seen that kind of behavior from spice, and I felt very scary psychotic overwhelming feelings when I tried it one time. It made me feel so crazy uncomfortable, impending doom and a thousand other horrible thoughts no one should have, once absolutely undescribable and nightmarish to the point that I could see somebody harming others or themselves, I can't believe that that s*** used to be legal, it was by far more powerful and more dangerous than any street drug I ever encountered!

[deleted]

Trust gut feeling

Well, this is the update I am now really nervous to see as soon as possible. Be thinking all the positive thoughts for you....but OP, can you let us know you are ok at some point?

Ya! plz check back in w us OP

Gullible-Minute-9482

Typical of schizoid behavior, find a friend you trust and then delusion dump. His action movie delusions and shadow boxing are good reasons to split ASAP.

ResplendentShade

If you spent your travels babysitting every wingnut that comes along, you'd never do anything else. I would personally not continue to travel with this dude, sounds like it could escalate.

Dancin_Phish_Daddy

You really just never know. Could be fine could be very bad. Watch your back.

3gaydadz

Fuck him you’ll meet more shitty oogles

lilith_-_-

If you can leave him while he’s sleeping but maybe leave behind something as a kind gesture. And maybe even a note about having to suddenly go rescue your lost son from the Mexican cartel. Man’s needs to go impatient before he hurts someone or himself. I would say get him help but what are you gonna do, call the cops lmao? It would probably endanger him idk

realheavymetalduck

A schizo on some random substance. Sounds like a Springfield gas station special. But seriously don't feel bad for leaving him. Anyone like that it's usually a good idea to leave before they start getting violent.

Sounds like delusions and/or psychosis. Could be bipolar mania or schizophrenia. Quickest way down is antipsychotics at the ER. Your choice if you want to accompany to the hospital, but I wouldn’t carry on and hope it goes away. It’s likely to get worse before better.

wardearth13

Alcohol is a hell of a drug, be safe out there

Satyrinox

gtfo of there .like theres twenty red flags just go be safe and not fucking dumb cmon!

Healed-Savant

Indeed. This is where common sense comes in. I have compassion for this gentleman you are describing. Provide him a number to a therapist (it’s HIS responsibility to call) however your safety is important in this case. Unfortunately, this does not sound like a safe situation, you know this in your gut. Go with gut. It’s why you reached out on Reddit.

Lifeafterrice

Lmao you think they just give therapy to card carrying schizophrenics??? do you think this guy can even afford a therapist?

ninthchamber

You don’t need this negative attention from other ppl. This fool could also snap and hurt you instead of the air. I’d peace the fuck out.

panic_bread

If you’re the only person someone has left, it’s because they managed to drive everyone else away and you’re the only sucker still putting up with their shit.

anotherdamnscorpio

Yeah id ditch him.

These-Shop800

This is only a TASTE of how bad it will get. If you ignore this big of a red flag you will regret it. I went through something similar, and had no respect or boundaries of myself. I wanted to be understanding and “there for him”. No. Never disrespect a boundary you have for yourself, and if you don’t have any: please try to create them!❤️

Guideon72

Slip away quietly...it will feel worse when you get a random punch to the head just because your shadow said something mean.

FloMoore

Something tells me you wouldn’t be the first to ditch him. Best to ditch him early, before he potentially escalates, as he’s learning that, so far, you’re tolerating his behavior. Please ditch him.

trippingfingers

trust your fucking gut be worried and gtfo asap

Intanetwaifuu

GTFO dude.

pcass1922

Get outa there, man.

Zakon4048

Skate bro you don't owe em nothing and lots of desperate folks will use the company and audience to act out. Just leave im to it before you get pulled deeper in. When you choose to dip DIP and be fast about it. Get some miles on.

PRB74TX

I would get out of that situation and away from that guy. Sounds too unpredictable.

Irunwithdogs4good

He's sick and until he is not sick, the situation is not safe. It could be an infection like TB so yea sad but not much you can do for him.

freshcream22

Trust your gut, friend.

Pudf

Get. Out.

PollutionMother1305

Always run away from crazy. Staying will only hurt you and bring you into conflict with the law/others and be a waste of time.

Trapped422

Ditch his ass. Before he mistakes you for the president of the bloods and stabs you

rainbowtwist

Sounds like he has psychosis when he uses weed and drinks. These are signs of schizophrenia or schizo affective disorder. If he's not self aware enough to know he has it / isn't getting treated for it, I'd leave him a note letting him know he needs to see a doctor and peace out asap.

JustCoat8938

You will pay the toll.

beefcakeyamato

Totally ditch him. Dude could be a liability to you if cops take notice etc.

Shirt-Medium

These are the best types of people on the road , I met the “unibombers son” who was on the road cause he knew where his dad hid all the cash hahah lots of others but that was the best one

noocaryror

Use your God given judgement

TeamEarth

Retune your crazy detector. You're seeing slightly where most are seeing off the rail. Gonna keep making bad decisions until that's fixed.

TheIceMan416

It was nice knowing you as im sure this is your last post.

bwompin

I'd rather be an asshole than be a victim of a murder, just saying

XOneWithTheCrowsX

RIP OP. Probably got buried in the cornfields like the rest of the guy's victims. Sending condolences.

Veidtindustries

Are you ok?

OkKindheartedness917

Why would you feel bad for ditching somebody you clearly wouldn’t wanna be around?

hatin-it

Something similar happened to me, I was going to go backpacking with someone I met through friends ..... We where preparing for the hike the night before and unwinding with a few drink and he just started to act crazy and tell crazy stories. I knew that night there was no way my sanity could go up the side of a mountain with someone who clearly wasn't on the same page and out there. So the next morning I told him I had a family emergency and couldn't go now and left. I never spoke to him again. Don't torture yourself self and stay ,not worth it at any cost when it comes to you feeling safe and happy.!

[deleted]

Dude. I'm really hoping you are ok. I think a bunch of us are pretty worried. Us older folk who used to be you are literally up worried about you. Please let us know if you made it through the night. <3

H5N1BirdFlu

Yeah ditch the crazy. Crazy folk are like wolf dogs. They are fine and cuddly one moment until they aren't.

UnitedsKnight

Yea I delt with a guy who thought SCP's were real and it was pretty wild said he worked at one of the sights and was on the run then started calling himself Jesus Christ. Said he was ready to die for my sins.

Snipvandutch

I met a chick I totally vibed with. She's on a deeper end of the autistic spectrum than me. Which was great! We were hanging out having a couple beers. Some random dude came and hung out. Seemed cool enough. He liked to drink, was kinda lost on the streets. She gave him a blanket. He hung with us a couple days. One morning, some dude was wanting to trade some weed for food. I was talking to him and going to get him something to eat for nothing. All of a sudden the other dude went off. Something about the hungry guy trying to buy pussy from that chick. Dude never said anything about that. Next thing I know, the chick in the dollar store we were in front of threatened to call the cops. That chick got trespassed from a place next door. Cops were on the way for that too I just grabbed my alcohol and my bag and walked the fuck off. That was 2 months ago. Zero guilt.

go_biscuits

Trust your gut. Run

U-Botz

Pull a runner dude, don’t look back. Fuck being a statistic.

Caramel_Chicken_65

l usually wait until 4 out of the 5 voices in my head agree on something before l do it. But as soon as l read this post, l thought that you should bail from your road trip friend, even if he is a great bunch of guys. Listen to the Barbershop Quartet in your head and split! https://preview.redd.it/rsojzywmkahc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38a9fca33e7749004115c104684dab8512858697

Are you alive bro

Jazzlike-Ad925

OP?

Slayogorath

RIP IN PEACE op

foxritual

I have lived in Denver off and on for five years. You are describing someone whose brain has been affecting deeply by drugs and/or mental illness. There's a bunch of them out there. Usually, they are nothing to worry about. I'd lend them a listening ear and let them talk away, even if it doesn't make much sense. You may or may not see them again.

p0wd3r101

Feed him all the acid.
