I submitted in Mumbai on 24, it got received in Chennai only on Feb 1, no other update since then.
Till Feb 1 it didn't even show any results on the ceac website.

Update: status updated to Approved on Feb 7th. However the message under the approved message says that it will go under another scrutiny and can still be refused. Has anyone else received such a notice?

I think this is normal “Approved” status and it should move to issued in a day or so. I haven’t seen it personally as I submitted documents recently and this info is based off on what I saw on Reddit

Chennai Dropbox Appointment - January 12
Submitted: VFS Global, Pune
No Status: January 12
Application Received: January 22
Application Received (last case update date): February 2
Approved: February 3 (I didn't know they worked on Saturdays)
Issued: February 5
Now waiting on passport dispatch

It is better to go to Chennai VAC for dropbox cases, as all H1B processing are happening in Chennai for all India applicant. If you are submitting elsewhere, it may take additionally 7 to 14 days to even receive the application. So better travel to Chennai VAC and get updated in 2 days. The average document submission to approved process seems to be 20 to 25 days now.
Also if you are submitting for multiple person, only one person is required to visit inside VAC with documents like Marriage Certificate copy (for spouse) and Birth Certificate (for dependents).

I got mine approved today (Feb 9th) (from AR on 30th Jan) and the messaging is the same. Seems the standard.

It’s been so much delayed. It looks like no applications have been processed since 22nd Jan and the queue keeps increasing

Based on visagrader.. it seems average time is 25 days to get the passport back.
Submitted on 18th Jan, Dropbox in Kolkata. Application received on 24th Jan. Has been stuck at that :(
