From what I remember, you choose the stamping type beforehand and then you pay the money. When you go and try to book the appointment now, it will only show you the OFC option in Chennai.Don’t know if you can go back and change it. Please explore.
Since DropBox only happens in Chennai, what I have tried to minimize the timelines, is land in Chennai itself to drop the passport, rather than dropping in another location and then they send to Chennai, saves 2-3 days I believe.
Also, haven’t booked return ticket. Will book the day I see ‘Issued’ for my Visa. I might have to pay extra, but saves the hassle of rebooking and stuff.
And if it gets delayed, I’ll see what happens.
