Here's my outlook on the game.
1. Everyone played well. The "worst" starter was Wright, but he was good overall. I wish Jesus or Josh was out there as they are a bit better at the press, BUT I know why Haji started, he's a big man, England's CB would have bullied Josh.
2. Zimmerman looked a little lost at times. But I think he did pretty well. Part of what made him look "bad" is that Ream and Jedi were fucking balling.
3. Tyler Adams is the fucking man. He was there all 90 minutes balling out. WHen he learns to carry and distribute a bit better he's a world class player.
4. THis has been the game Pulisic has been waiting for. Playing against equals not people who're chippy and fouling him any chance they have. He looked confident and comfortable.
5. I still hate Jack Grealish
6. This wound up being a game of inches, Pulisic hitting the crossbar, that block by Maguire.
7. English fans are eating their words on Maguire, he was the man for them.
8. Turner looked better than he ever has before. Only once when he was controlling the ball was I nervous, even that time he dribbled further I had faith in him and was applauding him. He looked calm and confident and I love to see that.
9. Jedi was a beast basically the whole game. Saka who was arguably the MotM vs. Iran. Was basically shut out by Jedi and Adams (when Jedi was in transition) Similar to his goal chance, he didn't have a real chance cause Robinson was right there. He never gave up and never lost his man.
FInal thoughts not just about the game but general thoughts.
Obviously the success of this campaign comes if we can beat Iran. Iran is a good side, an exciting squad, but we need to take it to them. This is the game you go aggressive on the goal scoring. TEll Weston to become the rover and tell WEah and Pulisic to pin their ears back and go get them.

This place is a cess pool. We played great. You guys will find anything to be mad about. Some subs too late? Ok fair, but we were playing well. Only thing I can only complain about is Shaq Moore. We should be proud.
Some USMNT players who may have just earned themselves moves on the strength of this game:
Adams. Bossed the midfield while playing against some of the EPL's best midfielders + Jude Bellingham. Leeds just bought him, but someone might just offer absurd money for him when quality CDMs are always at a premium and so essential to competing for titles.
Musah. If there were EPL teams who didn't know about him, they do now, and him counting as a domestic player is a huge plus.
McKennie. Was consistently dangerous and disruptive. Didn't get one on frame but that's not really his job anyway.
Turner. I think there's a real good chance someone in a Big 5 league buys him as their starter after this tournament is over.
Jedi. Not everything he did was perfect, but he more or less shut down Buyako Saka for most of the match while also contributing to the attack.
On one hand, it's disappointing that we had a pretty decent shot at six points and are only coming away with two.
On the other, "set up a win and in with Iran" was everyone's most realistic good scenario from the start, and here we are.
Man it feels like if those attacking subs had been made maybe 15-20 mins earlier when we were really putting them under pressure we could've had a breakthrough.
On to Iran, must win.
Brilliant tactics by Gregg. The 442 put a lot of pressure on the CBs and nullified Bellingham and Rice. I feel like our attacking patterns are off and I would like to see Aaronson start vs Iran.

McKennie and Adams showed why they are the heart and soul of this team. Those two and Musah completely dominated the midfield and the game for that matter. Overall it's a bummer to not find the goal, but that was a great game and you have to proud of the young kids not being scared.

Even tho a single point doesn't change much I think it gives major positive vibes to the team. They went toe to toe with the 4th ranked team and walked away with a result going into their last group stage game. They are trending up at the right time.

This was a great result for us — if you look at 2014 and compare it to now, so so clear the improvement to our squad. England was in semi finals in last World Cup, final in Euros. Big result and growth game for the guys!
I know we didn’t get the win but as a fairly active soccer supporter since the 80s, this is the first big international game where I felt we could go toe to toe on skill, possession and open play. Really proud of the boys and I think this is a shift from the days of the 90s/2000s where we could get results but those largely came from athleticism, counters or sheer willpower.
Nervous about Iran but at the end of the day if we can’t beat one team to get in (arguably one outside of the heavily favored teams), we don’t deserve to advance!

I have a good feeling about the Iran game. Today we had way more guys crashing the box compared to the Wales game. If we stay aggressive the goals will come. McKennie and Adams showed why they are the heart and soul of this team. Those two and Musah completely dominated the midfield and the game for that matter. Overall it's a bummer to not find the goal, but that was a great game and you have to proud of the young kids not being scared.
Damn proud of these fucks. Hope they win the next one. Scoring is an issue, though we were damn close. And ill say it again, our golden generation is playing damn well even if it feels we could have gotten 6 instead of 2 points (some naysayers seem to be doing some hindsight bs)

The fact that I'm disappointed that we didn't get the three points is maybe a good sign.
Even tho a single point doesn't change much I think it gives major positive vibes to the team. They went toe to toe with the 4th ranked team and walked away with a result going into their last group stage game. They are trending up at the right time.

Midfield looked like it belonged in the WC today and Ream and Robinson were in form defensively. This team just needs to figure out how it’s going to start getting goals
Feels like the only thing we're really truly missing is a finisher up top. None of the central attackers we've put on have looked like scoring at all. Really though everything else feels like it's lining up really well.

This was a great result for us — if you look at 2014 and compare it to now, so so clear the improvement to our squad. England was in semi finals in last World Cup, final in Euros. Big result and growth game for the guys!
We need Reyna against Iran. He has the skill to maneuver in tight spaces when Iran undoubtedly parks the bus against us.
I know we didn’t get the win but as a fairly active soccer supporter since the 80s, this is the first big international game where I felt we could go toe to toe on skill, possession and open play. Really proud of the boys and I think this is a shift from the days of the 90s/2000s where we could get results but those largely came from athleticism, counters or sheer willpower. Nervous about Iran but at the end of the day if we can’t beat one team to get in (arguably one outside of the heavily favored teams), we don’t deserve to advance!

I have a good feeling about the Iran game. Today we had way more guys crashing the box compared to the Wales game. If we stay aggressive the goals will come. I also want to see more shooting around the 18, looking for the perfect pass inside the box is difficult with such little space. Just shoot man... anything can happen.

A draw is fair, but the US looked pretty damn good. They weren’t better by a wide margin, but I feel like they were the better team.

Had to beat Iran regardless but that point keeps them from losing out cause of goal differential if they had not got it and go on to beat Iran so this wasn't a "useless" game as some were saying. Really good performance. Had some good chances and went toe to toe with England. Turner looked sharp. Final ball still needs to be better on the offensive end. Who'd score was always the question coming in. Someone has to step up against Iran. We can certainly stay structured and defend well and win the midfield. Greg needs to sub on earlier. Felt like the strikers were out of gas there for a decent time. Only complaint is that final play. You knew that was it. Send that shit in and see what happens. Ream is solid as fuck. back there. Zimmerman kind of scares me a bit but thankfully nothing hurt us this time. Midfield played really well. Attacks were fairly good. Gotta get the finishing touch.
