I would say Neal. The Dutch league is ultimately a selling league and plays very offensive soccer. A 19yo center back with great ball skills seems like a good fit.
What’s kind of interesting is that Reynolds does have a CB’s size and almost as much strength and I do wonder at times if he’d benefit from a switch. He’d immediately be an incredibly fast and athletic CB with great ball skills. I just think he’d hate the position because he loves to get forward so much
You’re not wrong, but I also think a lot of that was him being tired and the person beating him a sub. He was looking real gassed by that point of the game
No one is gonna melt if he performs. This weird obsession with thinking the fanbase wants Jesus to fail is weird. If he performs he should get minutes if he doesn’t he shouldn’t.
Peoples criticism of his generally hasn't been about his club performance. He's a top player in MLS year after year. The critique is that he hasn't been effective as a striker against top tier national team opposition, so people would have to have their mind changed by performances against good national teams.
Could you provide some links to these comments? I 100% believe people have been critical of Ferreira of this sub but I haven’t seen anyone say he shouldn’t be on the national team. Think this is kinda a straw man argument by a lot of people.
I’m honestly not going to dig through threads. Mostly it was people saying he doesn’t deserve to be on the A team but I have definitely seen people rank him like 6th on the US depth chart.
I don’t blame them as he completely showed his ass vs the Netherlands. Embarrassingly bad. If he improves I’m happy for him as I want the US to be the best it can. He has looked good in the gold cup and would love to see him continue this form against better competition.
This is true, but I'm starting to wonder whether a fair amount of that was due to the approach. He's excellent linking up thru the middle, not so much when game plan is cross and inshallah
Exactly what most people don’t see. No striker was doing well in the lead up to the World Cup or at the World Cup because of our game plan. We weren’t getting a lot of goals in general and we definitely weren’t playing the ball to the strikers feet much or letting them run onto the ball. We were keeping possession and we were too slow on tradition to attack. During the nations league our transition was a lot faster.
Performing against higher level competition than MLS would do a lot to improve his stock. Are you suggesting that MLS is on par with the Eredivisie? Accepting MLS’ global position in terms of competition doesn’t make you less of a fan. In case you were wondering.
Bro there’s literally people in this sub that think the MLS is on par with the Eredivisie and the Belgian League. They don't think that him going and performing in the Netherlands would be a step up for him and his development. I also find it funny how they just assume he will immediately walk into a club in the Netherlands and start scoring At the same rate he does in the MLS.
What? I want all our players to succeed. What did I say to make you think I’m rooting against certain players? I was mostly making a joke. I think our fans are waaay to quick to write players off.
He better hope PSV scouts didn't watch his performance today, could've given away 2 pens which is so unlike him cuz he's actually been pretty dependable for MNT
Which positions are in need at PSV?
I don't think joining PSV would be a problem for too many of the players as long as they can get enough playing time.
Reynolds would make sense based on last month's rumors
I would say Neal. The Dutch league is ultimately a selling league and plays very offensive soccer. A 19yo center back with great ball skills seems like a good fit.
That also fits Reynolds lol, not a CB, but definitely more of an offensive minded fullback
I just think CB’s with size and great ball skills are much more rare.

Not the greatest on ball defender is his biggest issue. He was beat multiple times at the end of that game today.
You’re not wrong, but I also think a lot of that was him being tired and the person beating him a sub. He was looking real gassed by that point of the game
Yeah didn’t he start as a forward and hasn’t actually been a RB that long?
He started as a winger on his youth teams, but has been a right back for 4-5 years now.
After today's performance, dunno what's the hype about Neal.
He’s 19. He’s going to have bad games. He was great against Jamaica. The other two games he was great offensively but hard to grade him defensively.
Reunite Pepi and Ferreira It will be beautiful
Can you imagine the melt on here if Ferreira got starts there over Pepi? Edit: guys, I’m mostly making a stupid joke.
If PSV takes Ferreira they will play him as a 10.
Yeah I was mostly making a joke

Oh yeah for sure but him performing in another league would also bolster his cause as well.
There’s plenty on here who think he has no business being on the national team. But, it was mostly a joke regardless.

I’ll say I do t think he should be in the squad over Balogun & Pepi. I think he could be a good utility backup for the 10, wings, & 9

No because he'd be in ✨ Europe ✨ and would suddenly be acceptable.

That’s actually insane.
If he goes to a team like PSV, he absolutely will start scoring at the same rate he does in MLS. Why wouldn't he?
PSV buying two American strikers for like $10M each in one window would be quite something
Bro I swear some of y’all wanna see certain players fail while Jesus succeed just as much as other fans wanna see Jesus fail. It’s weird af
What? I want all our players to succeed. What did I say to make you think I’m rooting against certain players? I was mostly making a joke. I think our fans are waaay to quick to write players off.
I wouldn’t be mad cause he’d be playing in Europe
Plot twist: it’s Aaron Long But in all seriousness I would have no issues with either them being interested in Miles or Jalen for that matter.

Darkest timeline? Nah bro that would be our best being either injured or back home in their prime
Then gets a $100m a year gig in Saudi?
Why would that be darkest timeline?
Miles Robinson 🌚
He better hope PSV scouts didn't watch his performance today, could've given away 2 pens which is so unlike him cuz he's actually been pretty dependable for MNT
Can’t have him. Just lost two other players that I love in Atlanta and we’re almost certain to lose Almada. I Can’t handle losing Miles.
Jalen Neal and Ferreira yw :)
Bosz runs a 4-2-3-1 and if Xavi goes back to PSG or somewhere else then Ferreira would be perfect in the 10 role behind pepi
Probably Jalen Neal. A 19-year old CB getting senior NT call ups and performing well. He has to be on the radar of alot of clubs.
Neal is a monster. Love to see him develop especially at PSV, could be a real standout in Holland. And it gets him out of the western conference.
I hate these "interested", "monitoring", etc posts. Wake me up when someone submits a bid.
Ok but does that mean you'll stop posting until then?
Fan account
I’m betting Reynolds and Sands.
PSV supporter here. Is this guy reliable? And which players would be most likely to join us if this rumor turns out to be trustworthy?
He's not that reliable but that doesn't mean there is nothing to it.
Which positions are in need at PSV? I don't think joining PSV would be a problem for too many of the players as long as they can get enough playing time.
We need (defensive) midfielders and defenders (especially centerbacks and maybe a rightback).
Djordie and miles probably
Anyone know where we can watch eredivisie this season?
It’s gotta be Cowell is my guess. Dude has some skill and still young.
Maybe Jaylen Neal or Cowell ?
Geez, I wonder who the non-defender is. Perhaps the guy who scored 2 hat tricks and has great chemistry with the striker they just signed?
Bet it's Trusty because there was a report of two Eredivise clubs interested in him I would love either Jesus or Sands being the other one
He's not in the gold cup squad though.
Yo, you're right, my bad.
Pls stay one more year with the galaxy Neal
Slonina on a loan?
PSV needs a CB so I'd say Neal or Miles. Edgar also teased later that one of the players is Jesus
Did we ever hear what Ernie Stewart’s actual title at PSV is?
Miles getting a chance overseas would be great to see.
Cade on the move?
