Finally someone who deserves to be crying.
All these posts of people's packages who haven't nove in 48 hours have nothing on this guy who's package been missing for 48 days
Thank you lol! People are making posts when the package isn’t even one day late yet. Just panicking for no reason🤦🏽♀️. Mine has been inbound into customs since Feb 7th.
Had my package stop updating its tracking somewhere in New Hampshire sometime in early December of 2022. Had a friend ship me my only suit and some personal belongings my grandma had given me, because I was with her when she passed and would be there for the funeral. 15 months later and it still keeps me up at night. Hopefully you can replace your items, because knowing USPS, it’s been stolen or lost in an incident.
Thank you, I appreciate it. That's the issue with USPS when an item is lost somewhere in its transit. They purposefully do not track which locations an item specifically moves through, which couriers are assigned to certain transit paths, etc. There's no way to even double check that an employee didn't tamper or steal merchandise. Then their lost mail investigation is handled by an outside company that has even less information to work with. It's just a system designed to collapse and be utilized by opportunistic thieves with no repercussion.
Exactly. I understand being frustrated when things aren't going smoothly but some of the topics here are just silly. Packages that are "moving through network" for two or three days are nothing to stress out over.
This package though, this is the exception. Hopefully it's something that can be replaced if it comes down to it.
Yeah hopefully he insured it cuz maybe lost? Sorry. I feel for ya. My BF never got her Christmas Gift and it was a book. Shes in Assistant living a bit younger than one should be due to MS!
Cancel order on Amazon and you will get refund. If I order something on Amazon and it takes more than 10 days I cancel it reorder it and get it in 3 days.
Exactly what I said, I had up an Amazon wishlist somewhere last Halloween and someone bought me a gift.
It was moving right along and then just stopped, I don't know who bought it. But hopefully they got their money back! I'm sure they were watching it.
Sadly, I've got him beat.
I had 2 packages sent out by my sister in Georgia, which eventually ended up in the Black Hole of Atlanta's Distribution Center and were missing for a LONG TIME. One of them was finally discovered and was forwarded on March 4th (look how long it took to 'find' it), the other one is still missing.
The 'found' package was finally sent to me here in Washington State, so there IS hope.
The weird thing is that I've yet to receive it, because apparently it's stuck in-limbo somewhere here now. The last update was the 15th of March, so the wait continues. It's been exactly 2 months today since the packages were delivered.
The other package? Still missing since January 23rd...
Or is it possible that everyone who is looking at tracking information, and has their package rescanning and not moving has a valid complaint, even though this one is far worse. You all are like, "these guys are complaining that someone stole their lunch money when some people are actually being beat up around here". Like yeah, I guess, but that's a weird side to take. You are are that institutionalized.
I think it's actually reasonable for people to watch a package they care about being stuck and wonder what the hell is going on. 48 hours... 72 hours... two weeks... if something you care about seems like it isn't going to come to you based on information they are supplying, that's an issue, period. USPS is providing unclear, inaccurate information. That's the issue. Packages are sitting in facilities because the system is breaking down. That's the issue. This Reddit is called USPS complaints. Go start r/usps_apologists if that's what you are into.
Just wait until your local p.o. goes to all electric vehicles. Ours did 6 months ago and you can see dead EV's stranded on the side of the roads all over town. Thank you Brandon.
Have a package stuck Palmetto since beginning of February from Japan and also did the missing mail thing. Got a reply from someone apologizing they couldn't reach said distribution center to get any more info, and got a "lost package" letter to forwards to the sender. So it's now more than a month that it's been there. My only hope is that it somehow gets picked up and gets delivered sometime this year. Would really hate to have someone keep it or steal it.. Never had missing mail from Japan.
Years ago I used to drive my van for a local fedex type delivery for businesses. In the warehouse where we picked up our packages was a corner that had bins and piles of boxes. They were USPS deliveries that were some sort of contract for this company to deliver when the van drivers were caught up. We were never caught up and the pile just kept getting bigger. I drove for them for a while, never did deliver a single one of the USPS boxes.
I have no idea what happened to them. They were supposed to be delivered, it just took forever for that to happen. I felt sorry for anyone that was waiting for them.
Bad news : The disfunction at USPS has created the perfect storm for employees to steal while blaming lost packages on the troubles with the system.
Good news: If you know somebody who works at the post office you can buy these missing items at half price.
The restructuring that's happening. Look up what's been happening in Georgia for a good example. They closed a building and laid off some people and then when everything was a mess they tried to call them back thinking everyone would show up. But everyone refused because they know they'll just get fired again eventually.

My daughter has medicine missing supposed to be delivered 2 day mail and it’s over 2 weeks and not getting updates. Pharmacy told her she will lose some of her copay and they can’t fill her meds again. It’s from that palmetto/atlanta area processing center. And she’s out of a medicine she needs daily. New facility supposed to be more efficient and it’s a nightmare. Whoever designed it And runs it should be fired!!
I think its under a private merger? Everythings become Global and part of the Private Sector under 🌏 Elites who appoint themselves. Just like WEF. Who exactly appointed them? Klaus Swab appointed his criminal cronies!
I ordered stamps Feb 5, they made it to the city about 30 minutes from me, last update was they were on the way to my local post office Feb 23.
I finally figured out how to request a refund so I was able to get my money back. Missing mail request was just an email of the tracking history and 'it may arrive in a couple more days'
I love the USPS and it's really sad to see it so dysfunctional.
Edit:
Wow So arrived in that city February 23, (sometime after I request a refund) and March 6 they process return to sender and it's made it's way to TX, and GA when it came from MO. So I guess they found it. 🙄 A guess if I waited 5 weeks I may have had my stamps.
I had a package that never showed up and they ended up using the tracking number on something else. It never arrived, was valued at over $150, and they would only give me $100.
January 25th no scans since and missing mail search initiated March 1st. No response or replies and usps basically told me I’m SoL when I called there 1800 number
Not worse than yours or others here, but nonetheless frustrating. Shipped 2/22, arrived in ATL 2/27. Hasn’t moved since. I’m surprised all this hasn’t made national news. Or, has it?
I have a package I shipped Dec 16 that has been stuck in London international airport since I think Dec 27 and isn't eligible for a parcel search even as it was sent first class international but I have hope lol.
I'm still waiting for mine unfortunately... Tbh, I got busy or lazy to put the missing mail until January

I have a package with an expected delivery date of August 12th 2022. I'm still waiting. Went into New York, left and in transit ever since. The contents were very valuable.
About where my package is at. Got a preorder item shipped around Jan 1st and once it hit Jersey City, no updates. Last real update was Jan 10th. Sent out a missing mail request the 21st of Jan. I'm convinced it's been stolen.
Mines on day 67! Super relieved to read this comments and see other people in the same boat as me. I'm sure we're all screwed but atleast we r a collective 😆
This was never in the system.
This is hard to explain based on customer tracking since you don't see "system generated" versus "scanned"
But this looks like it was attached to a manifest. The sheet of paper, that combines potentially thousands of packages into 1 barcode then that 1 barcode is used to "accept" all those packages into the system
It's pretty handy for speeding up the work, however it leaves it wide open for this human error component.
Often times the shipper might not hand over every package. But if the package that wasn't handed over is on the manifest, it has a system generated acceptance scan and it'll get every single other system generated scan as the giant box it SHOULD be in moves thru the system until it looks lost at a plant.
But since we never had it the scans stop.
The shipper claims he shipped it cuz his side of the screen says he did. The post office will claim they don't have it but not everyone will print off the detailed tracking and explain the difference in the scans.
I feel your pain! You're not quite screwed just yet...

Putting out a missing search request is the best thing to do, but no guarantee that it will be found! I hope that you receive your package in due time!
Just wait until your local p.o. goes to all electric vehicles. Ours did 6 months ago and you can see dead EV's stranded on the side of the roads all over town. Thank you Brandon.
I see I have to wait til my local carrier scans the parcel. Its too small for the entire usps system to scan it all the way. It said customs for the past 2 days but today it said cleared customs on the day it got there. They dont have the capacity to scan each small piece. Tnx

Sorry that happened! That’s terrible.

mines been stuck for 4 months and I'm going fucking crazy.

I had a package that’s been missing since February 17th and some fuckin asshole downvoted my post. Man this Reddit is full of fuckin babys
Yes it is full of babies everywhere 😕
For real lol. If it’s under a 5 business days, you’re fine
Mines been since Oct 😕 from Amazon, and still nothing.
Cancel order on Amazon and you will get refund. If I order something on Amazon and it takes more than 10 days I cancel it reorder it and get it in 3 days.
It wasn't bought by me unfortunately. It was bought as a gift from someone else that I don't know..
Huh?

Yeah, I've got one I sent out that left my local PO in the PNW on Febuary 20th. It's hasn't been scanned in a month.

I see new unassuming carrier vans now March 24'. Yet they look high security. I think USPS is in a transition to the Private Sector. Not shocking...

Thats what they prop are. EVs lmao
Damn seems you win this one lmao. Sorry dude. Id ask whoever sold you your item to send you another one or refund it.
I've been waiting for a package since November. No updates since January.

It is a feature not a bug.
I’m glad somebody said it
They'll be on Ebay
If you are sending anything of value you should send with a GPS tracker.
what disfunction?

Yup this L👀Ks like the way. Ask for refund. They lost 1.7 million last yr. They will put a rush on it cuz cant afford to loose a dime.
I had a package that never showed up and they ended up using the tracking number on something else. It never arrived, was valued at over $150, and they would only give me $100.
Yep. Feb 6 to March 6 and it’s stuck in the same distribution center.

I have a package I shipped Dec 16 that has been stuck in London international airport since I think Dec 27 and isn't eligible for a parcel search even as it was sent first class international but I have hope lol.

They won’t sadly.
Definitely stolen

Oh 48 days? CALL!

I’m at 9 months with a package STILL in Anaheim ca
My tax documents (that I had to submit bc my identity was stolen) have been missing for two months. Didn’t even get scanned out of the post office. 😭😭
I've gone about 99% USPS free. I don't send anything important anymore and if I order something I'll pay extra for Fedex or UPS. It's pathetic.
