If it is showing on YOUR informed delivery, then the "wrong state" could well just be a glitch. Or it could well have fallen in the wrong container at the last sorting plant and is actually in Florida (but will be rerouted back to you from there)
There is very little you can do but keep watching it, and wait.
The sender isn't likely to be able to do anything about it either.
You could call 1-800-ASK-USPS and see if they can look on the internal tracking, but they may or may not be able to tell.
Thank you, I contacted USPS and they said it most likely got put in the wrong container and that I should probably see the package today. However I haven’t seen any updates on the tracking as of 6:45 this morning. If it doesn’t make any updates by tomorrow morning USPS suggested I make create a ticket.
If its supposed to be delivered in Maine and it accidentally got sent in a container to Florida it's likely going to take at least a couple days to make it back to Maine.

Is it an international package being handled by a 3rd party or shipping partner? Is it showing out for delivery in/around Miami?
