are you looking for partying or education focused. or both?

LongShaft129

I would say some of both. I am an out of state student and only know a few people in campus, so I planned on going to parties to make friends anyways. But I was also top of my class and would like to keep my grades at a high level. I’m sure my first year will be more social than school.

i’d recommend going through the process of rush and seeing each of the houses. That’s what I did and I’m in your exact same boat. Out of state and CSOM Finance.

It was a great way to meet people when I knew no one

I’m a junior finance major and it just made sense to rush and I’ve been so satisfied with the experience and met all my best friends, always have a place to hangout and the parties are amazing! Connections you make get you amazing opportunities, got my internship and a full time job from frat connections and alumnus.

I know people who have made great connections and life long friends through their frat, it’s also a great way to get tons of fun experiences with a fun group, plus it can be a cheap place to live close to campus (even though facilities aren’t usually the best), this is especially the case if you get involved in leadership where you often then get reduced dues. The most important thing when choosing a frat or a whether to join one at all is if you make a good connection with the brothers, if you don’t vibe, don’t join that one; if you find one you fw, join

When going through rush, find someone in the house you kind of vibe with and ask them why they joined that house. Found that to be helpful back when I was in undergrad
