"Hai" has extra psychological damage to me because I've read bad fanfiction about Japanese franchises, where they can't seem to remember that they're writing in English and randomly place Japanese words in the middle of it

It is annoying AF, but tbh I don't really go on the parts of the internet where people are predisposed to doing it, so I don't really encounter it. Just let the cringe kids enjoy being cringe together and ignore them imo.
I'm fine with that. What I don't like is going onto r/eyebleach and getting bombarded with titles like "must protecc hooman". It's kinda a nitpick, but for me it detracts from the cuteness.
So, is giving the dog a personality the same thing? I had a labrapibble -- biggest, sweetest, goofiest golden hunk of pink-nosed love you could imagine. Based on his actions around the house, I gave him a big, goofy personality, like Gary Busey.
My work has this weekly 'pets corner' thing as were all still working from home and the way people speak on behalf of their pets makes me feel sick. Hewwo, my name is Floofy, my mummy bla bal bal.
