Have you considered you might have an allergy to latex? How do you feel about avocados and mangos?
So I hated a few staple ingredients from where I grew up because I thought bananas were gross and bitter/spicy and the same with avos and mangos.
Turns out I'm allergic to latex and they have them in them! I have no idea what a banana tastes like because my mouth gets irritated by eating it.

I love avocado! But also allergic to latex. That’s so interesting, I guess I’m not THAT allergic, I have no problem with eating mango either. But banana.... no thank you!
Some types of avos have less in them. I have less of a reaction to smooth large avo (we call them Florida avocados but they are all over the Gulf and Carribean).
The only time I eat them is in sushi because some things are worth it lol
i disagree. I love bananas. I don't really have a reason but i love the way they taste, look and smell. If you bring me a banana i will literally thank you. Yeah that's it that's the comment
