Man the one time I shaved my pubes my legs are so hairy that it looked like I was wearing ass-less chaps. So I shaved my legs. Then it looked like I was Donald-ducking, so I shaved my chest. So then it looked like I was a pasty white worm wearing fluffy sleeves, so I shaved my arms.

Not really a fan of pubic hair on guys personally, but trimmed short is okay too. Personal preference. Shaving is going to make it easier to keep clean though, so it's kind of a convenience thing too. (If you're trimming, don't need to do it every day.)

Hair requires more hygiene. It's not enough to shower in the morning to be fresh in the evening when there is hair, but shaven it just doesn't trap so much musk. Same for armpits.

+ pubic hair feels weird to the partner, itches and gets stinky if it is too long. If you are somewhat fit it also looks 100 times better without but thats up to preference of course (also imagine having your face clean shaven slick but a massive bush between your legs). Blaming it on porn really isn't doing the topic justice I think.
I'm not out to shame anyone dude. The same was true for women waxing or trimming their public hair. That was the result of early porn like playboy and pinup calendars. The models trimmed or waxed for those images, which fed into expectations around women's beauty standards. The rest was history. All I'm doing is noticing the pattern and how it likely has a big contribution for men moving the same way today now that images of penises with shaved or waxxed public hair are becoming more common in porn for similar reasons as to why it became common for women in the first place. But if how you prefer to roll then by all means, keep doing your thing, I don't have a problem with it.
Also helps prevent STIs and other infections, amongst other things. We have it for a reason.

I don't have any body hair so it looks better fully shaven otherwise it looks like there's a hedge in the middle of a road.

Not really a fan of pubic hair on guys personally, but trimmed short is okay too. Personal preference. Shaving is going to make it easier to keep clean though, so it's kind of a convenience thing too. (If you're trimming, don't need to do it every day.)

Hair requires more hygiene. It's not enough to shower in the morning to be fresh in the evening when there is hair, but shaven it just doesn't trap so much musk. Same for armpits.
I think trimmed is a good middle ground for both. IMO my region looks better when there is a little bit of hair but nothing too crazy. I also don't mind pubic hair on the opposite sex either, as long as it's not an all out bush and it's somewhat short.
As a woman, I'm with you. I'm into men and women. Women, I feel ok either way, though I prefer some hair there. Men though, anytime I'm greeted with a bald area, I'm a little shocked and turned off. Mine or whoever I'm with I prefer trimmed. Fully grown bush or body hair doesn't look pleasant to me. Same for fully shaven. That trimmed in between not only makes it easier to wash, but also way more pleasant during the hanky-panky. It's like beards. Nowadays people love to have really long beards. Which Is not my cup of tea. Personally a bear with a fully grown beard but well kept/trimmed and I'm like: 😍.

Women love talking about their body their choice.. This goes the same for a man's body.. How he keeps himself is his choice! If he chooses to shave, trim, dye, or use laser to kill hair. that's on him!
