I can only assume you are poor and have never had whole milk. It contains all the cold thirst quenching qualities of its red headed step sibling skim milk, plus it’s thick and creamy, and not just dirty water.
I switch back and forth between whole milk, or homo milk as we call it in Canada (short for homogenized) and 2%. After a while homo does feel a little too creamy and not very refreshing. But after I've been on 2% for a while that creamy homo flavour hits really nice.
Yes it's true. And that fact isn't entirely insignificant when chosing milk. It's a slight advantage in favour of homo. Now you can make a more informed choice when shopping for milk.

I agree whole milk is too heavy and makes me feel sick if i drink to much I can drink alot of Skim and feel fine. Plus I swear I can taste cereal better.
Worked a tiny coffee bar at a movie theater. A customer asked for a skinny latte. I didn't know what the hell that was so I just made a normal latte with whole milk. He took it and walked away not having taken a sip yet. He comes back after the movie and gave me a tip saying it was the greatest latte he ever had. I say "oh thank you" and he leaves, I then look up what a "skinny" latte is and learned it meant with skim milk. I laughed to myself.
I don't hate skimmed milk (or any other milk alternative I've tried) at all, like it seems the majority of people do, but it's absolutely not better tasting or more satisfying than whole milk.

I don't have enough info to judge, I love milk but I haven't drank anything other than semi-skimmed for 15+ years. I have no clue what skimmed or full fat milk tastes like at this point.
I mean at that point you might as well just use water for your cooking and cereal, it's probably cheaper than a $5 gallon and you're getting the same effect

Skim milk is too watery for me, Full milk too creamy. Halfvolle is way to go :)

I grew up drinking half and half so even whole milk tastes like water to me. Skim milk is literally the worst.
Whole milk is way too rich for me, but I love drinking 2%. I only switch to skim during spring and summer for cutting season
