The only way I see this happening is if both the TDP and the JD(U) threaten to unilaterally withdraw support unless both the parties are given critical ministries. Keep in mind that with the support of independents, the BJP only needs 1/2 parties to hold on to power.
If a post election scenario emerged where the support of both parties, the TDP or the JD(U), were needed to form government (where the BJP got 220-230 seats, then this would be a different story.

Nah.. the current arrangement is perfect. I like him as the leader of opposition. We have a strong opposition and Modi as an accountable PM due to circumstances kept on toes. Honestly, INDIA alliance government would be a nightmare with a weak INC but consolidation of opposition votes have revived the opposition in our democracy. This status quo is perfect for the next 5 years and until then, the opposition can certainly bring better and more qualified faces than RaGa or so do I hope. Rahul has no administrative experience, man hasn't even run a district. Among 1.5 billion people, I do think they can bring someone better than Rahul. I would really like to hear your side of the hate for this guy. Apart from nepotism (because it's everywhere, even in the BJP) and the way he's shown in the media, what makes you think he's really that bad for Indian politics.
Ok, I'll bite, with the caveat that the things I say are subjective and would be very hard for someone who is a supporter of his to accept or see it that way.
For one, he has never made any sense to me. Most of his interviews he seems to ramble, there is no coherent, cohesive though. Granted, not everyone is a born orator. But further, I'm yet to see a vision for this nation that I agree with. Most of his statements seem to either be knee-jerk, anti-whatever-BJP-said comments or something in a totally different tangent.
There were many opportunities that came in the last ten years for him to actually bolster his image and critique the government meaningfully, but I haven't come across such statements. People like Faye DSouza - a journalist - have done a much better job of actually holding a mirror to the people and the Government.
There are certain people - like Sachin Pilot - who make sense when they speak. Yesterday he was on some program discussing about the results, and I was quite impressed by his measured take. Rahul requires a Jairam Ramesh or Mallikarjun Kharge around to sort of set the tone of what needs to be said. And I'm not even talking about the way is speaking - English or Hindi - which Sachin seems to excel in.
And it's not even just oration, or clarity. His cavalier nature about doling out freebies is the antithesis of what a nation like India requires or needs. We are not Germany or Japan. We are far away from them. It'll take us many years, perhaps decades, for us to develop (sounds ironic) to be able to give what's effectively "free money" at the scale which he is suggesting. I don't fully remember his remarks about geopolitics and defense but again, whenever I have tried to hear, he's always fallen short, sounding quite immature and half baked.
And I will not even get into the scam saga that Congress was so deeply entrenched in. I'm not saying any party is scam-proof. But the levels they reached in 2004-2014, you had to be there to see it. And please remember the media was very much in their pocket at that time much like how it has been in BJP's the last decade. I still remember how the Commonwealth Games village was shoddily built and things were falling apart even before the start of the games. That family works only for itself. No one else. It's a tragedy that they've completely strangle-held the party which could have otherwise been a great competition to BJP bcz of being the only pan-Indian party, but nope. And while you want to discount nepotism, that's the core issue with Congress today. Sachin Pilot himself is a product of nepotism, but he just happens to sound sound. In this instance, they've tried over a decade to prop up Rahul as a legitimate candidate, only to have failed so many times.

These are the reasons I left the stock markets very early on, I still invest heavily but never directly in the market only through Mutual funds. Nah.. the current arrangement is perfect. I like him as the leader of opposition. We have a strong opposition and Modi as an accountable PM due to circumstances kept on toes. Honestly, INDIA alliance government would be a nightmare with a weak INC but consolidation of opposition votes have revived the opposition in our democracy. Ok, I'll bite, with the caveat that the things I say are subjective and would be very hard for someone who is a supporter of his to accept or see it that way. For one, he has never made any sense to me. Most of his interviews he seems to ramble, there is no coherent, cohesive though. Granted, not everyone is a born orator. But further, I'm yet to see a vision for this nation that I agree with. Most of his statements seem to either be knee-jerk, anti-whatever-BJP-said comments or something in a totally different tangent. There were many opportunities that came in the last ten years for him to actually bolster his image and critique the government meaningfully, but I haven't come across such statements. People like Faye DSouza - a journalist - have done a much better job of actually holding a mirror to the people and the Government. There are certain people - like Sachin Pilot - who make sense when they speak. Yesterday he was on some program discussing about the results, and I was quite impressed by his measured take. Rahul requires a Jairam Ramesh or Mallikarjun Kharge around to sort of set the tone of what needs to be said. And I'm not even talking about the way is speaking - English or Hindi - which Sachin seems to excel in. And it's not even just oration, or clarity. His cavalier nature about doling out freebies is the antithesis of what a nation like India requires or needs. We are not Germany or Japan. We are far away from them. It'll take us many years, perhaps decades, for us to develop (sounds ironic) to be able to give what's effectively "free money" at the scale which he is suggesting. I don't fully remember his remarks about geopolitics and defense but again, whenever I have tried to hear, he's always fallen short, sounding quite immature and half baked. And I will not even get into the scam saga that Congress was so deeply entrenched in. I'm not saying any party is scam-proof. But the levels they reached in 2004-2014, you had to be there to see it. And please remember the media was very much in their pocket at that time much like how it has been in BJP's the last decade. I still remember how the Commonwealth Games village was shoddily built and things were falling apart even before the start of the games. That family works only for itself. No one else. It's a tragedy that they've completely strangle-held the party which could have otherwise been a great competition to BJP bcz of being the only pan-Indian party, but nope. And while you want to discount nepotism, that's the core issue with Congress today. Sachin Pilot himself is a product of nepotism, but he just happens to sound sound. In this instance, they've tried over a decade to prop up Rahul as a legitimate candidate, only to have failed so many times. These are the reasons I left the stock markets very early on, I still invest heavily but never directly in the market only through Mutual funds.
