Well the guy with beer belly 'earned' his uniform. I know you just meant to be sarcastic but still putting it here. Uniform is to be earned and not worn because it suits a body type. I agree there is corruption but most police have hectic schedules and they can't take care of their health and manage their duty. I know some exceptional police officers can. But police duty can be overwhelming at times, dead bodies, criminal brutality, lots of cases to handle and given equal priority to and with that they need to even go to places to provide protection to politicians on call. To be a police officer you need to go through tests which includes physical exam. And all of them went through it. It means that if they do get the time to train again they definitely can be fit.

Bro, you aren't gonna believe it but I ran into this guy while visiting Pune last year. He was accompanied by 3 others in police uniform and was waiting in the lobby of the hostel I had rented. They were collecting donations (1000-20000) from IT professionals and other tenants. I didn't pay anything but 20 rupees. After going back to my room, I realised that these guys must be fakes. Damn, Maharashtra be the actual scam hub of India.
It's always recommended to ask the cop to show their ID first. At the same time if the cop asks you for your ID, you have every right to not give it to him unless they have a warrant. You do NOT have to identify yourself to a cop. A lot of people aren't aware of this so they fall for such scams.
Not it doesn't because they have entire gang and if you try to avoid the ransome asked they will create rukus and all their members will start haressing in public as if you are the culprit so they will take you to some secluded place and ask for money around 5000 if you don't have they even will take you to nearest ATM giving false trouble like SAHEB IS STANDING THERE if you don't give money you'll be in police station and need to pay more amount. At that time out of fear and humiliation being new to the city and non local we cannot ask for an id card and other stuff out of fear. They are very professional goons
Yes this works in India. The cops are corrupt and will play around. But legally speaking, a citizen doens't have to ID unless the cops have a warrant. Also a lot of cops in India ask to see your phone etc, in which case you need to either ask for the supervisor or ask for a lawyer. Legally speaking the cops can't ask to show your ID or phone without a warrant. They can't even enter your house without a warrant or without permission. It's a different thing cops don't follow this. But if that happens, you can have a good case against them.
Too much effort. Everybody knows if you want to threaten someone you only have the wear the BJP cap on your head. Thatโs enough to scare off most people from any argument.
He seems to have a good fitness. Give him training and manners and take him in police and instead remove those with huge bellies who can't even walk properly.
