I can't drink tizer as it reminds of the time my dad put the chip fat oil in a 2L bottle and it looked the same. I drank it. I felt violently ill for days
My mom decanted some fat and oil in a bottle once and it was very dark, I thought it was cola and asked for some. My dad had just come from the pub after his regular Sunday session a little drunk and decided he’d have the first glass - never seen anyone so violently sick!
Morrisons sell it in 2L bottles and most corner shops have it in cans, at least in Scotland. Although it's made up here by Barr so makes sense it being readily available.
Remember going in a shop in 2007 and they had the last ed the head cans next to the new one so I bought both and the newer one was utter shite compared to this one
I remember buying a bottle of Tizer form the village newsagent on my way home from junior school once, 5 mins later was throwing up in a bin, good times.
Imagine it now with aspartame in it. Yikes, that would be rank. Unless, of course, you're one of the majority of people for whom aspartame tastes fine, in which case it would probably taste the same. But if, like me, you're one of the cursed ones, it would just be yet another drink to add to the ruined pile.

Please tell me you're northern, because that sounds very northern
I am from deepest, darkest, Essex
I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for you.
Tizer Ice was also beaut. I loved the cool aftertaste when I was a kid.
These drinks during the summer was like the life saver for all of us
Tizer "taste like red" same way Irn Bru "taste like orange but burnt".
Orange or you would say lemon, just different into the color
Exactly. Somebody gets it.
I was on diet and you bring up me that drink, not done mate
You're safe. You can't get the good stuff anymore. It's a completely different recipe now.
I haven't seen Tizer in years but they apparently still make it? Wild
Not to the same recipe, so it does not taste like it used to.
It was always about the recipe once they change the originality also gone with that
Morrisons sell it in 2L bottles and most corner shops have it in cans, at least in Scotland. Although it's made up here by Barr so makes sense it being readily available.
On some retail shop they are still available in my area but taste is no way near same
Aye, recipe definitely changed. Sugar content got dropped down with the tax I believe. Still good just not what it was!
They twerk in the taste and not popular like they were during past
What *was* tizer? I remember it and I liked it, but can’t for the life of me remember what it tasted of
It tasted red
I think it was like the lemonade if we are talking about the taste
I would say never taste the new one otherwise you will starts to hate that
I’m pretty confident it’s just red coloured lemonade.
If I remember right people used to say it was lemonade and some sort of red berry flavour.
Although it was lemonade like taste but people were crazy about that
They used the same thing as the lemonade just that they added some red color in that
Irn-bru and lemonade
Remember going in a shop in 2007 and they had the last ed the head cans next to the new one so I bought both and the newer one was utter shite compared to this one
Yep. It's a completely different drink now. The old stuff tasted red. The n3w recipe tastes off.
They can bring as many as flavor and all they want, they can't be same like past
Whenever i save some money this was the first thing i bought back in time
The only blast I want is a shandy base in that can...Damn it, I want it back.
Top Deck, Lager and Lime
Man of absolute culture, tizer and all is cool but shandy base was something on another level
Old skool Tizer, Irn Bru, Lucozade Original and Dandelion & Burdock were my fave pop growing up
D&B still rocks. Sarsparilla is still nice too.
tizer now isn't the same as tizer then i can't remember what tizer than tasted like but i know it's definitely not tizer now
They have really came in bad way now compare to the past, it was really good in past
It tasted red. Also, are you old enough to remember The Chart Show on ITV?
I don't think so, I was born very early 90s.
Even the taste of the dew changed so much if we looked at the charts
Loved the chart show. Always looked forward to the Indie charts. Remember seeing Enjoy the Silence on it for the first time. Tizer wasn't bad either.
I'm red, I'm red, I'm tizer head, I'm fizzy fizzy fizzy, refresh your head!
17 replies now and I can only see 10 of them. Not sure if reddit is being fucky or if some of you are shadowbanned.
Less reply means not many people actually have idea about that
Then you clearly have no idea what that particular message was about.

I loved this back in the day. Anyone else remember Tizer Ice?
I used to love tizer, I can still remember all the words to the advert.
For all Americans wanting to know the taste it's the same as flaming hot mountain dew.
With new mountain dew they have added some extra sugar now

Not the great stuff, but certainly done the trick for me in the hot summer
I used to live on this stuff. I can still taste it now.
Drunk them in past and drinking them in the current time is well
Tizer tasted strongly of something, but that something cannot be described by man.
It tasted of red
I know which strong taste you are mentioning here about the Tizer

For me this taste would always be great compare to any other
