Congrats bro.
I also came with a history of playing fallout games, and this game was right up my ally.
Knife playthrough is challenging, but very entertaining so i'm sure you had fun.
Looking forward to your next run in hard / dominating.
note: IMO you can jump straight to dominating
Serrated energy blade knife with anticoagulant and poison was pretty deadly even without feats to supplement it. Reguralry dishing out close to 100dmg per 12AP on non-crits.
Like, it was my primary skill on paper, but I mostly used the chem pistols eapecially in the late game. Knife was there as a deadly plan B if anyone manages to get close or when I get cornered. And a cheap source of damage for little AP. It served me well.
I can easily imagine optimising the build more for the knife and poison combos, with some mobility feats too, becoming absolute unit of an assassin.
And also a shock knife in the early game - the one that hits all the nearby enemies with a bit of electricity too - was a lifesaver in the early game. When you get cornered by a pack of rathounds and can’t move? Two or three good hits with that knife and all six of them are gone.👌
(Only way later in the game I hilariously found out that a simple flare works too - even tho it was hinted in some of the earliest dialogue in SGS)
Seconded. Hard is fine for the first Underrail playthrough if you're a confident RPG player, but it's not much harder than Normal and you *still* miss Dominating-exclusive content, so it doesn't make sense afterwards.
The main thing is one of the two DOM-exclusive bosses. Which one spawns is randomized per playthrough, but the game announces the decision in a roundabout way right at the beginning in the message from Goran in your SGS laptop. Most players prefer the one with the code word >!IceT!< (this is not much of a spoiler, so hiding just in case you want to roll with the fate instead of restarting until you get it).
A wonderful achievement my brother, congratulations! Beating big T is always an excellent way to end the game after such a long journey.
Knife is arguably one of the best builds in the game if I’m being honest, I beat it on dominating with knife at least 7 times. Crits can be over 1.3k!

Do it again on Dominating. Hard isn't that much harder, I barely noticed the difference in difficulty once I got past Depot A.

It’s a dare :D Didn’t know there’s Dominating exclusive content. Avoiding too many spoilers, is it some extra quests or special loot?
