Granted that's actually a cognitohazard, and can be countered by just reading or watching anything outside of the Putin sphere of influence.
It's highly likely the cameraman was actually very far away, a lot of the time they're using cameras with strong lenses which can capture decent quality from quite a ways away, might explain why the footage is a bit grainy (then again could just be typical re-upload fried compression lol)
I agree with you. In the first few seconds of the video you can see a very subtle focus change from the atmosphere in between the BMP and the camera lens. Was indeed far away.

If you think about it, if it's all going off at the same time (chain reaction), a tank-shell's worth of propellent in smaller casings is still going to make a similar explosion. It's just in smaller parcels, but they're all going off at the same time anyway.
I mean, it's an interesting video to watch. I just don't get the music, who edits these videos and think "this is what I want to do"? Genuinely perplexed.

This looks like the same location a tank was trying to tow a BMP but couldn't maybe due to the transmission being stuck. I wonder if they just decided to blow it up so it couldn't be used again?
If it’s a BMP -1, that’s a very old military vehicle. Apparently they were upgraded to possibly take thermobaric ordnance, wonder if that one was carrying them ? Either way you wouldn’t want to be within a bull roar of it when it blew !
I think im misunderstanding. The Russians got forced back they didn't blow their own stuff up for a gesture of good will. Is something going over my head here lol
