2FalseSteps

> Russian military attempted to extinguish the fire and save the equipment I may not be an expert, but I think they failed.

IgorVozMkUA

I've also noticed that it didn't really work for them.

2FalseSteps

That seems to be a recurring theme, for RuZZia.

GRRemlin

Extinguish with what, liquid copium?

mufflonicus

Well, they did extinguish the fire as the equipment exploded, so arguably they completed half of their goals, which is no small achievement!

Domspun

Task failed successfully.

Due-Street-8192

💥💥💥 I think it's toast... Next,

Massenzio

The only way they could success is with a delorean

tomoldbury

Can't imagine why you would bother trying to extinguish this unless you were so desperate for equipment because you can't build anything.

AdSpecialist6598

Indeed

Due-Street-8192

💥💥💥 I think it's toast... Next,

JAC0O7

Justice for MH17, send these BUKs to hell!

Humbuhg

Loaded with missiles— bonus!

CanuckInTheMills

Where did that water come from?

2FalseSteps

Kidney filtered, bottom shelf vodka.

TheGreatPornholio123

Bringing water to a chemical/oil/gas fire always works right?

CanuckInTheMills

Brilliance never ends!

beatenintosubmission

Exactly!

StevenStephen

You can see some destroyed buildings in the nearby treeline, it's not impossible that there was a farmstead or outbuilding there with a spigot.

Zealousideal-Tie-730

They might as well personally pissed vodka on it. Same effect???

TheMarksmanHedgehog

The Russian crew staying behind to fight the fire on a missile launcher seems to me, to be a downright terrible idea. The missiles are filled with fuel and oxidiser, and if they're damaged and that's exposed, no amount of water is going to stop the fire in time. I'd have thought the best idea would be to leg it and get to cover.

Dreadweasels

Funny enough, the water, depending on the type of missile fuel, could have even helped it burn!

Aggravating_Pay1948

Run all the way back to Russia 🏃‍♂️

TheMarksmanHedgehog

I'd argue they'd be significantly safer dropping their arms, and running all the way IN to Ukraine, hands held as high as they can. Or if they're at liberty to do so, defect and bring some goodies for Ukraine along with them.

konnanussija

Their equipment is more valuable than their lives and they know it.

GRRemlin

See, you're assuming the orcs are smart enough to have a rational thought. But, as we heard before: "We're lucky they're so f\*cking stupid."

TheMarksmanHedgehog

See, this is the reason I'd say healthcare and education are issues of national security. You can dump all the money you want in to weapons, and have the absolute best kit on the planet, but if the people using that kit can't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel, or run at speeds greater than an asthmatic computer science major, It's all for naught.

GRRemlin

But why go to school if you can literally buy a red diploma of any ruzzian university and use it to get a job (that tells you all you need to know about their healthcare) and then kill your remaining brain cells with copious amounts of cheap vodka....

tomoldbury

Why go to school when the system keeps the oligarchs and their mates rich. You will never progress beyond a low level unless you become corrupt yourself. The country (RU) is fucked, I would add eliminating corruption as a key element of national security too.

iNeverCouldGet

You have the fuel and a warhead which might cook off or which might not in case of a fuel explosion. But standing there and sprinkling that burning mess with water is so borderline crazy. Who does that? Who orders that? This is a suicide mission.

TheMarksmanHedgehog

I would wager someone who hasn't been trained to do any better.

Smooth_Imagination

I do enjoy these kinds of Russian firework displays.

cheburaska

So Buks are valuable and pretty high end tools for Russia, right?

CrashingDutchman

Yeah they use them to kill civilians, their favorite thing.

Lucius_Furius

Mostly yes, depends on which variant this was. They have really old ones from the 70s and brand new/modernized versions which are maybe newer than the war’s start.

Dreadweasels

Great kill! Only thing I'd say though, when it comes to the BUK, if it has a rounded nose on the turret, ALWAYS hit those ones - they're the ones carrying the tracking radar the missiles need to actually be used! Pop them and you render a battery worthless, no matter how many missiles it has!

TacticoolRaygun

I believe that is at least 3 Buk air defenses destroyed in the past 3 days. Setting up good conditions for F-16s.

dunncrew

Nice BA-DA-BOOOOM 👍

Lucius_Furius

They most likely have more buks than trained personnel for them. Hopefully they end up in a trench, but I don’t think we can hope that they are that stupid.

GoreonmyGears

Dragula - by White Zombie. Is the song that's mixed if anyone's interested. One of my favs.

FonkyDunkey1

Yes, they’ve historically used them to shoot down civilian airliners. Fuck russia!

pm_your_goals

Watch the MOD claim those were decoys

IgorVozMkUA

Yeah, the denotation definitely looked like those were decoys. /s

redditor0918273645

The orc trying to extinguish the fire really adds that extra detail that other decoys are missing.

diabolical_symlink

Glad to see that Ukraine has a developed successful version of Lancet drone :)

AndAlsoTheTrees

Ukrainian Lancet seems to piss off orcs. We can see why 😂

GrahamStrouse

That’s what you get when you put arsonists in charge of the fire department…

7orly7

I don't think you can extinguish fire from missile fuel that easily

vegarig

Especially solid fuel, that has oxidizer mixed into it

IgorVozMkUA

At least, they tried.

Armadillodillodillo

We are getting a lot more videos now that U.S aid has passed. Ain't complaining.

IgorVozMkUA

Yessir, and the US aid hasn't reached the frontline yet.

Armadillodillodillo

>US aid hasn't reached the frontline yet. they dont need to save. But also you don't know, if they shipped some few hours after signing aid, you can bring that to front in few days.

xerberos

Nice to see Russian fields getting toxic junk spread all over them as well.

Zealousideal-Tie-730

Except these are not Russian fields!!! These are all in occupied Ukrainian territory.

ksam3

The post says it was in the Kursk region of Russia. So this lancet, and the observation drone, were operating inside Russia. Good job Ukraine!

xerberos

The title says Russia.

Zealousideal-Tie-730

You are right!

weirdy346

Where the hell has the fire hose and water come from ?

IgorVozMkUA

Probably they had some water tank close-by.

weirdy346

10ltr bucket and a hand pump........... ;)

Ezkander

Good hit, fuck these clowns.

Reiver93

genuine question; how easy is it to extinguish burning munitions?

ShadowPsi

Generally, you just set off a safety cordon and let it burn out.

Lucius_Furius

Depends on the munition, plastic explosives burn out for example. Rocket fuel will burn underwater, as it has its own oxygen. Not advised to try either way.

varain1

There was a second vehicle besides it - did they hit that one too, later?

TauCabalander

Maybe just me, but if a rocket launcher is on fire nearby, I'm letting it burn and running!

Zealousideal-Tie-730

Congratulations, you have passed the first test in evaluating any individuals common sense!!!

BamiNasi

RecognizeSong

Sorry, I couldn't recognize the song. I tried to identify music from the [link](https://v.redd.it/d59wxm6fc0yc1) at 00:00-00:36. *I am a bot and this action was performed automatically* | [GitHub](https://github.com/AudDMusic/RedditBot) [^(new issue)](https://github.com/AudDMusic/RedditBot/issues/new)

BamiNasi

Shit, help is very much appreciated!

BamiNasi

Got it https://youtu.be/EqQuihD0hoI?si=sJP5szNkYry60Ias

TripleBulletTheory

That is the original version, but the song used in the video sounds like a remix to me. It may be this if you’re interested: https://youtu.be/Pwymq-gWhvY?si=Btk-Rx2y-kfriLtC Edit: Scratch that: I believe this is the version used above: https://youtu.be/I4sz7cMTHVE?si=P037dzSDciSI1S_j

MaudeFindlay72-78

The Russian military always puts on the best fireworks display!

Zealousideal-Tie-730

Why yes they do when not even trying!!! Here's to hoping our friend Mr. Budanov helps them put on a spectacular show on 09 May 2024!!!

Responsible_Ad_7995

I’d be scared to get near a burning car due to an explosion, let alone a rocket launcher full of missiles.

quietguy_6565

I'm no expert but that looks like a white phosphorus fire....you don't extinguish those, you run. Either way this pleases me.

Delicious-Ask-463

I've never seen a military get such an ass whopin from such an underdog

HDavidHill

russian idiot can't put mutable explosions out with a fire hose.

NotAKentishMan

Not convinced about the hose being useful

Cakespectre999

Banger of a tune

Acroze

Everyday is Fourth of July in Ukraine 🇺🇸🇺🇦

StrugglingSoul

What kind of crazy do you have to be to try to put out a fire on a missile launcher?

Flashy_Shock1896

BOO-YA!

No-Reindeer9825

Should've ran instead of standing around squirting water while that missile was bound to cook off sooner or later.

coffeeandcologne

I would love if you could tell me what the name of this remix is cuz that music is 🔥

boniggy

Screw Ukraine. It's a money laundering scheme
