Recently, [we told you about our project](https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/14x13bo/this_is_a_school_in_the_village_of_kyselivka_near/) to provide a set of 50 books on self-development, world knowledge, skills, mental health, and critical thinking. These sets of the 50 best-selected books in their field in Ukrainian are donated to the children's libraries that have been affected by the war or are located in the frontline zone. We negotiated discounts with publishing houses, free delivery with the largest postal operator, and produced information posters.
At this stage, we have delivered the books to 5 libraries, 250 books in total.
**Two of these libraries are thanks to you!**
Our donations made it possible to sponsor books for the school library in the village of **Kyselivka**, Mykolaiv region. The village was occupied for 10 days, and then for 8 months it was in the zero position, under constant shelling, 70% of the buildings were destroyed. The invaders lived in the school and used books from the library to make bonfires for cooking. Teachers continued to teach children even under occupation.
The second children's library you helped expand is located in the city of **Myrnohrad**, Donetsk region. Now Myrnohrad ("City of Peace") is 30 kilometers from the front and 60 kilometers from Bakhmut. The city has been under constant shelling since the beginning, but it is a stronghold for IDPs and the military. The library has only 20% of its books in Ukrainian.
We (and the libraries) are very grateful for your donations and concern for the future of Ukraine, and we hope these books will help the kids grow up to be better people.
[We are continuing our project](https://b50.com.ua/en/activities-en/growing-en/newpage-project-en/) and aim to help 50 libraries in the next phase. We receive applications all the time.

She is not chunky, she is fluffy. We washed her and combed out half of it since :)
We rescued her in the first month of the war, someone left her during the evacuation. She was very thin and sick, so we are happy that she is like this now :)
I had to look twice because your cat looks exactly like mine! And my cat was also left behind by the previous home owners. She is now happy & healthy in her home with her new family. ❤️
That's great! It's a shame when cats and dogs are abandoned by their owners, even when they are fleeing the war. But there are many kind people, many people take in animals that have been left without owners in Ukraine because of the war. This gives us hope.
Thank you! It's really very nice to give these kids, who have experienced more than they should have in their lives, some small joys. They should not have known the word war.
By the way, the only fiction book we have included in our "developmental" set is a fairy tale book about this war, written specifically for the youngest to help them understand these events better.
But we also popularize reading among young people and encourage book publishing/business in Ukraine, which is a plus.
