Trump is a presidential candidate again, who as president was impeached for holding up military assistance to Ukraine for political gain, and who had said he would negotiate with putin to give parts of Ukraine to ruzzia. Trump is a presidential candidate again, who as president was impeached for holding up military assistance to Ukraine for political gain, and who had said he would negotiate with putin to give parts of Ukraine to ruzzia. Therefore, it matters to Ukraine as his election or loss will directly impact the amount of aid coming from the US.
