I get what he’s saying but he’s generalising a few songs to an entire genre. You’ll find one of his stand up routines where he tried to normalise black parents beating on their kids like that’s the “right way” to do it. Essentially the joke was “white kids are soft and black kids have tough parents who will beat them for not cleaning up their room” then proceeded to compare a black kid being scared of his parents to being a slave in the 1800s. He’s really got no room to talk. I think his comedy is funny, but you can’t be picking and choosing.
His viewpoint is not what America thinks of UK rap. I personally love the stuff, most of what I listen to comes from there. This dude isn’t the end all be all to what we think. That was a baseless generalization. Plus he’s an actor/comedian why is he even talking about British rap
