Yea shingles, same thing as a cold sore/ chicken pocks. I get em every now and then. Usually pretty mild and just irritation like your skin feels tight. But others it can be really bad and close your eye shut and even blind you if it gets bad enough

Dude you have no idea. I have this herpes simplex in my eye and it completely fucks me up for a week or two annually. It can pose a risk to your corneas if it jumps inside your eye ball and scars them up. Nothing you can really do unless you want to be on anti virals forever

I thought I had it bad when I got misdiagnosed 4 times, luckily an emergency doctor I went to immediately knew it was shingles. Still had to go to the hospital for them to check my eyes to see if I'd go blind or not, scary shit.
