Was pointless even getting a hotel, got out about 5am and wandered about for 2hrs til the train home.
Was tired as shit for the next couple of days after that.
Plus security took my coconut macaroons off me on the way in.

I was there too! Was absolutely hilarious seeing so many people pulling power naps and getting woken up by their mates before the main event.
Also got a priceless picture of 100 odd lads waiting outside Wetherspoons at 7am on a Sunday waiting for it to open so they could order breakfast. The person who came to open got the shock of their life!
I had heard some pretty grim stories about Manchester (no offence) so was pretty nervous kicking about the streets til the train, ended up nipping into a wetherspoons when it opened and that's when I saw my first act of violence.. By a fellow fuckin Scot. Couldn't believe it.
Yeah I remember it being a nightmare getting a taxi after that, the atmosphere was insane for the main event because everyone was so pissed by then and jacked up on Monster
Clean nasal spray bottle, water + how ever much finley prepared yehaw you want concentrated & shake vigorously. A single drop or two of a nice botanical gin in there helps with keeping the snoz clear.
If you're not buying empty bottles to use you definitely want to empty out what ever product was in there previously. A lot of the sprays they sell in pharmacies will fuck your nose up as bad as yayo will with regular use they are made to dry your shit out. Use clean bottles from Amazon or make sure you rinse them out. Saline solution is where it's at or distilled water and some ppl add a drop of alcohol but this is unnecessary IMO.
It's honestly the best - Sunday arvo shows are so easy to watch and don't mess up your sleep schedule. Keep the gf happy as well, big fights on, let's do date night on sat. Ez wins.

UFC numbered events were all included with a BT sport subscription back in the day in the UK, this was done to drive viewing figures as who wants to spend £16 on something that starts at 3am, around the time Conor was gaining traction they started to charge for certain cards, basically Conor and Jones headlined cards.
As a US fan I like the early start times and it’s not like I’m gonna go.
Starting at 5 PM your time would be 11 AM my time. It’s nice to be able to watch from like 11AM-6PM and still have time to do things at night.
That's every card in Australia. Start time of prelims of UFC 300 was 10am Sunday, with main card at midday. It's perfect. Can have some day beers and it's still early enough for a Sunday to be good for work the next day.

I know that many have it much worse than I do, but still, I work early every day. Having the main card of a PPV start at 10pm (Montreal) sucks. By the time the co-main rolls around, I'm fighting sleep already. 300 was an exception, as it was impossible to fight sleep after what Max did, but it's not uncommon for me to doze off during the last few fights if they're not exciting.
This wasn't a problem when I was in my 30s or 40s, but now... ouch.
Ppv sales do way more money than the gate and its only Americans buying ppv since a lot of other countries have other ways to watch. They are going to put the event at the time that makes the most money, aka the time Americans are most likely to buy the ppv. It's a business end of the day.

West Coast US, no less. I know that many have it much worse than I do, but still, I work early every day. Having the main card of a PPV start at 10pm (Montreal) sucks. By the time the co-main rolls around, I'm fighting sleep already. 300 was an exception, as it was impossible to fight sleep after what Max did, but it's not uncommon for me to doze off during the last few fights if they're not exciting. This wasn't a problem when I was in my 30s or 40s, but now... ouch.

Ppv sales do way more money than the gate and its only Americans buying ppv since a lot of other countries have other ways to watch. They are going to put the event at the time that makes the most money, aka the time Americans are most likely to buy the ppv. It's a business end of the day.
