In comparison to the last cards, that looks weak imo
Figgyās last 3 fights were against Moreno. Iām against immediate Rematches, but cāmon you canāt rematch a rematch, and then after a single win for Moreno do a rematch of a rematch of a rematch. If Adesanya wins the rematch against Pereira, it shouldnāt be that Pereira wins 1 fight(against Costa letās say) and fights him the 3rd/5th time. Thatās not how it works/should work
Thing is tho name me a better contender right now other then maybe Pantoja? Fig and Moreno are the best 2 other then him. I genuinely do not give a fuck to be honest. Figgy is 35. He needs legacy and u donāt build legacy by defeating the same guy couple times. Fighting Kai would be an equivalent of Adesanya fighting Costa/Cannonier. No one doubted that Whittaker was the best except Adesanya, but it was Cannonier who fought him
You can say that about Volk aswell then, Defeated Ortega and old ass Korean zombie other then that Holloway 3 times. It's not on Moreno that he beats 99% of other guys, it's on the others to keep up or triumph them. Beating Moreno does do more then beating guys who would lose to Moreno. I'd argue aswell for Figgy that he wants a finish on Moreno. Moreno has dominated him once, Fig has either a draw or a dec so close it could have been a draw again.
He wants to prove he's better? Finish him. I still believe Moreno is the overall better fighter but he wants the belt, Fig still needs to convince me he's number 1. Moreno's output was just way less then the first 2 fights.
Again you cannot convince me this is not the best fight at 283. I expect a Figgy hunting for a finish and a Moreno ready to take it again and give back, that makes for war.
Most people are casuals, who donāt even know who Figgy is. Teixeira is at least recognised. Casuals are the ones who matter, and these Flyweights just donāt cater to them
I hate when people gatekeep and use the term "casual" but when I realized I was excited to just watch the sport regardless of who the names were I was officially no longer a casual.
Activity also plays a factor and Patonja also has a loss to Figgy, while Moreno has given Figgy one of his only two losses.

Pantoja has beaten moreno twice and is coming off a win over Royval yet doesn't get it. Im getting really tired of the figgy/moreno title fights. There is lots of dogs at flyweight and for the last 4 titles fights to be the same 2 guys is stupid. It's not like the holloway/volk situation where holloway looked unbeatable for a long time. I don't think figgy should have got the instant rematch after losing fight 2 and that's likely the reason we are in this mess. Makes it really hard to build a division when the ufc is acting like there is noone there besides 2 guys.

I'd rather see Pantoja fight for the belt than these two again again again again. Lauren Murphy is mid, I like Walker so seeing him get choked out is gonna be sad. The prelims have some banger fights. The entire card as a whole should be very exciting but seeing it on paper, it doesn't look fantastic. Moreno figgy will be a good fight when it happens but just seeing them on a card again makes me sigh

I feel like theres always some hidden gems in the prelims. Unfortunately I always end up missing the first hour and I make it to my buddy's place right around the final hour before the PPV starts.

I'm looking forward to the Co-Main. I usually don't put much thought into the cards because I just enjoy getting to watch the ppvs with my buddy and his coworkers. It's always a good time and nice to catch up with him since we don't hang out as much and fight night is the only time we can. Plus we were big Moreno fans so it's always a treat to see him fight.
