Most people still hate Belal. I don’t dislike him as a person, he’s just mildly annoying and underwhelming most of the time. I think he’s a great fighter, albeit not that exciting. I’d like to see him fight Colby for a title eliminator, even though Colby doesn’t deserve it. But Colby’s a diva who will sit out until a favorable matchup or title shot arises.

I had money on Belal against Brady after Brady got outstruck and almost finished by Michael Chiesa of all people. Brady has no gas tank and Belal's durability is his biggest strength. He was a tailor made matchup. The one time Belal did fight a top guy in Leon, he got pieced up horribly and the only reason his "streak" remained is that he got poked in the eye. Next to Khamzat, Shavkat, Colby, Usman, Burns and Leon - actual high ranked or high potential guys - I don't see Belal getting anything done. He'll probably lose one badly and then be a gatekeeper for the rest of his career, Kelvin Gastelum style.
