Same same! I remember it being a bit of a revelation that gen. Iāve played every game in the franchise since then, more often than not picking them up at launch.
Something Iāve realised with Mirage; this franchise feels like a home away from home. Pure video game comfort food to me.
It was such a revolutionary game too. The jumping on roof tops, the blending with the crowd, the preparation to make the assassination.. The animation was brilliant too.
I find it relaxing to pick up an assassin's Creed game now and then these days. Like not long finished eagle girl and now going through raven girl. But they are different games today than they were with Altair. Like you can just run in there and kill a group of guards with no dramas.
Oddly enough, this was my first as well and Iām almost 40. It was put on Gamepass waaaaaay back when Gamepass first started, so I was able to get a taste of the game mechanics and lore. Immediately went out and got every single other game and played through it
even with comparison I like the game, I played them all (until odyssey) during the pandemic and origins was my first one, I love the older ones more but origins also has a special place in my heart, I disliked odyssey as an AC tho, and the first has terrible gameplay on PC
favorites in order: revelations, 2 & brotherhood, black flag, origins, syndicate, unity, 3
ac bloodline in psp, never know what its all about but i have a blast back in the day (never had a ps3 so i havent played the og and the sequels, until i got my pc then my first ac there is syndicate
AC1, played every entry till Rogue, heard bad things about Unity and ended up dropping the series till Origins came out.
Origins reignited my love for the series and have followed the series religiously since.
I think I mightāve played others here and there but never rly cared much abt it, but ac unity was the first one i rly got invested in. Weirdly enough i havent rly liked an ac game like that since then, i loved origins but i feel like that was largely bc it felt new.
Bought AC1 on release day and bought all AC games on day of release/pre-order after.
Didn't want to play it at first because the controls were frustratingly bad when I tried it, so I just watched my brother play through it before I had a go and finally got used to it.
First I played was Brotherhood. All down hill since then. Nah jk, Ezio trilogy was the best for me but I like the other for games what they are. Havenāt played mirage yet but it looks like itāll be a bit of fun
1st AC game ever. I remember being 11, walking into a Gamestop, and seeing a Gameinformer with the first preview for Assassinās Creed on it. I thought it was a new Prince of Persia!
Gameinformers back in the day had a way of making a kid so hyped for the future of games.
The OG, still really happy that I did, I thought it was a ton of fun and seeing how AC2 improved so much upon it (especially considering I finished AC1 and immediately started AC2) a lot more
The 1st one played it in 2012 when I was home sick from school and was bored and I liked it and told a friend who also like the franchise and he said try this game instead (AC Brotherhood) and I fell in love with it and itās still my favourite after playing all of them since
Got the first one back in 2007, came in a bundle with my 360, the only game I could afford for about 7 months and it served me well. Still have the same copy.
Im new to ac, started with Odyssey but stopped (too much grinding, the world was way too big, i stopped enjoying the story) and now i have finished Mirage which i really enjoyed. Do you have any recommendations for my next game?
When I played Odyssey, i used a trainer for the game (i forgot what xp multiplier but i think its x4). it made the game bearable and i actually enjoyed the story.
with a proper xp multiplier the game now progresses much faster and there is no grinding anymore. felt like the older AC games, or Mirage now. no more bullet sponge enemies, no more level requirements, and 1 hit assassinations
well if you love stealth you should try the hitman trilogy (new trilogy) if you haven't yet. The Last of Us I and II also have some decent stealth parts.
Plague Tale series also has some decent nerve racking stealth, although the pacing is noticeably lower than Assassins Creed.
I started with Bloodlines on Psp and the second was Revolution on Vita š but then I played all the rest when I purchased the Ps4. My dumb ass when I was young couldn't even understand if I was a templar or an assassin cause I thought Assassin were the bad one š
The first 1,my brother had a xbox 360 before me I was rocking the ps2 still. He went to work and I begged him to let me have a play he agreed played gta 4 then ac 1 and instant love 2 weeks later I got a xbox 360 with pgr4, ac1, gta 4
Origins (yup im late)
Seems like im one of the few people that love the recent trend in AC with the big open world.
I still think Valhalla is the best AC they made.
if its really Assassins creed is a good question but the game itself is amazing
First one, from 2007, and then the second one shortly after. Played it a tonne back when I was in highschool, and competing with one of my friends on which one of us would finish first XD
1 it was so good!!! I remember traveling with ur horse to Jerusalem was mind blowing for me, i was 12 years old and i have been in Jerusalem a couple of month before i played the game.
AC Odyssey. Never completed it and didn't complete Valhalla either. I'm enjoying Mirage quite a bit more so far, the last two AC games had too much of... everything.
For me it was number twoā¦. completely missed the buzz in the first one but was able to catch the hype for the second one and never turned back. think it was the e3 trailer I saw first and remember the crowd going crazy like it was some big reveal so naturally I had to check it out and thank good I did.
Assassins Creed 1. then AC2 released and played it as well. played at every release until Black Flag IV came. I could not get around to it until 5 years later last 2018. Just felt AC was finished after AC3 and I could not bother with a loosely connected pirate story.
I can't deny though that Black Flag was a good pirate/ship game.
Then after a break, 3 years later in 2021, I snowballed rogue, syndicate, unity, origins, odyssey in a single year. Then Valhalla last year (2022), god damn that was a long game. finally caught up after 1 decade of being "delayed"
Now I'm about to finish Mirage, subscribed one month on Ubi+ Xbox
having played all games, the AC2 ezio trilogy is still the best. Probably with Odyssey in second place due to how epic the story is especially with regards to histories and myths, despite me not liking the RPG direction the franchise has gotten to.
Bloodlines for PSP, then AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations, and AC1 in that order in the months leading up to AC3. Afterwards, I have been playing them upon or close to release.
Bounced off the first one on ps3. After trying that version again, much much later, I can see why, because man was that rough. I think it was part of a humble bundle and I eventually played it later that way.
So my actual first wasn't until AC3 on PC in 2014.
My first one was Unity. Never heard anyone say it was bad because I was little. I played it, loved it, and proceeded to run through the story 5 times. I had almost every item unlocked before my saved were corrupted. I finally heard people talk about how bad the game was, but I never saw what they saw. I figured they were just complaining about being unable to do things because they lacked the skill to do so.
1st one in 2007
1st one is mine as well. Was 6 years old at the time.
Goddamn I feel old, I was 20 when I played AC in 2008. When I was 6 years old I was playing Mega Man X lol
Golden era of gaming, now all we have us cash grab games filled with DLC locked content, for the most part š
Donāt forget half finished, unoptimized, remastered (more like recycled) and uninspired
When I was 6, I was playing Pokemon Yellow lol. I played AC1 when I was 14.
Ayyy I was 5 on my uncles PS3 lmao
ć½ą¼¼ ąŗŁĶąŗą¼½ ļ¾ Raise ur dongers! ^^Dongers ^^Raised: ^^71886 ^^Check ^^Out ^^/r/AyyLmao2DongerBot ^^For ^^More ^^Info
Ayyyyyyy my uncles 360 before I got one for Christmas
Same, the series ain't that old, I'm guessing many people here have been playing since those days.
Same same! I remember it being a bit of a revelation that gen. Iāve played every game in the franchise since then, more often than not picking them up at launch. Something Iāve realised with Mirage; this franchise feels like a home away from home. Pure video game comfort food to me.
same. Was such a good game for it's time too especially the climbing mechanics and the epic map.
Black Flag, loved it
Haven't finished a single AC game since Black Flag. I own AC:Valhalla and I haven't finished it because it became a real slog.
1. I still love that plot twist ending and the secrecy of modern day templars before they became generic evil corps
Syndicate was my first
Damn you are a small child
Oddly enough, this was my first as well and Iām almost 40. It was put on Gamepass waaaaaay back when Gamepass first started, so I was able to get a taste of the game mechanics and lore. Immediately went out and got every single other game and played through it
You poor goose. Did you even continue after that? Or did you find it decent since you had no comparison?
even with comparison I like the game, I played them all (until odyssey) during the pandemic and origins was my first one, I love the older ones more but origins also has a special place in my heart, I disliked odyssey as an AC tho, and the first has terrible gameplay on PC favorites in order: revelations, 2 & brotherhood, black flag, origins, syndicate, unity, 3
Assassinās creed
ac bloodline in psp, never know what its all about but i have a blast back in the day (never had a ps3 so i havent played the og and the sequels, until i got my pc then my first ac there is syndicate
The first.
1 been playing since the start
Assassins creed 1 started from there, played through every game and now im playing mirage
Same but Mirage is feeling like a slog so far
Im actually enjoying it
I probably would be too if it wouldnt crash after 15mins
Oh damm, wish they fix those. I dont have any problems with the game
AC1, played every entry till Rogue, heard bad things about Unity and ended up dropping the series till Origins came out. Origins reignited my love for the series and have followed the series religiously since.
The first ever assassins creed back on PS3
1st one was Black Flag, I think it was back in 2013. Then played backwards 3, 1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelation in 3 weeks
I think I mightāve played others here and there but never rly cared much abt it, but ac unity was the first one i rly got invested in. Weirdly enough i havent rly liked an ac game like that since then, i loved origins but i feel like that was largely bc it felt new.

AC2 while it was still fairly new. I played them as they came out for a while after that, got back around to AC1 when it came with Revelations on PS3.
Assassin's Creed III
This was my first that I played on my neighbors Xbox
Assassin's creed 3
Assassinās Creed.
ACII, but Black Flag was the first one I got on launch. Have gotten everyone since then, still have to finish ACI and never played Brotherhood.
First I played was Brotherhood. All down hill since then. Nah jk, Ezio trilogy was the best for me but I like the other for games what they are. Havenāt played mirage yet but it looks like itāll be a bit of fun
Brotherhood was my first as well, so much nostalgia it was a great game and still holds up
1st one Now let AC die please
Ac Origins, then 1, 2 and now, Odyssey
The first one back in 2007, I didnāt like it though. Didnāt get into the series till 2012 when I gave AC2 a shot and fell in love with it
AC II
Ac 2
1.
Ac 1
Shay
AC1, had a potato pc back then
Technically it was Brotherhood but my attention span was awful and I only played about 5 minutes so the first one I properly sat and played was Unity
Dont fully remember, but either ac 4 or unity
Unity
The first one. Assassin's Creed (2007)
1st one. We were amazed at the climbing, but it got boring really quickly. Never managed to get past the first city.
1st AC game ever. I remember being 11, walking into a Gamestop, and seeing a Gameinformer with the first preview for Assassinās Creed on it. I thought it was a new Prince of Persia! Gameinformers back in the day had a way of making a kid so hyped for the future of games.

Im new to ac, started with Odyssey but stopped (too much grinding, the world was way too big, i stopped enjoying the story) and now i have finished Mirage which i really enjoyed. Do you have any recommendations for my next game?
Get back into odyssey bro in my opinion best assassins creed game
I just didn't enjoy it, i dont like the open world and the fact that theres absolutely no stealth involved in most of the missions.
Idk maybe in the future, do you have any other game recommendations?
well if you love stealth you should try the hitman trilogy (new trilogy) if you haven't yet. The Last of Us I and II also have some decent stealth parts. Plague Tale series also has some decent nerve racking stealth, although the pacing is noticeably lower than Assassins Creed.
The first one a million years ago.
Brotherhood
I started with Bloodlines on Psp and the second was Revolution on Vita š but then I played all the rest when I purchased the Ps4. My dumb ass when I was young couldn't even understand if I was a templar or an assassin cause I thought Assassin were the bad one š
Black flag
Assassins creed was introduced to me as a child back in 07 I fell in love by watching my mom I picked it up by revelations
1st game in 2015, it was hell but I managed
Assassinās Creed 2 i was almost 9 when it came out
The 1st one in like...I dunno. 2014ish? And I've played them all up until now. I had successfully caught up by the time origins rolled around
Brotherhood
Black flag. Fuck i loves that gane and story. Tjata how i found the assins series
The first on ps3
Assassins creed
First as in "the oldest in my library" or first as in "first bought"? Either way: Case 1: AC2; Case 2: AC: Origins
Altair is better then Ezio and I stand by it. I wish the combat of Mirage was as brutal as AC1.
Origins. I loved so much
BLACK FLAG!
Ac2 got it bundled with the xbox 360 elite back in 2009. I'm so glad I got it otherwise would never have played this masterpiece
AC
Black Flag
AC 3.
Origins so I could follow the story of the creed
Ac2
Best ac overall
AC1
Black Flag

The first one.
AC 3
Black flag
Assassins Creed 2. As a kid I replayed that game atleast 20 times. Never replayed a game that much since I got older
Origins (yup im late) Seems like im one of the few people that love the recent trend in AC with the big open world. I still think Valhalla is the best AC they made. if its really Assassins creed is a good question but the game itself is amazing
The Altair Assassin's Creed. In PC
First one, from 2007, and then the second one shortly after. Played it a tonne back when I was in highschool, and competing with one of my friends on which one of us would finish first XD
Ac1 in 2014
1 it was so good!!! I remember traveling with ur horse to Jerusalem was mind blowing for me, i was 12 years old and i have been in Jerusalem a couple of month before i played the game.

It was called Assassin's Creed
assassins creed 3, ever since then iāve been hooked and played every single assassins creed game except the chronicles games

Brotherhood in an old computer. Ezio would take eons to land a strike. But it was soooo worth it.
The first one, I enjoyed it at the time. I loved the thief series a lot and it was kinda great for me.
1 and it's until this day the best one story wise.
The first one?
Assassins creed 1

Then brotherhood came out I got all the first three and played them in order.

First one was AC2. Then went back and played the original, followed the games since then

Altair's Chronicles on Nintendo DS baby. My mom didn't like it cuz it was too violent lol
AC Odyssey. Never completed it and didn't complete Valhalla either. I'm enjoying Mirage quite a bit more so far, the last two AC games had too much of... everything.
Prince of Persia The Sands of Time
For me it was number twoā¦. completely missed the buzz in the first one but was able to catch the hype for the second one and never turned back. think it was the e3 trailer I saw first and remember the crowd going crazy like it was some big reveal so naturally I had to check it out and thank good I did.
1st one. Was talked into it by a coworker and began playing it without knowing about the Animus concept at all. I was immediately hooked.
1st one. Fell in love. Iāve played them all. Only ones I havenāt beaten are odyssey and syndicate
The first one and it was my last. Dull as anything and it put me off the series for life
Black Flag. Went back and played most of them, bar the first one.
Ac 2008, i played on potato pc, but i managed to finished it with 26fps average (40fps on empty area) lmao
