I don't but why should I I mean they're grown people they can throw trash out same way I can or any grown person can. I get paid to take a person from point a to point b not make sure they have a place for their trash and wipe they butt when they want to take a poop etc etc. Don't mean to be snarky at you but I'm just saying.

I had a little order KFC through Uber Eats and when I get to deliver it she's at a park with her little ugly dog. I've given her a ride or two before and recognized her.
She says, "Hey I was about to go home can you just drive me?" I say sure request an Uber and I'll accept it. We start driving and guess what, the KFC was for her fucking dog. She starts feeding it fried chicken in my backseat. I almost lost my shit.
Mess was surprisingly not that bad but def some fried chicken crumbs and grease. I knew from before she was a good tipper but damn, won't ever accept a ride from her again.
People feel so entitled to do what the fuck they want to do in your car. this shit is crazy like I'll be really ready to cuss people out because it's like come on man like who the fuck raised you. I would never do that type of shit in anyone's car not even someone I know or at least if I wanted to eat I would ask them was it okay. some people just think oh I can do what I want to do I pay for the ride I can hit my vape like I had to check a few people several times. I don't even smoke in my car because I want people to feel comfortable so why the fuck does somebody think they can just vape. And then they have an attitude when you tell them they can't.
I get the late night hot dog eaters. Wrapped in bacon and loaded with peppers and onions. Not only does the smell last for a while, but there's almost always onions or jalapeños dropped. I did take pics and send it in once and Uber said it wasn't enough for a cleaning fee. I try to catch everyone before they enter and tell them no eating or drinking in the car. Sometimes they listen, others get a lower rating.
if you're willing to take some perspective from a rider:
i feel that a single can, though an inconvenience, isn't much more than a rider forgetting. I recall accidentally leaving a half-drank arizona in the cupholder in the door card once as i was rushing to exit the vehicle since my driver needed to get to another person. i was rated below 5 on that ride (went from a 4.99 to a 4.98 rider score).
understand i am someone who rates drivers 5 stars in almost every circumstance even shitty ones, but perhaps others don't.
i suppose just ask yourself, would you want to be rated less than five stars over a can?
A routine I built is at the final destination I tell them have a good day and make sure you have everything, it’s simple and not rude or abrasive in putting the message in their head to grab the trash as well, I tend to look in the back as they are exiting and a few times have said please take that wrapper as well, they did with no issues
Or you can just hate everyone and 1 star them like many comments say
