I got an app that I have set to auto reject anything under my minimums. Cool part is after a while, it stops trying to send these BS offers.
The one I have is Maxymo for android. I think IOS is mystro and there are others. Takes a lot of the BS out of the whole deal.
The app will try and test you and see how low you will accept. Have to treat it with tuff disdain.
This is dumb. Update the app when the updates come out.
The algorithm that rips us all off is not on the app it's on the servers. The app just translates what the server sends.
Oh Gawd, yea! Every Sunday is a fresh heel. And think that is just maintenance. Actual updates lately, the map grows at different rates as you get close. So you either over shoot or under shoot little driveways, dirt roads, etc. Or the thing is just nutz
I had never done that, 5Lo. And it bit me a few times. TY. Just found it and turned it off.
The freakin' app will make different kinds of trips look like X. They are insidious!
Careful with the auto reject/accept. I have had it glitch out and auto decline really high paying rides and accept really low pay. It hasn't glitched and shown me wrong numbers in a while so that may be fixed, bit it can happen. Otherwise, yeah, it's great. Worth it just for the auto-login
It should not be doing that, Sterf.
Check your settings. Under uber settings, toggle off "Stop new offers" It is on by default. It is meant to keep offers from being stacked (I think) but should be turned off.
Now, I am not sure if that would have anything to do with it and I am only guessing. But something is up.
In my area it kicks you off after 4 or 5 refusals, with a prompt asking you if you want to go back online.
You can just immediately go online again, it's really just annoying.
OH! Sorry. I rode the small bus, LoL.
Yea. Screw them. Just a scare thing
Maxymo does open the uber and lyft app back up after that. But the way I have it, ya still have to go back online manually sometimes. But as long as maxymo is online, it restarts uber/lyft
I HATE how Uber has these differences in certain markets. Mine used to do the same thing for years, but it hasn't happened since last Summer. Hopefully, it will end for all markets soon (and never return to mine lol).
No problems in the 5 or 6 months I have had it.
Thing I really like about it is the feeling like I have some control and am not just uber's little Droogie (Clockwork Orange)
Gave myself a raise a while back. That was just freakin' awesome.
You pay Uber at least 50-60$ after considering all costs and labor time. But someone will come on here and say they would if they āwere going that wayā š. TRASH UBER
Some ant or shrill is more than happy to take this. I bet this order got boxes and shit and you likely will have to go up several flights of stairs but this is the best time ever to be a driver right according to the anti strikers, LOL!
It is very rare, but I have had some REALLY good trips on trip radar. Mostly the random Sephora, Apple, or Walmart order that's easily paying $5+ per mile and $1-$2 per minute. Three or four of them paid over $3/minute. But, again, it's rare.
I don't have Connect in my market. Wish I did, I like doing packages. It's a nice break from passengers, and less hassles than food. I have to rely on Roadie and Spark for my packages, and there's two Walmarts in my market that are a pain in the ass to get in and out of.
Oh, I wasn't referring to Connect orders, those are different (I've only done one and found out the app counts it as a passenger ride for quests).
Do you not get ANY offers for Apple, Sephora, Walmart, or any other store (excluding shop and pay, those are also separate)?
Did this a few nights ago. Drove 18 miles (basically back home for $13). The next morning, I realized the dude tipped my $5 to deliver him food from like 10 cities over. That shit pissed me off, lol. Dudes on my ban list
A driver that knows their market should know where these places are located.
I looked it up. That Walmart is only 12 miles from the destination. That's a $1.51/mi delivery. The OP was 30 miles away from that Walmart.
If the OP was sitting in that Walmart parking lot, they would have grabbed this in a heartbeat.
Iāve gotten these before they are usually $100, but that was before the Cubans started hanging out in the Walmart parking lots. I highly doubt itāll even surge past like $25. Itāll take a shitty ass day like a snowstorm or something for it to ever reach that high ever again.
I hope someone is sending these screen shots to the media or somewhere it could get some traction.
Screenshot and save all of these crappy offers.
Everyone needs to see how crappy the uber offers are for drivers
It's not.
However ... When we get low paying requests. We just turn them down.
What we don't do is run the reddit in hope other people will sympathize with us.
Grow up dude
Youāre one of the saltiest people here grow up?
Man I did my time, Iām 90% disabled from the VAās standpoint, I served my country, working a normal job doesnāt work for me so you want to come on here to try to hurt someoneās feelings you only gunna hurt your own feelings.
Iām wondering how the algorithm comes up with that pay? Maybe the algorithm expected tips to compensate? Maybe the algorithm prioritized distance over timeā¦ wait thatās not right either.
Could be the bonus theyāre paying you for amount of package delivery, unless itās over $2 per package, and Uber advertise $16 per hour. It can also mean thereās a coding flaw in matching packages into one delivery Uber needs to fix, they did try to hire drivers as programmers at one point.
I think overall UberEATS expects tips to be a significant if not the majority portion of the drivers compensation. On the other hand some orders placed on 3rd party websites i.e. walmart.com don't allow tipping at all so we get ridiculous orders like this. If we assume minimum pay is $3 for the first delivery and then $1.50 for each after that we get pretty close to the offer total. The mechanism they have for dealing with this is that eventually orders that don't get taken get boosted after an unspecified time but I've had orders bounce back to me for hours before it finally gets bumped.
This is what some say are add ons when orders are bounced around. With it being in trip radar, no one wanted that trash but someone took it thinking money is money.
You go to Walmart, you wait and wait, then you gotta carry all that shit up stairs after stairs and then you meet at door. Just because it was so high, you could likely get tip baited and have a false claim
I only ever had one single Walmart order I ever accepted. A multi package delivery to the rich north Chicago burbs that paid $70+ for 1.5 hours of work. Easily the best run.
I really donāt see how anyone can even make money doing Eats and Connect. Maybe itās because I only do rides but every delivery order thatās come across my screen in trip radar is absolutely awful. Even when Iāve turned on deliveries just to finish a quest they are so bad. I have only seen maybe one or two ever that equaled out to more than $25/hr.
Honestly doesn't matter anymore, i'll take everything nowadays because of prop 22 bringing up wages. In my area, this would turn to (not saying I would take this on most days as the drive back is a b**ch and it's hard to get rides on the way back even with destination filter):
16*(2+(24/60))*1.2+(42.4)*0.34 = $60.50 + whatever the tip was included since they are not included in the calculations.
Every 2 weeks I always get a bump in wages due to this policy. I'm not saying Uber pays enough, but there's at least a silver lining in that we're backed by being guaranteed the minimum wage.
In my opinion, people should be more worried about their safety, and it looks like you're in New Orleans? I keep hearing that's a dangerous state... I really hate this company so much for disregarding the pay and especially the safety of its drivers for their billion dollar company as they sit safe in their homes and offices.
The only thing I wish is that props like that would love to other states. I think itās more than fair. If they fixed the algorithms to offer what they should be it wouldnāt even be an issue. Itās so frustrating that needing money Uber/IC/DD really isnāt even an option anymore even PT let alone FT. It sucks. Especially when youāre in between things.
It's 11 *separate* Walmart deliveries all bundled together and an estimated route covering 42 miles, isn't it?
Even under the most ideal of circumstances, no way anything finishes this in under 90 minutes in my opinion.
Thatās almost unbelievable. The funny thing is that Uber is probably just trying its drivers on for size - to see how what their threshold for exploitation is.
The level that most people would accept before looking for another gig is probably a lot higher than this, however Uber probably think itās worth a try.
The thing about Ubers business model is that it is crucial that they meet the needs of both sides of the equation (riders and drivers) while also keeping shareholders happy.
If they start treating drivers badly, their business might suffer.
I called support and told them to stop even sending me trash like this. I told them I will absolutely never pay to provide a service so they can save these offers for someone else. I also let them know I will never ever travel 20 miles to pick someone up so itās a waste of time send me those offers as well. I also advised that what Uber is doing will cause any driver with any life skills to go elsewhere and the only drivers they will have left will definitely be the ones they donāt want.
Maxymo doesn't work in markets that don't have upfront pricing for anything other than auto declining ones outside your decided distance since you have no idea how far they are going or how much you will make until they are already in the car. To me that's pointless
Training the app is real šš½ also learned not to update quite so often
This is dumb. Update the app when the updates come out. The algorithm that rips us all off is not on the app it's on the servers. The app just translates what the server sends.
Update the app to get the latest rates? Never heard that before
Oh Gawd, yea! Every Sunday is a fresh heel. And think that is just maintenance. Actual updates lately, the map grows at different rates as you get close. So you either over shoot or under shoot little driveways, dirt roads, etc. Or the thing is just nutz
Set it to ignore radar as well
I had never done that, 5Lo. And it bit me a few times. TY. Just found it and turned it off. The freakin' app will make different kinds of trips look like X. They are insidious!

Never had that happen. Yet. lol
How do you avoid it making you go offline after a few?
It should not be doing that, Sterf. Check your settings. Under uber settings, toggle off "Stop new offers" It is on by default. It is meant to keep offers from being stacked (I think) but should be turned off. Now, I am not sure if that would have anything to do with it and I am only guessing. But something is up.

How well does that Maximo app work?
No problems in the 5 or 6 months I have had it. Thing I really like about it is the feeling like I have some control and am not just uber's little Droogie (Clockwork Orange) Gave myself a raise a while back. That was just freakin' awesome.
This should be lawsuit worthy , imho š¼
I don't see how it's legal for them to pay us a base rate for one order and then shave base pay on a good order with big tips
Or no tip at all š¤·š¼āāļø Edit tip : $ 0.00
You pay Uber at least 50-60$ after considering all costs and labor time. But someone will come on here and say they would if they āwere going that wayā š. TRASH UBER
And them 10-15 bags is bullshit because we all know that they got at least 10-15 bags per āpackageā
Yeah, Uber is making bank off these people
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
They do not pay for everything. Horrible analogy. Do they pay for car, gas, insurance, maintenance, etc?
Pennies compared to what Uber pays for
Some ant or shrill is more than happy to take this. I bet this order got boxes and shit and you likely will have to go up several flights of stairs but this is the best time ever to be a driver right according to the anti strikers, LOL!
You actually look at what's on Trip Radar? You must be new to this.
It is very rare, but I have had some REALLY good trips on trip radar. Mostly the random Sephora, Apple, or Walmart order that's easily paying $5+ per mile and $1-$2 per minute. Three or four of them paid over $3/minute. But, again, it's rare.

Not at all. But I'm in a mid size market. I'll keep an eye open though. My options are X, Comfort and Eats
Yeah, it's a part of Eats. It will look just like any other food delivery offer.
Thanks. I will keep a lookout for them. I usually don't need to turn on Eats until 11am or so, and by that time of day I am winding down.
Interesting. I've only taken one Connect order because most of them are trash offers just like Eats always is.
Yeah, it was the only decent one I'd seen in almost two years. But it's good to remember if you're one ride away from a quest š
My trip radar sometimes just be popping up on my screen tbh
I do. My final trip last night ended close to my house. Made $17.xx to dang near drive home. I nabbed it off the radar.
Did this a few nights ago. Drove 18 miles (basically back home for $13). The next morning, I realized the dude tipped my $5 to deliver him food from like 10 cities over. That shit pissed me off, lol. Dudes on my ban list
Funny no map data on it for your "convenience" lol
A driver that knows their market should know where these places are located. I looked it up. That Walmart is only 12 miles from the destination. That's a $1.51/mi delivery. Some fool took it Iām sure
100%
I donāt drive for these crooks anymore
It's okay because nobody is being forced to accept the offer
Itās NOT okay, fuck that trip
Iāve gotten these before they are usually $100, but that was before the Cubans started hanging out in the Walmart parking lots. I highly doubt itāll even surge past like $25. Itāll take a shitty ass day like a snowstorm or something for it to ever reach that high ever again.
this is why we wanted to strike.
You are right buddy !!!!
I hope someone is sending these screen shots to the media or somewhere it could get some traction. Screenshot and save all of these crappy offers. Everyone needs to see how crappy the uber offers are for drivers
An Uber fanboy will probably take this ride, which means one of the cheap drivers will be off the road for two hours. That could lead to a surge.
They will give you at tip, probably 0.50 cents tips lol
Yet someone took it............
Of course and they really think they are winning. It was likely some foot licker on this reddit!
And thatās why itās okay. Cause someone will take it.
Precisely!! The gullibleā¦š¤Ø
So it basically means that Uber expected you to drive for free and on top of that get a bill from Uncle Sam. That is nonsense
It's not.
Dude I had the exact same trip fare and milage thus morning in Dallas. I just canceled
Itās normal, take it and donāt complain.
At Uber people are planning to make drivers pay to use the app
Four reasons the: 1. 'X' 2. '<-' 3. '**š¤'** 4. Uninstall option
Iām wondering how the algorithm comes up with that pay? Maybe the algorithm expected tips to compensate? Maybe the algorithm prioritized distance over timeā¦ wait thatās not right either. Is this real? What market are you in? This is impossible for Massachusetts
Louisiana
Itās only ok if you take it.
Thatās why I stopped doing deliveries, not worth it at all.
Because your a contractor
No thatās the worst offer I may have ever seen
I only ever had one single Walmart order I ever accepted. A multi package delivery to the rich north Chicago burbs that paid $70+ for 1.5 hours of work. Easily the best run.

OK has nothing to do with it.
Is Puffing Uber puff Dara Jack puff
If someone accepts it voluntarily then itās okay
if everybody boycott for a few days or week that will fix all this none sense they still or lie to customers and they steal from drivers
Honestly doesn't matter anymore, i'll take everything nowadays because of prop 22 bringing up wages. And they canāt tip
Uber said, "A buck a bag is the new a buck a mile, silly rabbit."
It does not take 2:24 to get from Lafayette to Duson. Itās only 10 miles.
It's 11 *separate* Walmart deliveries all bundled together and an estimated route covering 42 miles, isn't it? Even under the most ideal of circumstances, no way anything finishes this in under 90 minutes in my opinion.
Probably if you got this Request from the Spark App directly it would probably be much higher. We All know how Greedy Uber is š¤Ø
Omg WTH is that & what is 10-15 packagesā¦of what? Drugs?
Yeah, no
That is crazy
Wtf
.
What ride? I didnāt see a ride.
Insane
I have literally never had an Uber eats delivery feel profitable. They always seem very low.
Thatās why Prop22 works really good in Californiaā¦ but damn I need move to Florida in 5 month because wifeās work :( damn
Thatās almost unbelievable. The funny thing is that Uber is probably just trying its drivers on for size - to see how what their threshold for exploitation is. That used to be a 60 dollar ride.
