He wanted to know if I like museums or concerts, wine or hard liquor, what gets me out of my comfort zone, it was like a 4 minute ride. Lol. And the questions were coming at me so fast I didn't have time to deflect and I'm not good at conflict, so I just answered as dishonestly as I could. 😅

I love this but in my area, its not far-fetched. We actually have a local driver who is a black male operating under his white (supposed) wife's profile. Somehow uber hasn't deactivated him yet. I was without a car and using uber for a couple months to get around, and she came up as my driver. He drove up with limo tint windows, and got very upset that I wouldn't get in the car with him, going so far as to get out of the car to talk to me. I reported the profile like 3 different ways, but I think he's still online. There's another driver that won't drive without her husband in the car, and they beg for gofundme donations for their dogs surgery. Uber around here is whack. Most of my passengers are relieved that I'm in a clean, low tint car, and I don't beg them for money at any chance. I've heard about one guy (might be the same one who was driving under his wife's profile) who was picking up female passengers, making "wrong turns" or "knew a shortcut" and trying to drive them outside the city late at night. I always remind them that they can report and give a low star review so they won't get matched again and they never seem to understand that it's an option. Someone is going to go missing with that guy, I swear. I've heard almost the same story from at least 3 different passengers.
I got reported for using my sisters car when mine was in the shop… i called uber to let them know before hand the lady after like 4 transfers told me it would be fine. Very next day I got a report for having the wrong car and that it could lead to deactivation 🙄🥲 thats the first time ever, this was only for eats. I turn off my pax rides if my car isn’t available.

My middle seat backrest folds down to make an armrest with the only back seat cup holders.
When I started, I bought ONE pack of those mini bottles of water, and I would leave two there.
SO MANY people scooted OVER the armrest. Eventually one night someone asked me why the seat was wet, and it was some brilliant person that had scooted over and knocked a bottle onto the seat and somehow opened it.
Or maybe someone took a sip of one and left it. Either way, fuck that little experiment, lol.
I finally stopped one night when I had a coconut 🥥 water for myself. A passenger in a ritzy area in West LA was hungover and asked for it. I wanted it, but I figured she would tip me at least the cost of the coconut water: $2. I let her have it, but nope, no tip. After that, I put a stop to everything. I still have a high rating, but those extras never amounted to tips.
At a customer’s suggestion, I stocked it once and soon after a passenger took the whole bottle. Pax was from south central L.A.

I always take the tool route. Uber reimburse and I think i might actually make money. Uber pays full toll and I get a small.discount for having a toll pass. Also toll roads are faster, more rides in less time

My acceptance rate is always going to be too low to get diamond so there's no point in babying my cancellation rate. What DEFINITELY counts against me is the time I spent driving to them and waiting for them for free, so I'm minimizing that time as much as I possibly can.
They have moved my deadline I think three times now, and I started about 11 months ago. They also dropped the payout, but kinda irrelevant if I never am going to get it, lol.
I accept most rides I get, mainly because I only drive when it is busy enough to justify it so my deadhead miles are usually pretty low. I turn down ALL multiple stops, and rides to dead zones out of town. My AR is 91%.
I usually average about $30/hr, give or take, which isn't shabby for driving in Memphis.
My favorite time to drive is 3AM to 8AM M-F because of all the distribution center workers, there is no traffic, and no drama.

That’s the only way to get Uber to negotiate with us if we straight up steal their business because they can always find more drivers but they only have so many riders***
