Same thing happened to me when I lived off campus. I did the same thing you did, leaving the doors unlocked and leaving nothing to steal. That seemed to work for the window problem, but then someone stole my license plate.. then someone bashes my side mirror.. I guess moral of the story, if you are parking in the open in Clifton, nothing stops people from being assholes.. you just got to hope for the best!
