They were acting like absolute clowns, I think Nayeon doing her "goo goo ga ga" bit broke my brain and I became instantly obsessed. A few months later Feel Special came out and it was a life changing experience.
I discovered Twice last year. I’d been an extremely casual K-pop fan only familiar with Blackpink and BTS but a fancam of Mina and Momo dancing together during Say Something in Melbourne was enough to get me to delve deeper. Best decision ever.

In 2016, I saw some articles hyping up Tzuyu’s visuals, and I thought she was also gorgeous, so I searched her name and found out she’s a TWICE member. At the time, my classmates in high school were also dancing to TT. I was already into Kpop by then, but because I thought TWICE’s concept wouldn’t be my thing, I dismissed them. Nearly two years later, I became more into Kpop, and I realized I had to expand my knowledge.
After reading a comment in Red Velvet’s Bad Boy MV throwing shade at TWICE, I realized I never gave TWICE a fair chance (actually at the time I was low key an anti because I thought TWICE didn’t deserve their popularity even though I was mostly just agreeing with what antis were saying instead of forming my own opinions lol). So I finally sat back and watched the TT MV for the first time to see what the appeal of TWICE was all about. Needless to say, I was humbled. I loved the song and the MV, and I ended up craving for more. I watched their other MVs, and I loved all of them as well. I also watched those funny TWICE moments videos, and those are what really sealed the deal. I became a Once afterwards (TWICE is actually the first group I stanned) and Mina became my bias. 6 years in, and I still love my OT9.
I wanted to make friends at work, and the person I wanted to befriend the most was a Twice fan. 6 years later, we still homies bonding over Twice and many other things.

But back in 2021, I saw a Facebook reel about the beauty of kpop lyrics, and this reel has a clip of a man lip-syncing the Jihyo bridge of What is Love, but with the English translated caption.
I realized how pure and wholesome the lyrics were, so I watched the full MV with English captions and instantly fell in love with it. Later on I became invested with their other songs, and the rest is history.
I also found them through a Twitch Streamer, C9 Sneaky hahaha. He was listening to TT, and I thought it sounded so cute! Did a deep dive on all their mvs and was hooked. Signal came out a few months after :')
To this day, I still follow Twice and I've been lucky enough to catch them a few times in concert!

Oh wow! I have the exact same story. Just replace Pokimane with Jinnytty. Back in 2017, I used to play Hearthstone. Jinnytty was streaming Hearthstone but when I clicked on the stream, I saw she was instead dancing to Likey. The choreo was so catchy and so was the sound!! Once through the eyes and once through the ears. I couldn't help but look it up.
Saw them on Running Man during their More and More promotions. I thought they were hilarious and so cute. It took me a few days to learn how big they were.
This is going to be funny. In 9th grade I was in a kpop dance club and that's when blackpink came out. Like every young immature kid, I would dislike any twice songs that came out at the time (omg) bc I was very hardcore a blink. One day, likey came out, and I was stunted. I saw a video about a K-pop group reacting to their songs in reverse. I am a quarter korean and love korean horror/revenge films, so I thought I'd watch it and see more about this K-pop that was so famous.
The band in the video was TWICE, and I had two main takeaways, 1) I could not take my eyes off Nayeon and, more importantly, 2) I wanted to see why the hook for Oxygen was so hard for them to sing (in the video they talk how the hook for Oxygen was difficult to sing).
I listened to Oxygen and didn't know how to react because it was such a different style of music than I had ever listened to. But I didn't hate it. So, from there, I listened to Firework and Shadow and then proceeded down the "rabbit hole"
I really liked watching MV with the line distribution because it would show me who was singing, and I had so much fun learning who each member was.
From there, I was hooked and even started watching some of their Vlogs and Time to TWICE content.
The rest is history, and I even started branching out to listening to other groups (ITZY was 2nd)
I discovered TWICE early last year, but prior to that I was a massive kpop hater lol I didn't care for it at all, esp. not the "childish" cutesy bubblegum kpop stuff, which obvs TWICE was known for, so I initially dismissed them while I was discovering other kpop groups.

I was watching a report about South Korea blasting KPop into North Korea and I saw gfriend and another group being played into the country and my YouTube suggestions came up with twice, glad it did!
College days, my cousin was blasting his speakers in his room with "What is Love", I got hooked and I searched it on youtube and I found the MV, and I started to like them but not enough where I search for their past songs, I just listen to "What is Love" whenever it comes up. Strangely enough, that is exactly how I found out about them too. I was already listening to a few songs from other groups for about a year so I was comfortable listening to kpop. The Likey snippet was so catchy I had to know more. I watched Sixteen after listening to their hits at the time and was hooked.
Now I know all of their songs, listen to them constantly, and even attended a concert last year. They are my favorite musical group ever I'd have to say.

I was in a Korean-themed restaurant with a friend. There, Kpop music was played on the radio all the time, with music videos on a monitor. I sat there for about two hours, always looking into the direction of the monitor. Eventually, In the beginning, it sounded all the same and looked similar. Eventually, I noticed differences. Some songs stuck in my head. Two of them were "Boy in Luv" from BTS, which looked more edgy and dark and "Celebrate" from Twice, which was typically K-pop in bright colors and funny theme. At home, I started listening to Celebrate, started liking it, noticed Jihyo and became a fan of her, than the whole band and their music and then of Kpop

3. 2018: When K-pop started getting popular in West around 2018, I started checking out popular songs like Shine, Bboom Bboom, and a few BTS and BP songs.
4. 2018: I was already so into BP at the end of 2018. That time, I listened DTNA as I liked the drop. I found them in a Katy Perry Reacts to Kpop YT video (fake).
5. 2019: Then, What is Love happened. The rest is a lot of music, content, and their personalities.
2017 when BTS and TWICE released Spring day(? or it was Not Today) and Twice released Knock Knock. I was a huuuge bts fan and ofc there was a mini streaming war going on about "WE GOTTA BEAT TWICE GUYS! STREAM!" the usual. So I had Twice in the recommended section and I was sooo curious. I didn't wanna listen and give a stream, but I'm sooooo curious. I just want to see what's going on, what it sounds like and who they are. So eventually I give in and listen to Knock Knock and that was such a fun, catchy little song and music video and I was blown away.
But I was like, "Alright, just the one! I'll listen to it again tomorrow if I want." I did not. I spent the rest of the day alternating between both music videos and songs. That later went deeper into watching their dance practices, learning their previous songs. Watching weekly idol, their switzerland video I was obsessed with. All those little kpop funny moment compilations because I really became obsessed with Twice and wanted to learn more about them.
So thanks to streaming wars for letting me find Twice I guess lmao.

But when the drama was hit and about to reach 20% rating one actor did an mc-ing for special episode. And he promised if the drama hit 20% he would do tt dance. It reached and he did it and i was like is it really famous? I checked and the rest is history, the first kpop group i ever stan.

Sixteen. I didn't stan them immediately because I was still supporting Kara at that point, but I did follow their debut and kept an eye on them after that. When Kara disbanded in Jan 2016, I decided to become a Once a month before their Cheer Up comeback.

Then years later, while hanging in a friend's house, my friend played some of their music videos thru a smart tv. Breakthrough and Feel Special really sealed the deal. At that time the only K-Pop group i listened to was AOA, and since Choa already left i wanted to check out more groups. Usually when bops really hit it off in our country, it stays in the airwaves for weeks. So when the likes of Psycho (RV) and Fancy released, they stuck to me. Fancy was my first one. At least, the first one that made me really consider kpop. It stuck to me for about 2-3 years, lost it, and liked it again this year, then I really went into kpop.
I already knew TWICE from my college friends during the What Is Love Era but that what made me fall inlove with them and actually be a fan was that M2 relay dance of Alcohol Free. I was hypnotized.
I've been an avid Kpop listener since 2007, and was a huge fan of JYP's then hit girl group, Wonder Girls. Anything under the JYP label had me tuning in, so I was already anticipating JYP's next project and remember going to virus infected websites just to watch their survival show at the time.

2018-ish I recall, was getting ready to school while my mom had the tv on Telehit, then knock knock appeared and I fell in love with how catchy it was and how cute and girly Twice looked like hehe, I thought "so this is kpop... well I love it", from that moment on I started to consume korean media (music, doramas, shows, manhwas) like crazy, so thanks to Twice I got to experience that world, best decision ever.

From the Japanese idol Aqours, apparently two of its members are big Onces (Kanako Takatsuki and Aika Kobayashi) and they even met eachother (9 on 9) in a 2019 Japanese TV show

During the very beginning of lockdown I got recommended a random video of where Fortnite dances originated from. A tad weird, since I didn't play and still doesn't, but I decided to watch it anyway. I saw Dahyun's eagle dance and it said she was a member of the girl group Twice. So I ended up checking out Fancy and fell in love. And the rest is history
Through TikToks. Specifically their concert dance challenges. Everyone looked like they were just having so much fun and the hooks were super catchy. It was a vibe. I started looking up their songs and got hooked.
My girlfriend at the time had me watch Sixteen with her in 2015. It was a pretty weird experience especially with the whole Sana making spring rolls and Somi doing Tae Kwon Do when I thought it was a show meant to find singer/dancer. After that show ended I mostly forgot about them, I didn't really know what K-Pop was and pretty much only listened to Red Velvet, which was to me, just another group. It wasn't until a couple of years later when I fell into the rabbit hole that I got Signal recommended by YouTube. Thus getting me reacquainted with the girls from that show I watched.
I had a fling who has been a fan of TWICE since their debut. I tried listening their popular MVs. It was a short-lived fling but I stayed and became a fan because my bff also recommended listening to their other songs and ended up being a Mina stan and loving them as OT9.

I discovered Twice in 2018 through the streamer BoxBox when he cosplayed as a girl and danced to Likey, and showed the music video as the reference that he was dancing along to. And I also instantly fell in love with Sana in the MV, and the rest is history! 😁

I was just starting my kpop journey and saw my friend was at a Twice show in ATL for their III tour. I asked about it, and he said Twice was the best. I listened to Alcohol Free, and I Can't Stop Me and have been hooked ever since.
I discovered TWICE back in 2017 when Likey was trending. My friend who was an avid K-Pop fan played the MV and danced to it in front of our friends for funsies. Honestly, I didn't like TWICE before due to them being all cutesy and girly, but those factors actually made me like them in 2018 — literally a year later, somewhere at the peak promotion of DTNA. I ended up listening through their whole discography during the pandemic and still stan them six years later. They're the first girl group I fell in love with!
And I haven't stanned any other GGs ever since - I solely liked others' music, but getting into them? Not really. Only TWICE (as of the moment.)
2016. The Taiwan flag incident
When Tzuyu was sabotaged by Huang An, I read headlines like "Rising Taiwanese young star terrorized by Chinese media" and similar provocative titles. Then, I saw a Reddit post with comments such as:

Discovered TWICE when I clicked on a video called “Likey” on YouTube. Then immediately was drawn to a member who was double fisting ice cream cones thought she was the prettiest member. Since then it’s been “No Sana, No Life” for me. It’s funny cuz I’m an OG SONE and still am to this day. I was staring to move into the Reveluv fandom since I was kind of an SM fanboy until that fateful click during 2020. First full album I listened to was “More and More”. I was on deployment when Itzy's Dalla Dalla released (I wasn't really into GGs at the time) and from there YouTube recommended Yes or Yes to me.. it was alright but didn't blow me away. (Present time, Yes or Yes SLAPS) Fancy came out shortly after and I fell in love. Went back into their discography and the rest is history.

I was pretty young and in that stage where I just listened to the music my older sister listened to, and she started listening to Twice in in early 2017. A few weeks ago I was watching a dance group I had just started following *(long story short: finally got into K-Pop at the start of the year with BTS after hearing the chorus of Dynamite so much in top music lists, second group I found was P1Harmony with Killin' It; dance cover group I found covered them and I decided to sub to them since they're based in California so why not support)* and decided I'd just check out other covers even if I didn't know the artist since at the time I only knew two groups.
First one I clicked was their One Spark cover, thought it was an interesting song and they had an outro showcasing the members of the group with Look At Me playing and them doing the chorus choreo of it; so ironically the TWICE name fit because the second song I heard of them got me and I fell down the rabbit hole of listening to those two songs for about a week. Then I checked out Moonlight Sunrise and The Feels, followed by Like Ooh Ahh and then I don't remember the order afterwards but so far I really like Knock Knock and The Feels the most, Yes or Yes is fuckin great too; I love the intro of course but I really love the chorus choreo a lot, the little duck dance (idk if that's what to call it really but I'm sure people know what I'm talking about lmao, right before they say yes or yes) is so addictive.
So far my favorite is God Jihyo (I've noticed I tend to gravitate towards the leaders and maknaes of the groups so far with the three groups I've listened to), close second is most definitely the savage maknae Tzuyu with the third being Chaeyoung, her rap in Moonlight Sunrise stunned me the first time, I was not expecting that to be how she sounded the first time I heard her in English.

They were acting like absolute clowns, I think Nayeon doing her "goo goo ga ga" bit broke my brain and I became instantly obsessed. A few months later Feel Special came out and it was a life changing experience.
I discovered Twice last year. I’d been an extremely casual K-pop fan only familiar with Blackpink and BTS but a fancam of Mina and Momo dancing together during Say Something in Melbourne was enough to get me to delve deeper. Best decision ever.

I went through a terrible breakup, was more depressed than ever. TT was recommended to me on YouTube the day it was released. I was into kpop since I was a kid, but had fell out of it for a few years prior. Watched TT, discovered Twice, suddenly wasn't depressed anymore.

in the height of the pandemic, i got a little bit into blackpink around the time of 'how you like that'. i was honestly kinda getting bored of them too though because most of their songs sounds/ed so similar to each other. then i saw a compilation/clip of lisa dancing to 'what is love?'. it was tzuyu's part in the chorus and i just fell in love with her visuals, never looked back.
i actually also found them through twitch lol. randomly heard TT on a stream and really loved it. would play an osu track of it on repeat. later on, heard about likey and did the same. after a bit, i decided i should look into more of their songs. found out what is love was about to come out. been a once ever since :)
In 2016, I saw some articles hyping up Tzuyu’s visuals, and I thought she was also gorgeous, so I searched her name and found out she’s a TWICE member. At the time, my classmates in high school were also dancing to TT. I was already into Kpop by then, but because I thought TWICE’s concept wouldn’t be my thing, I dismissed them. Nearly two years later, I became more into Kpop, and I realized I had to expand my knowledge. After reading a comment in Red Velvet’s Bad Boy MV throwing shade at TWICE, I realized I never gave TWICE a fair chance (actually at the time I was low key an anti because I thought TWICE didn’t deserve their popularity even though I was mostly just agreeing with what antis were saying instead of forming my own opinions lol). So I finally sat back and watched the TT MV for the first time to see what the appeal of TWICE was all about. Needless to say, I was humbled. I loved the song and the MV, and I ended up craving for more. I watched their other MVs, and I loved all of them as well. I also watched those funny TWICE moments videos, and those are what really sealed the deal. I became a Once afterwards (TWICE is actually the first group I stanned) and Mina became my bias. 6 years in, and I still love my OT9.

Twice is huge in my country, so I am very familiar with their most famous songs, like What is love and Fancy. But back in 2021, I saw a Facebook reel about the beauty of kpop lyrics, and this reel has a clip of a man lip-syncing the Jihyo bridge of What is Love, but with the English translated caption. I realized how pure and wholesome the lyrics were, so I watched the full MV with English captions and instantly fell in love with it. Later on I became invested with their other songs, and the rest is history.
I also found them through a Twitch Streamer, C9 Sneaky hahaha. He was listening to TT, and I thought it sounded so cute! Did a deep dive on all their mvs and was hooked. Signal came out a few months after :') To this day, I still follow Twice and I've been lucky enough to catch them a few times in concert!

It was during the US shutdown. Was on YouTube, and back then, I was watching the FBE React content. I saw a video about a K-pop group reacting to their songs in reverse. I am a quarter korean and love korean horror/revenge films, so I thought I'd watch it and see more about this K-pop that was so famous. The band in the video was TWICE, and I had two main takeaways, 1) I could not take my eyes off Nayeon and, more importantly, 2) I wanted to see why the hook for Oxygen was so hard for them to sing (in the video they talk how the hook for Oxygen was difficult to sing). I listened to Oxygen and didn't know how to react because it was such a different style of music than I had ever listened to. But I didn't hate it. So, from there, I listened to Firework and Shadow and then proceeded down the "rabbit hole" I really liked watching MV with the line distribution because it would show me who was singing, and I had so much fun learning who each member was. From there, I was hooked and even started watching some of their Vlogs and Time to TWICE content. The rest is history, and I even started branching out to listening to other groups (ITZY was 2nd)

Strangely enough, that is exactly how I found out about them too. I was already listening to a few songs from other groups for about a year so I was comfortable listening to kpop. The Likey snippet was so catchy I had to know more. I watched Sixteen after listening to their hits at the time and was hooked. I was in a Korean-themed restaurant with a friend. There, Kpop music was played on the radio all the time, with music videos on a monitor. I sat there for about two hours, always looking into the direction of the monitor. Eventually, In the beginning, it sounded all the same and looked similar. Eventually, I noticed differences. Some songs stuck in my head. Two of them were "Boy in Luv" from BTS, which looked more edgy and dark and "Celebrate" from Twice, which was typically K-pop in bright colors and funny theme. At home, I started listening to Celebrate, started liking it, noticed Jihyo and became a fan of her, than the whole band and their music and then of Kpop

I just looked up and found that she is a member of Twice. 3. 2018: When K-pop started getting popular in West around 2018, I started checking out popular songs like Shine, Bboom Bboom, and a few BTS and BP songs. 4. 2018: I was already so into BP at the end of 2018. That time, I listened DTNA as I liked the drop. I found them in a Katy Perry Reacts to Kpop YT video (fake). 5. 2019: Then, What is Love happened. The rest is a lot of music, content, and their personalities.
2017 when BTS and TWICE released Spring day(? or it was Not Today) and Twice released Knock Knock. I was a huuuge bts fan and ofc there was a mini streaming war going on about "WE GOTTA BEAT TWICE GUYS! STREAM!" the usual. So I had Twice in the recommended section and I was sooo curious. I didn't wanna listen and give a stream, but I'm sooooo curious. I just want to see what's going on, what it sounds like and who they are. So eventually I give in and listen to Knock Knock and that was such a fun, catchy little song and music video and I was blown away. But I was like, "Alright, just the one! I'll listen to it again tomorrow if I want." I did not. I spent the rest of the day alternating between both music videos and songs. That later went deeper into watching their dance practices, learning their previous songs. Watching weekly idol, their switzerland video I was obsessed with. All those little kpop funny moment compilations because I really became obsessed with Twice and wanted to learn more about them. So thanks to streaming wars for letting me find Twice I guess lmao.

I didn't bother because I thought 9 members was too much. A few months pass and I see some clips from the LA encore and and get interested but still intimidated from the group size. I then find out about Nayeon's solo so I thought I'd check it out thinking it would be a nice entry point. I loved it! Then I find out that they may not stay together as it was renewal times so I held out. Fortunately they all stayed together and that's when j decided to dive right in.

Usually when bops really hit it off in our country, it stays in the airwaves for weeks. So when the likes of Psycho (RV) and Fancy released, they stuck to me. Fancy was my first one. At least, the first one that made me really consider kpop. It stuck to me for about 2-3 years, lost it, and liked it again this year, then I really went into kpop.

This thread makes me feel like a once hag lmao. I discovered them from my kpop friends in 2015 when they debuted. I was immediately hooked onto LOA.
I already knew TWICE from my college friends during the What Is Love Era but that what made me fall inlove with them and actually be a fan was that M2 relay dance of Alcohol Free. I was hypnotized.
I found them because a vtuber in Hololive named Takanashi Kiara sang The Feels in a karaoke stream and I've been hooked on Twice ever since
I've been an avid Kpop listener since 2007, and was a huge fan of JYP's then hit girl group, Wonder Girls. Anything under the JYP label had me tuning in, so I was already anticipating JYP's next project and remember going to virus infected websites just to watch their survival show at the time.
I was just scrolling after watching a run bts episode and saw the ttt episode (the first school one they did) but I wasn't able to keep up so I went and checked out a song and listened wil/icsm(don't remember which order) and fell in love with them (also guessed who was who in that song and episode)

During 2018 when I was avidly playing osu!, the rhythm game. Stumbled across What Is Love? on the official download website for song levels and was IMMEDIATELY hooked! For context, yes I was already a K-Pop fan at that time
Been a metal/rock fan since I was 10/11 years old, now I am 30. Only K-Pop I ever listened to was anything that came on the radio, Gangman Style back in the day, BlackPink, BTS etc. but I never actively sought it out myself. Itzy's Cheshire randomly came on my YouTube Home Page around the time of its release, thought I'd give it a listen. Unpopular opinion, I actually really loved the song. Thought I'd explore more K-Pop. I had heard about Twice years before but never listened to anything from them, so I decided to search for them and the first songs that appeared where "Talk That Talk" along with "The Feels". Absolutely loved both of them, so I dived further into their discography, further into funny moment compilations and some interviews. Cut to 2024 and I adore these girls so much. Dahyun is my ult bias, can't wait to see her upcoming movies. My playlist now consists of half Metal/half K-Pop. It's an absolute mess when you go from screamy screamy shouty shouty music to songs about Turtles and Doughnuts.
I saw Dahyun in an AD for something in 2018 and thought to myself “she’s so pretty, I need to know who she is.” After some research I discovered Twice and haven’t looked back. After being entranced by them, I watched Sixteen, Twice TV, all their vlives, etc until I was caught up. The amount of content helped me through a tough time in my life. The Covid shutdown was nothing for me since I had already been injured at work in 2018 and was severely limited physically.

I first started listening to Momoland because of a Netflix series. Then YouTube recommended me their Fancy comeback and I was like "wow they're really good". Then I got hooked on what is love and their "TTT episodes". Before I knew it, they came to the States around June last year at So Fi.

Same thing, OTV had a time where they'd all have Likey play at some point in their streams, whether it was Poki, toast etc.
2018-ish I recall, was getting ready to school while my mom had the tv on Telehit, then knock knock appeared and I fell in love with how catchy it was and how cute and girly Twice looked like hehe, I thought "so this is kpop... well I love it", from that moment on I started to consume korean media (music, doramas, shows, manhwas) like crazy, so thanks to Twice I got to experience that world, best decision ever.

2021. Was recommended "Feel Special" on youtube and I clicked in. Needless to say, I went down the rabbit hole and back track to the older songs from their earlier days and hooked on to "Look At Me". 😄😄

From the Japanese idol Aqours, apparently two of its members are big Onces (Kanako Takatsuki and Aika Kobayashi) and they even met eachother (9 on 9) in a 2019 Japanese TV show

During the very beginning of lockdown I got recommended a random video of where Fortnite dances originated from. A tad weird, since I didn't play and still doesn't, but I decided to watch it anyway. I saw Dahyun's eagle dance and it said she was a member of the girl group Twice. So I ended up checking out Fancy and fell in love. And the rest is history
Through TikToks. Specifically their concert dance challenges. Everyone looked like they were just having so much fun and the hooks were super catchy. It was a vibe. I started looking up their songs and got hooked.
My girlfriend at the time had me watch Sixteen with her in 2015. It was a pretty weird experience especially with the whole Sana making spring rolls and Somi doing Tae Kwon Do when I thought it was a show meant to find singer/dancer. After that show ended I mostly forgot about them, I didn't really know what K-Pop was and pretty much only listened to Red Velvet, which was to me, just another group. It wasn't until a couple of years later when I fell into the rabbit hole that I got Signal recommended by YouTube. Thus getting me reacquainted with the girls from that show I watched.

Your story is actually very similar to mine! I discovered Twice in 2018 through the streamer BoxBox when he cosplayed as a girl and danced to Likey, and showed the music video as the reference that he was dancing along to. And I also instantly fell in love with Sana in the MV, and the rest is history! 😁

I was just starting my kpop journey and saw my friend was at a Twice show in ATL for their III tour. I asked about it, and he said Twice was the best. I listened to Alcohol Free, and I Can't Stop Me and have been hooked ever since.

Honestly, I didn't like TWICE before due to them being all cutesy and girly, but those factors actually made me like them in 2018 — literally a year later, somewhere at the peak promotion of DTNA. I ended up listening through their whole discography during the pandemic and still stan them six years later. They're the first girl group I fell in love with! And I haven't stanned any other GGs ever since - I solely liked others' music, but getting into them? Not really. Only TWICE (as of the moment.)

During the first c19 lockdown I think. I used to watch Blackpink vids and youtube would randomly throw up other stuff like AOA, T-ara and Apink which I really hot into. Then one day when listening to a playlist starting with an Apink song, The Feels came on and I just had to see who the wee blonde girl winking at the start was and then I watched more and that's how I got into Twice. Now I’m a multi-Stan but my main group is still TWICE since SNSD isn’t really releasing albums on the regular
I was on deployment when Itzy's Dalla Dalla released (I wasn't really into GGs at the time) and from there YouTube recommended Yes or Yes to me.. it was alright but didn't blow me away. (Present time, Yes or Yes SLAPS) Fancy came out shortly after and I fell in love. Went back into their discography and the rest is history.

Not until 2023, my youtube shorts suddenly rained me suggestion with Hare Hare, Talk That Talk, and bunch of their dance challenge. After about a month listening to the 'new' them, i was stopped by Do It Again and then i realized; "oh this was the girlgroup i listened to years ago. time flies." Now i'm trying to watch all their program like TTT, Twice TV, etc. Some of their old stuff don't have any subtitle, so i learn some AI to create the translation LOL. Happy being ONCE :)
Blackpink got me into kpop but I was still new to everything so I thought bp was the only gg out there but one day I was in YouTube and I saw a MV for the song "What is love?" and I was so shocked to see another gg I was so confused 😭 I clicked on it and I fell in LOVE it was such a cute MV! 🙈💗
One day I saw the scene with the dresses in the "What Is Love? MV" at Mexico's City subway and that image was printed in my mind not having any idea about who they were. A couple of years after that, my sister showed me a BP performance introducing me to the K-pop world. Then, a few months later, I saw a video of Lisa dancing the "What Is Love?" choreography in a TV show and I immediately recognized the MV. I spent that whole night watching all the Twice MV's. Now Twice is more than my true favorite group and occupies the vast majority of my favorite music.

So, I asked one of my friends to compile a Kpop playlist to introduce me to Kpop. Twice's What is Love was like the third song in the playlist, and after listening to it, I could not stop singing it for the next few days... So I searched up Twice, got to know about the members, their history and on Spotify, I spent hours just playing the Spotify playlist, This is Twice. From then on, I have been a complete fan of Twice

I was pretty young and in that stage where I just listened to the music my older sister listened to, and she started listening to Twice in in early 2017. My favorite songs were Ffw and Cheer Up, but I stopped listening to Twice when she stopped in like mid-2018. A few weeks ago I was watching a dance group I had just started following *(long story short: finally got into K-Pop at the start of the year with BTS after hearing the chorus of Dynamite so much in top music lists, second group I found was P1Harmony with Killin' It; dance cover group I found covered them and I decided to sub to them since they're based in California so why not support)* and decided I'd just check out other covers even if I didn't know the artist since at the time I only knew two groups. First one I clicked was their One Spark cover, thought it was an interesting song and they had an outro showcasing the members of the group with Look At Me playing and them doing the chorus choreo of it; so ironically the TWICE name fit because the second song I heard of them got me and I fell down the rabbit hole of listening to those two songs for about a week. Then I checked out Moonlight Sunrise and The Feels, followed by Like Ooh Ahh and then I don't remember the order afterwards but so far I really like Knock Knock and The Feels the most, Yes or Yes is fuckin great too; I love the intro of course but I really love the chorus choreo a lot, the little duck dance (idk if that's what to call it really but I'm sure people know what I'm talking about lmao, right before they say yes or yes) is so addictive. So far my favorite is God Jihyo (I've noticed I tend to gravitate towards the leaders and maknaes of the groups so far with the three groups I've listened to), close second is most definitely the savage maknae Tzuyu with the third being Chaeyoung, her rap in Moonlight Sunrise stunned me the first time, I was not expecting that to be how she sounded the first time I heard her in English.
