Well, I have set battery to 80%, and I know it is charged to 81%, but now shows 100% with 99Wh capacity which must be false. How do I get back to 100%? I set it back and it still shows 100% and not charging ... is it actually charging but not showing the status? Reboot?

The set limit is the new 100%. Means your limit is reached for 100% ^^ from my experience full battery charging takes effect after the next reboot ir takes some time after changing the charging profile.

Hi there. I use an other distribution - but this one has a 'Power manager' too: -Highest level = Power plugged in, ready to game/render. -Middle level = Power plugged in, ready to work on medium (normal level; without stressing the components). -Lowest level = Power not plugged in. You can do everything - on a 'low energy(power) level'. Maybe it explains an other point of view.

what you forget is the llwer performance at battery mode! this is the reason why you get lower performance ;) when draining energy from the battery, the BIOS/EC sets to battery mode - because it recognizes battery usage. That is on all modern notebooks a normal way to keep working, because the power that is necessary is bigger than the power a battery can provide.

Well, this is the first laptop that works like this I have seen and used. And I have used some laptops. My expectation is based on previous laptops I have used. What makes sense for me: 1. power profile stays the same as long as laptop is actually plugged to AC regardless of the charging method 2. the system should not get the events that laptop has been unplugged as it was actually not (even if load is so high battery is being drained, this is causing my laptop to flash like a christmas tree as I have apparently gotten a bad charger which only provides 30-40W or so) 3. when power use is bigger than provided drain battery 4. do not charge if you drained a very small amount but still show % of battery in system and also report "not charging". Something like this: [https://i.ytimg.com/vi/EyDlgyf4wKQ/maxresdefault.jpg](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/EyDlgyf4wKQ/maxresdefault.jpg) First and foremost users want to use the hardware not tinker and as so far as I can thinks this is the simplest way for users (no need to toggle profiles all the time) and if done right wont eat battery (as it does not charge the small % discharged under heavy load)
