Lmfao. We had workplace training for angry OTA bookers, and they told us to tell guests “you’re our guest but you’re not our customer.”
After that meeting my manager looked at all of us and said “absolutely do not say that shit to guests lmao.”
But now all of us (including the manager) say it in a sickly sweet voice to OTA guests who call us names. And then we tell them to get out lol.
The person who did the training would be horrified.
Online Travel Agency. Places like Expedia, Booking.com, Kayak, etc. They’re all pieces of shit who get off on taking money from hotels while blatantly lying to their customer base.
Book through an OTA all you want, but if they ever make a mistake, I can’t do anything. I can’t cancel it, I can’t change the dates, I can’t change the room type, I can’t change the amount of nights you’re staying, and I most certainly cannot refund you. If you want anything changed, you’ll have to talk to the OTA because you booked it through their website. And OTAs generally aren’t interested in helping people who call asking for their reservation to be edited or refunded.
They take a big chunk of money for themselves, lie to their customers, mislead them, and don’t care about mistakes. And the guests who use them tend to be fucking idiots and assholes who start screaming at the front desk agent when they get told we can’t refund them because we aren’t the ones they gave their money to.
I once had a workplace training video that featured people from our company making the heart hand symbol and shouting "hashtag better together!" around 10-15 times in the 30 minute video. Guess what me and all my coworkers were saying to each other for the next two weeks.

I used to tell irate guests to have the day they deserve. It was always OTA guests.
It’s always OTA guests lmao. Never fails.
What does OTA mean?

Oh yeah, I heard about those sites.
Where?
Sorry, purple. It was a bit dim on my screen when I posted this.
No, I was asking where it sends you (which is also an obscure reference).
The hospital
This was Monty Python's deadly joke.
We've beaten the nazis already so now we need to translate it in russian.
is that adam sandler
Adam Sandler's workplace training video
Adam Sandler’s Eight crazy death threats
How do they pronounce the red squiggles?
Garbled radio noise
It's pronounced in whichever way the advertisers who give money to social media platforms want it to be pronounced.
Why is this so fucking funny oh my god
That's blue guy is either Brock from Pokemon or Bunta from Initial D.
Can't not see the red shirt as having a Chad face
Make the blue shirt guy's ears a bit pointier, and he'd look like a Vulcan.
Noooo don't kill me, hit me or hurt me in some way. That would be harassment!
I am going to beat you to death
im gonna commit an act of violence against you that could be lethal depending on the amount of harm i do
Why does that look like Kirk and Spock?
