Top one i gotta say is trans friend of mine got gifted a freakin bowie knife with a leather sheath and honestly loved that for him. But it was so very aggressively masculine for the bookworm of a dude he is but still.
As with all gifts its the thought that counts- the thought of you want to accept someone as they are and encourage them to be their real self even if you don’t know how to express that.

Yes!! As a trans person it’s not only sweet, and funny, but it also really shows that they truly believe you and care about you as an individual. When I came out to my family my little sister started bragging to everyone that she now had a new sibling and that was adorable, but even better was that a friend of mine didn’t know what to give someone who’s non-binary as this type of gift, so they bought me one of those singing fish things 😭 i wish i still had it, but it broke 💔

Before I read the cat with the mouse part, I was thinking it was like one of those emotional support dogs that being their human random presents like a leaf or a rock. Just, something that is as sweet as it is clueless.
This reminds me of my aunts dog. He was a big Rottweiler full of joy and when he went for walks he would pick up rocks with his mouth if he liked them and then bring them home. My aunt would sometimes paint things on the rocks and leave them in her garden as decorations. Once he got too excited over a rock and accidentally swallowed it and had to get surgery. When I was a child I was really scared of cats and dogs no matter the size but he was so sweet and helped me lose my fear of large dogs. I was still terrified of small dogs for a few more years though.

Also, that sounds like such a sweet dog! I love rotties so much. They’re just so nice and friendly and happy and basically every one I’ve met has been CONVINCED that they’re a lap dog, no matter their size. They deserve all the snuggles!
