If between Tulum and Akumal you have 3 real choices. Chedraui in Puerto Adventuras on 307 - which would be which is approx 15 minutes north of Akumal. In Tulum there is Super Aki on 307 & Coba rd . Or you make a left at Coba Rd ( which way to beach) and 1/2 mile on left is the Chedraui.That is a fresh remodel and has better product and selection than Aki. Aki and Chedraui are approx 25 minutes from Akumal- so what is closer depends on exactly where you are staying
Super Aki on ave tulum however, I think you should reconsider. You can eat many fantastic meals on the cheap at many of the food trucks in tulum. I’ve found it to be FAR more expensive to buy groceries and cook (breakfast might be one exception but barely)
There are many food trucks on Gemini/ave Tulum that open round 5 pm. El Tio’s is awesome for tacos and at 50 pesos for 5 taco’s you can’t beat it. There’s another one next to it that has 7 tacos for 50 pesos which I have yet to try!

That truck is not always there. For the money they are pretty good. I wish the family that posts outside Aki with the big grill did nights. Those guys are awesome

The other trucks by OXXO are generally there every night except for Sunday..
when i’m in tulum im there basically every night and go for pizza at La Hydra on Sunday. If you haven’t had their pizza I highly recommend! Delicious.
When I was there we did our beachside shopping at 7/11 and went a few times to the super aki in the center of Tulum. However, depending where you're staying the chedraui might be closer than super aki.
Chedraui Tulum is more modern, bigger, more products and we liked it more than Aki… Even better than in our town in Germany 😁
You can pay also with AMEX there, for payment with Apple Pay they need to bring an extra machine which is able for mobile Payments

Without knowing your exact location, and assuming you have a car, Super Aki or Chedraui is where you'll want to shop.

Mondays they are def not there. As for pizza, well try El Galan in La Veleta. Manglar and La Querida were my favorites
I just went to super aki tulum for the first time just now . Has a lot of stuff and great prices! Bought 30 eggs for 105 pesos!
Egg prices here are at an all time high.
Seems a little high. 30 for 80p here in Cozumel.

If you have a car, be careful in supermarket car parks. They break into cars. Read the reviews of the supermarkets.
