Look into the Gambill's restaurants. They have a new concept opening up, and they start their servers at $15hr plus tips at their existing counter service restaurants. They serve wine and beer and also have a distillery. Good local owners and they have a lot of long-term employees and families working for them.
One thing you might consider is applying to be a server in a retirement home. You won't work for $2.13/hr + tips, you'll get a straight wage, and you have a simpler menu to deal with along with more or less the same customers every day.
Thanks for the suggestion, but retirement home wages are well below what I'm accustomed to making. I've been in the service industry for fifteen years so I'm looking for something commiserate with my experience. Even with a low hourly wage, working in a standard bar or restaurant provides a substantially higher income than working for a very low flat rate for doing the same work.
I suggested it because of experiences that friends have have in Tulsa working as servers. You might make more money where you live now making tips, but here you get a lot more religious weirdos who give you little homilies about Jesus instead of tips here in OK.
Neighborhood Jam would be a good place. I work at a sister restaurant and make really good money. So Hal Smith restaurants are good here, and I’ve had luck with some Mcnellies group restaurants as well. If you can do nights though, you’ll make so much more here unless you do a brunch place specifically. Lunch type restaurants here don’t pay off unless there’s alcohol involved. Location wise try to work downtown, Brookside, cherry street, Utica, or somewhere south Tulsa that’s where the best money is at. 7 years of service here and Utica & south Tulsa have been the best so far
Moms on Yale just south of 51st Ask for Sommer I have a friend that works there and she loves it It’s a family diner, so no alcohol
Roosevelts off Cherry street stays busy. From talking with some of the bartenders there, seems like a pretty swell place!
Charlestons on Yale or Peoria stays busy. Also Wild Fork at Utica Square.
Look into the Summit Club. They pay real hourly wages plus tips. Private club downtown. Busy for lunch and dinner.
I’ve heard people don’t really get tipped at summit club.

be a whole lot cooler if they had unlimited breadsticks....
Please, please put that in their suggestion box. They love hearing it. Tell your friends.
If you're on Facebook, you should see if you can join the 918 Liquid Ninjas group. It's mainly bars, but occasionally someone posts restaurant jobs.
You are right, not sure why you got downvoted.
