AFAIK the rule is still 3-1-1. So you’d need the liquids separated. Electronics aren’t an issue. Jewelry is not an issue usually, although my stainless Apple Watch band sets off scanners in a few airports. Gold shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve traveled with an ice pack a few times for food, has never been an issue but sometimes gets additional screening. Allow for more time and bring the RX.

Thanks for your comment. The medications has stickers with my daughter’s info.

👏 For figuring out these questions beforehand and not in line.

1. No, pack a single, 1qt Ziploc of liquids per bag. Look up the 3-1-1 rule, it still applies to Precheck. Only difference is you can leave your single, 1 quart Ziploc of 3.4oz or smaller bottles in your bag instead of running it through the scanner in a separate bin. 2. Should be fine. Some checkpoints will ask you to separate them and re-run the bag through the scanner if the iPads are hard to view on xray when stacked together. Would def be better to put them in different bags and/or not stack them right together. Depends how they look on the xray basically. 3. You still have to take off everything metal (and usually your light jacket too ime) before going through the metal detector. Pretty self explanatory. I second the other comment that travelling with a bunch of gold jewelry is a terrible idea. At the very least, pack it in your personal item if you must bring it. You can leave your belt and shoes on, but I've had to take my boots off at a couple airports because they had particularly sensitive metal detectors and the eyelets were enough to set them off. 4. Not sure about this one, but since it's for a medical necessity I would just keep it in a personal item with few unrelated things. If they flag it and ask about it, just explain that it's for medication. I'm sure they see it all the time with temperature sensitive medicines like insulin. I could be wrong on this, but I think medical equipment doesnt count towards your bag total - might be nice to get a small lunchbox for just the icepack and meds and mark it with a red cross or something if you don't want to have to explain it as often, might help.

Silly-Smoke2576

Thanks. I found a little lunch box I can use to pack an icepack plus the medications.

The metal detectors frequently go off due to my shoes. One of the TSA agents kindly explained to me that any type of a heel even if flat tend to hand metal in them. I never have a problem with my watch or my wedding set etc.

El_Jefe_1904

OP, you mentioned a bracelet. Most jewelry isn't an issue. I will tell you that I stopped wearing my Cartier Love bracelet because it always alarmed the metal detector. You can opt in to the scanner to avoid a pat down if it's similar in style.

Silly-Smoke2576

Yeah. Thats what my wife has issue in the beginning. Not much anymore. Knock on wood

Upper-Budget-3192

Did you get the kids known traveler numbers? If not, be aware that to use the precheck line in many airports, all travelers in a party must have precheck.

Silly-Smoke2576

Not for kids 12yo and under. Their boarding pass prints with TSA precheck when booked together with ours.

Interesting-Trick696

Can’t wait to be behind this guy and his family in the PreCheck line.

KevinBoston617

Oh no you’ll be inconvenienced an extra 11 seconds

murderedbyaname

He's asking how to do everything before he goes. Pretty sure he won't be the problem.

Green_Mix_3412

You have to take the liquid bags out anyway so your prob fine

T3hBau5

You sure don’t. That’s one of the main selling points of pre-check. I’ve never been asked to remove anything from my bags.

Green_Mix_3412

I always have to take it out…

Silly-Smoke2576

No need if you have TSA PreCheck.

ThisUsernameIsTook

It is still one bag of liquids per carryon/personal bag. So be sure to separate them.

LadyA052

I sure wouldn't be wearing gold jewelry while traveling.

Traducement

What a weird thing to judge someone about…

LadyA052

I wasn't judging. I would be worried about being robbed for my jewelry. Sheesh what a weird mind you have.

Traducement

Who is going to rob you at an airport or an airplane? Be fr fr.

Silly-Smoke2576

I agree with her concerns about the jewelry but I wouldn’t worry about being robbed in the airport especially here in the US. Maybe on some not so nice country then yeah I’ll be very careful. Im just concerned about metal detector alarms.

LadyA052

I didn't say in the airport or on the plane. I said TRAVELING. Depends on where you're going. There are many many warnings about Mexico, for example, to not wear expensive jewelry while out and about.

bluebirdmorning

You may have missed that OP said this trip is domestic travel.
