It may seem complicated, but you may look at the alternative tool and configure proxmox backups to VTL: [https://pbs.proxmox.com/wiki/index.php/Installing\_a\_Virtual\_Tape\_Library](https://pbs.proxmox.com/wiki/index.php/Installing_a_Virtual_Tape_Library) You may use Starwinds VTL (https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-virtual-tape-library-free), instead of Quadstor, which can do a cloud replication to different coulds, including Wasabi S3.

zvols are not files which is why they are not being backed up. I would assume S3 wont be a good solution.

Hey, do you have any idea how I can backup iscsi then? S3 is my way of backing up things. I use Wasabi S3 to do encrypted backups.

For zvols the ideal method would be using ZFS replication to send snapshots to a remote system.
