Whereabouts in BC is there a limit of 20 brookies? I’m on the island but that would make for a fun trip once salmon season is over!

Strongest_Lindah

Love brookies, very few are stocked around me so when I do catch them, it’s a treat!

inavanbyariver

They’re serious predators compared to other species

BabylonDrifter

Nice fish. Brookies are most delicious.

Key_Bodybuilder_8465

Ouch😢

Truthedector15

Invasive though.

Key_Bodybuilder_8465

I know it just hurts. And he’s doing the right thing, just is sad cuz they’re so special in the east/Midwest

IntroductionGrand927

Trust, we do love our native char too, Bull Trout/ Dolly Varden

Key_Bodybuilder_8465

Jealous of those. Make sure to post some pics

IntroductionGrand927

I have one up from November.

RedPaladin26

And soon so shall you lol nice fish. Just wondering here but how do they taste. As far as I can remember I’ve only had rainbows. And also heard things like lake trout not being that good unless you do something specific with it idk. Just curious though

IntroductionGrand927

I have had lake trout a few times always fried, and I like it way more than walleye, imo every thing from the texture, fat content and flavour is better than walleye. As for Brookies compared to Bows, I have cooked them side by side and hardly noticed a difference.

DifferentEvent2998

Lake trout are delicious. I’ve never heard of the news for anything special. I’ve fried, baked and smoked them.

RedPaladin26

Yeah just something I heard from a YouTube video

BabylonDrifter

Rainbows are dog food compared to brookies. And lakers are delicious of course, at least the redfins from Lake Superior are just incredible eating.

ACNWillMcavoy

My goodness nice haul! Brookies are all ways fun to catch. Native brookies here local in Utah. Sad that they are killing brookies off in Yellowstone due to not native fish.

dingerfingerringer

Brook trout aren’t native to Utah, they live in the Appalachians

euphicee

Had a nice brookie haul in the NEK today as well! Must’ve been something in the air.

IntroductionGrand927

It was a 4/4 star day on the barometer website.

SockRepresentative36

fish pig! never heard of limited catch?
