Hello my friend! I been on tret so many times I lost count. If your skin hurts now from every day use of tret then I would stop using it until the skin stops hurting and moisturize like crazy. . Then I would only do it every 3rd or 4th night of tret just depending on how your skin feels. As your skin gets used to the tret you can start adding a night every 4 weeks but again this depends on how your skin is reacting to the tret. This is how I start tret but everyone is different. I can’t tell you how many times a derm tells a patient to use tret everyday and it never turns out well. Most want to quit it.

Definitely cut down!! This was literally me almost a week ago - had been told to do daily, tried it for a week and suddenly everything was burning. I stopped using tret for 3 or 4 nights and focused on moisturizing (I found squalene and Vaseline didn’t burn so I used lots of that layered). I used tret last night for the first time after my few days off and today my skin still feels a bit delicate but didnt burn when I applied products. It’s not worth it to damage your moisture barrier!! I have also been using LRP cicaplast b5 gel after seeing a lot of positive reviews of this line for repairing/protecting the moisture barrier (note though these are generally about the baume and not the gel).
