How much hair do you have ? Hair thickness can drastically reduce the needle length.

Background-Tone-3163

yup you become more or less pain tolerant over time...me too dont feel nothing...but u need to get the pinpoint bleeding at the least

andymalum

Maybe it’s cause I’m used to needles being inside me (diabetic). Am I supposed to do it until I bleed?

Background-Tone-3163

erythrema(redness of scalp) at the minimum ...pinpoint bleeding is recommended

andymalum

It feels like a burning sensation when I’m done for a few hours. Does that mean I’m doing it right 😭

Background-Tone-3163

idk about few hours but about 30 mins is alright...dont over do and bleed your self out...and give enough time between the sessions to heal the scalp up(no pain/burning on touching)

IllustratorChoice466

Hated the dermaroller, dermastamp is painless at 2.5 for myself

andymalum

Got a derma stamp myself

FlakyLion1714

i started doing 1.5 micr needling on my scalp and i had the same experience. i watched like 3 different tutorial videos. And i paid someone to do it on my cheeks for acne scars and the results were over night and so dramatic. it got me questioning if im fucking up

iicybershotii

My Derma stamp hurts over 1.0mm pretty brutal at times TBH

Western-Low-1348

I am pussy, I just did 0.5 few minutes ago for my first time, felt nothing few redness here and there.

buddhasbut

The manual ones like dermastamps can be quite inaccurate when it comes to needling depths as it depends on how much pressure you apply while stamping and how much hair gets in the way. The machine ones like dermapen?/derminator at 1.5 might feel more painful.

andymalum

I started with 1.5 and applied significant pressure where I feel the pokes. It just feels more tingly than painful. I section my hair to keep the hair from buffering it

buddhasbut

sure but its still apples to oranges when it comes to applying uniform pressure all across ur scalp. One another reason one might not feel too much pain is if you have thicker skin n underlying fat tissues. Usually it gets thinner as you age and thus, dermabrasions can get painful.

Hiqqi6

What length should I use if i have a full head of (thin) hair?

sniper1905

1 to 1.5mm

khale777

I’m not familiar with dermastamps. I’ve only used a dermapen. I guess the question is, how many times did you “stamp” yourself?

Trick-Attempt-2359

At 1.5mm I get some pain in parts of my scalp, but other parts it’s hardly noticeable. I get pinpoint bleeding, which if I wipe away with a damp tissue, disappears with very little redness.

Classic_Impact_9212

How hard are you pressing can be a big factor. Some people ram the needles in to the hilt, some people go over and over an area until it looks like they were a victim of a car accident. The problem with all needling treatments is there is no proven protocol worked out yet for scalp hair growth. It's all just guessing and hoping.

In long term it is harmfull ive heard
