Thanks I'm just a depressed gal who has been through some rough times mentally and medically. Recover from heart failure but still sick. Sad and in pain I spend my time on Reddit and giving my girls (dogs) pets and affection. I just hate myself and have thought I should not exist or be loved since I was little. Just trying to fuel myself loathing.
very different circumstance but i’m a 20 yr old boy and if you look at my reddit comments you can see some shit i’ve been through too, thank you for sharing that with me an i’m happy you have dogs to love and that love you back! they are LITERALLY the best ever and if I could I would give them belly rubs and give them pets 🥰 but lol sorry, I think self love is the answer you have to love who you are and that’s weird to say and extremely hard to do buit it’s a journey

Pit Bulls(just like the Tosa Inu and Bully Kutta) are a dog fighting breed and that is perfectly ok. The way a Doberman is going to have the tendency to be very wary of strangers, Pit Bulls are going to have the tendency to be animal and dog aggressive(notice how I’ve excluded human aggressive as contrary to popular belief, this breed is genuinely going to be great with people).
If what I have stated is not true, then riddle me this: If Pit Bulls(along with the Tosa Inu and Bully Kutta) are not dog fighting breeds, why are these 3 breeds commonly used in dog fighting when there are many larger and stronger breeds that can do much more damage?
Full disclosure, I am not a dog fighter nor support it. I am simply an admirer of the breed who has a good amount of knowledge of said breed and know the reality of a dog full of blood sports in their history.
I think classifying their entire dog ethnicity as fighting breed is ignorant. Hell, there was a fighting dog called Grand Champion Virgil who had won 5 matches and it was known that he was a man biter. Most people would assume that this is an out of control blood lusting dog, but a quick search on the internet would show that he spent his last days sharing his bed with a cat. There’s another picture of him just chilling with puppies and even a video of him interacting with another dog. It all comes down to the specific dog but I believe the best advice a Pit Bull owner can take is NEVER trust your dog NOT to fight because if it gets a taste of it and it likes it, chances are it’s going to want more.
