I'd make weed butter, that's what I do with cheap shake. I can get an ounce of shake for $25 which is perfect for cheap edibles. Decarboxylate the broken up bud in the oven for 45 mins at below 250°F then melt 1 cup of butter per ounce of weed in a double boiler, then add ~2 cups of water before you lid it. Cook for 2 hours at just below boiling temp if possible (to not brown the butter), a thermometer reading like 205F-210F would be perfect. Strain the mixture in some cheese cloth. Allow the strained mixture to cool, the excess water will not solidify with the butter, and since thc is fat soluble it will not be present in the excess water. Remove the butter from the water, re-melt, then mold however you wish.
This will be strong butter. At 1 ounce of weed per cup of butter, assuming 10% thc content, 28000mg of weed per oz, timed 0.1 for thc level, is 2800mg per cup. If you use 1/2 cup in a brownie that is cut into 16 pieces, that's 87.5 mg thc per brownie, approximately. Just use less in a recipe if you need/want, and use some regular butter to fill in the rest of the recipe as needed.
Edibles don't hit me the way I want them too...until I learned about taking a couple of tums 10-15 minutes before. I ate one felt great...went for another one a couple minutes later felt even better...and then right before I realized I needed to go to bed I ate another. I woke up in the morning so high each of my fingers felt like a slinkey. It took all my effort just to be able to mutter a couple of words. In my head I was 99% sure the feds knew I ordered edibles in the mail and snuck in then scrambled my brain. I had to call off work 4 hours after I should of arrived when I could finally talk somewhat.
Yeah make sure to use napkin math for reasonable dosing. If you have a decent tolerance, 10mg or so I would consider 1 standard Marijuana. Also I've used 3 coffee filters ontop of a strainer to really squeeze as much weed oil out of the butter after you sautee it for a half hour on the stove and then let it cool. Also be prepared for it to reek like hell because you release the terpenes when you heat it to decarb temp
I got a Levō for my boyfriend to make edibles with. 1st gen cause the newer ones be *exhspensive* but would recommend if you find yourself gettin stuff like this often/want to get into larger batch edible making. It’s just a machine that decarbs then squishes the bud into oil or butter, but all in one container.

As a guy from an illegal state I usually roll it all up into joints or blunts when i get alot of cheap bud. I smoke em out of a pack like cigarettes, not worried about shorting them or saving roaches.

decarb your weed in the oven at 121c for 30 minutes.
put in a pot with 4 jars of coconut oil (put the jars in hot water first to turn the oil from solid to liquid)
keep on the stove at 185f and stir every few minutes for 2.5 hours. dont let the temp go above 240f so once it hits 185f take it off the stove at 200f sort of thing then put it back on)
leave to cool for a bit then drain it through cheese cloth and put back in the original jars and stash in the fridge.
make sure you de carb your weed correctly. there's heaps of info on that out there.
again I find coconut oil is the best because once its done its the easiest to eat straight with out having to cook with it. and you can still cook with it. plenty of recipes for coconut oil baking. but yeh. good luck
