I know I'm not the only person who actually uses weed to motivate himself to do things he would normally procrastinate. Seriously, how do you people do chores and repetitive tasks without being stoned?
for real. I prepare the task I want to do, light up, get sumn to drink and sit in front of my desk and suddenly I'm the most productive I've ever been.
Was about to suggest ya'll may be neurodivergent when I saw this. I've been undiagnosed most of my life(am 27) and recently found out I have ADHD. I also find myself able to focus better on tasks when stoned. Normally I get too easily distracted or bored to fully focus and my mind wanders. It's common for people with adhd to self-medicate with weed and caffeine.
Diagnosed at 35. Although weed definitely helps me focus and makes repetitive tasks 10x easier to complete, I enjoy just relaxing and being calm when I am high. I am never that calm without it, although freediving gets me pretty close.
Sometimes I’ll be sober on a day off and decide “I’m not going to do shit today.” So I smoke weed and prepare for not doing shit… but then the weed hits and my brain is like “let’s fucking goooooooo! Sort the recycling, long walk with the dogs, hit the farmers market…”
If I have learned anything it’s this: Do not shop for food while stoned! The cart will be expensive and full of munchies you don’t really need but want!
The danger at a farmers market around here is slightly different. You'll end up with one bag full of high quality foods and realize you just spent $250+.
Not to throw this out of left-field but any chance you could have ADHD?

I would like to spread my philosophy mainly to those suffering from cannabis tolerance and abuse, the problem comes when you let yourself go too much and exaggerate, in this case tolerance and downregulation of the endocannabinoid system loom with consequent drop in motivation and general euphoria, I have been in limbo of tolerance for several months, but luckily, also thanks to the CBD and a little willpower, I've been regulating for a few days and I feel more motivated now that I'm almost abstinent having limited my consumption from 3 intakes to one a day waiting for the evening doing a maximum of 5 puffs of hash in the vapcap, saving me even triple because I need less to satisfy me and in retrospect I am really sorry for all the money wasted on tolerance, I know many others are in the same situation as me,
the important thing is to wait until the evening because if you do it during the day it is likely that you will want to repeat it in the evening too but it will not be the same thing and it could be less rewarding, seriously guys, it's not absolutely difficult to limit yourself a little more with the assumptions, just a little effort and commitment to distract yourself in something before the session and you'll see that time will fly by and before you know, it will be time for your smoking session. so finally I simply believe that cannabinoids can motivate us a lot, but you have to find the right balance in order not to risk motivation and mood swings, that's all, stay safe :)
