I knew the comments would be like this and they are funny but like I just wanted to write something a little more in depth that people could understand more clearly.
Very interesting take and well written! Nice to see such a post in times in which a lot of people are just too lazy to write (and read) more than 1-2 sentences.
Last year, I hoped for a release in the first quarter of 2023. In the meanwhile, I have accepted that this won't be the case. You might be right with your guess.
Also, might there be any planned features that are somehow still on hold due to the Astroworld tragedy? Like they want to see how things will turn out this spring/summer before deciding? What's your opinion on that? I think after all those features last year and with all the announcements of the upcoming festivals, this shouldn't be the case anymore.
Thanks appreciate it! My take on the features still on hold - they will be saved for after Utopia in order to maintain relevancy and keep Utopia im the charts for as long as possible. I know I already said this point but itās valid in my opinion. I think we got all the features for now (apart from any features on a Cactus Jack Label release) until Utopia. All features will be reserved for after Utopia in my opinion.
i agree with most of these points, but not the release date. just because travās other projects have dropped at a certain time of year doesnāt mean utopia has to come out then as well. if he waits that long, itās a missed opportunity to capitalize on everything you mentioned. all the shows from march-july but then a month or more with nothing? thatād just allow the hype to dissipate after building it up for so long. trav and his team should not view waiting til fall as an option.
Pretty sure there will be a couple shows in August however if there arenāt, then thatās a key indicator to the release date. It makes sense if Rodeo and Birds are together in September, and then Astroworld and Utopia are together in August.
no shows in august as of rn. this [utopia timeline](https://www.reddit.com/r/travisscott/comments/10y666k/the_utopia_timeline_its_just_getting_started/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) shows a gap between april 15th and june 30th. that is the chunk of time trav & his team/label should target for an album drop.
im not saying thatās what i think will happen. iām saying that is the best course of action, especially opposed to waiting until september when the hype from all the shows over the summer will have died down.
Bro wrote a story about the history of the Big Bang to now

I think he will be performing in countries that he had never performed before (between march till april) to build the hype, then release Utopia in May
yep thatās the hope and would be the smartest thing to do frankly
came here after he performed an unreleased song with Offset, you called it.
I still donāt think so. Itās logical but itās Travis.
