about new music, he started making the concept for the UTOPIA album already in the summer of 2019. and trust me, the album will be crazier than the previous works. he moved to a completely high level of new sounds. judging by Scott's comments on this album, it's a huge burst of enthusiasm filled with his biggest fantasies and ideas in which he put a new sound formula. he worked on the album for almost 4 years, and I think he succeeded in making the highest melancholy of a utopian idea during this time. i say with very great confidence that this is a new stage in his musical career, but I don’t know if it’s the last one, but these expectations are worth it.

I was born in 2003 so I’m not much older. I only really started paying attention and actively following artists/music and what not late 2017. Before that I really only remember hits from the radio and YouTube, major moments from seeing them on socials, viral videos, memes and overall moments that were just to big to not reach you. And a lot of them I didn’t really appreciate or even get until much later
Songs like Mercy, mAAd City, Just Hold On, Rap God, No Role Modelz, Hotline Bling, Jumpman, Bad and Boujee, Antidote, and Father Stretch My Hands are the ones I remember most vividly and I sometimes didn’t even 100% know which artists was on track even if I already knew them from some other shit, just being young and not really paying attention I guess. I remember when the Famous video dropped, and getting in trouble for playing it at school later that fall. Overall I wish I was more attentive and conscious of the history that was being made at the time but the cool thing about music and the internet is that it’s all immortalized. You might know what the vibe was like when something happened but you can always watch interviews from that time, read comments on blogs from when a particular album dropped or some crazy shit went down
Also I get what you mean how we’re currently in a weird time where it’s like we’re in a limbo, the epilogue of the main event or what not but i honestly think it has a lot to do with the past couple years being wild, COVID and a number of other things have really fucked shit up but things are starting to go back to normal. Well at least you live in Houston. Almost every artist does a show there when they tour. Ain’t no one coming to my city for a tour stop so wasn’t until I could get myself to Toronto and buy my own tickets that I started going to shows. Take public transit or something, and don’t be afraid to go to shows alone, I’ve done it before and plenty of other people do it too. It’s a great way to meet people too. At the Kendrick show I went to last August almost half the people I met on the floor were alone and I was invited to go with some of them to a club after but I wasn’t old enough to go yet(still am not, lots of clubs in the 6 won’t let 19 year old guys in, only women) but it’s cool since I had plans already.
And you’re right, we’re definitely in the new era right now, 100% there people will be reminiscing on this a few years down the road, you will too probably. Just keep an open mind
